In this concise coaching clip, the speaker outlines the critical preparation steps for high school soccer players targeting college recruitment during the upcoming fall season. He emphasizes that college coaches remain active year‑round, with 90% of scholarship offers issued in the fall, and that August is especially hectic, leaving little room for ID camps. Once September arrives, coaches settle into a recruiting rhythm that includes official campus visits. The speaker advises two proactive tactics: (1) arranging a “forced visit” by emailing a coach about attending a fall game regardless of invitation, and (2) consulting the College Soccer Guy for personalized game recommendations that can double as informal visits. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action, inviting viewers to seek further assistance via the links in the bio.

What should you be doing in preparation for the fall season that is now finally around the corner? First, I want you to know that there is no break for college coaches. Many people think, oh, it's during their season, so they're not accepting emails. 90% of offers are made during the fall season. So the coaches, the last thing they're doing is taking a break. Now, it is true, in the months of August, it is very, very busy for the college coaches. If they are taking a break, it's about 2 weeks in August because they have to get everybody on campus. They're doing 2-a-days, and they're just really busy. So August, you'll find that there's almost no ID camps in the middle of August because they're so busy. However, once September and October are around the corner, college coaches get into routine. Remember, they've been doing this a long time. They look up games to scout the next team. Some coaches are doing recruiting. They get into a rhythm. When they're in this rhythm, one of the things that they're doing is having official visits with players coming on campus, sleeping over, and finding out if that's the player they want to be on their team. So what you should be doing is two things. One is called a forced visit. This is when you're going to email the coach that you are coming to the game in the fall with or without the invitation and you'd like to see if you could say hello. Option two is because you've been working really hard with the College Soccer Guy for the last few months, you are going to ask them, I'm thinking about coming to one of the games this fall, which game would you recommend I come to? And then they will tell you which game to go to and then you all of a sudden have a, literally a visit to go to a school. If you want more help playing college soccer, give me a call.
