Three mistakes female soccer recruits make at ID camps: not introducing yourself to coaches, dressing forgettably, and blending in with everyone else. Wear something distinctive like pink shoes or double braids so coaches remember you among hundreds of players.
3 mistakes you should never make when you go to a college. Number 1, if you're going to go to an ID camp cold, make sure you introduce yourself to the coach ideally before the camp. If that doesn't work, stay after. Even if they tell everybody to go home, stay even longer and just say thank you. Don't bother them. They don't want to talk to you. And I'm not encouraging all of you to stay forever, right? Eventually you guys got to go home and the coaches need to go home and they don't know the answers and they will email you. But I am telling you that if you stay a little bit longer in the parking lot, you help them with the gear, you say, can I help you in any way? And don't ask about recruitment. You know, of course they're human beings. They like being Respected. So take the time and don't ask about you. Just say, hey, you know what? I just want to say thank you. I really enjoyed the camp today. That's it. And walk away. Number 2, wear something that stands out, but it's also consistent. I learned this actually from the College Soccer Gals. You can go follow their TikTok page and learn how to just get recruited if you're a girl. And the girls that work those camps are often the players. And then the way they comment on girls is they go, hey, the girl with the double braids. Hey, the girl with the pink shoes. So be consistent with what you wear because it's how they kind of get to memorize you because there are a ton. Of freaking kids. To give you another example, I was at a Pepperdine ID camp and I remember like watching so many girls. I happened to talk to one of the parents. They showed me a video of their daughter. I'm like, she's amazing. I was at the camp for 3 hours. I never saw her daughter. Like she didn't pop out to me. I saw her video. I'm like, she's a D1 player. How did I miss her? That's what happens. If you want more help, comment, call. Bye.
