There are 1,239 men's college soccer teams, but most players should ignore low-profile programs. For strong students (GPA 3.5+), focus on top 25 Division I or Division III schools. Skip NAIA Division II and junior colleges unless academics aren't a priority.

There are 1,239 men's college soccer teams between NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA and J combined. If you want to play college soccer, there is a school out there for you. Can you get a scholarship? I can't really tell if this guy is taking a shot at me and he's trying to say like, hey, don't worry about it, you're going to find a college soccer team, or if he's just trying to be helpful and say, hey, there's a lot of schools out there and it's very exciting that you could find, you know, a college soccer team. This is a common saying in the recruiting agency's world where it's like, if you really want to play college soccer, there's a school out there for you. And there's some truth to this, as this guy's saying there's many teams, but most of you don't want to go to the middle of nowhere, Iowa. You don't want to sacrifice your academics, and you don't want to go to on some very small NAIA school that's almost like high school level, because the NAIA has two divisions, Division I and II, and Division II NAIA is considerably a lower level than any of those divisions. And junior college, while there are many of them, most of you guys have— certainly who watch my videos— you guys' grades are at least above a 3.5, which means you don't want to go to junior college, and frankly, you shouldn't go to junior college. So while this guy's saying there's many schools, there's really not that many schools. There's Division I, II, and III that you're considering. If you have top grades, 4.0 and above, you're not gonna wanna go to any Division II schools unless it's engineering, computer science, or aeronautical, aerospace, which Division II programs are really good for those. So now you're just talking about DIII and D1. Then on top of that, if you have really good grades, you're not gonna wanna go to Bowling Green or IUPUI, which are very good Division I soccer programs, but not as known academically. So now you only wanna go to the top 25 Division Is and the top 25 Division IIIs, and all of a sudden there's only 50, teams for thousands of players. So while it feels like there's tons of schools, there really is not, because we want you to find a school that is lovely to you. And if you want help with that, give us a call, link in the bio. Uh, Waski, I love your comments, so I'm not trying to argue with you, but if you have any more questions, let us know. Talk soon.
