Eastern Connecticut ranks 155th nationally but went 11-1 in conference play, showing why prospective soccer players shouldn't chase rankings alone. Start with locally strong Division III programs instead of top-tier schools like UConn, and evaluate the coach, not just the record.

Here is the rankings of some very good Division III schools. I want you to notice this is what they're ranked nationally and this is their record. So Eastern Connecticut is not a super high nationally ranked team, right? They're on the lower bottom tier. This would be a school you would want to start emailing. You don't get to just jump straight to UConn, for example, if you're in that area. So this school is ranked 155th nationally, which isn't that great, but in their own conference they had a great season. 11 wins is fantastic. And within this conference, while there's a variety of which schools are, say, the best, within this conference is a top 50 program who went on to win the conference championship, go to the NCAA tournament, and had a fantastic season. And the truth is Southern Maine did great this year. Next year, it very well could be UMass Boston. It is not a consistent thing, specifically in Division III, of who's gonna do great. So that's why you have to be mindful of not just picking who's gonna win the games, but which coach do you like the most. If you want a list of schools in your state, comment the initials of your state, for example, California, CA, then the word colleges, and I'll send you a list of all the colleges in your state. If you want more help playing Call of Soccer, comment the word "call" and we can schedule a call with you and your parents. Mom and dad must be there. Thank you.
