Youth soccer players aiming for college need exposure through showcases and ID camps, not just good coaching. A strong showcase performance can lead to invitations to ID camps where college coaches see you among fewer prospects.

How do you know when it's the right time to switch your club team to move to another club team that might be at a higher level? This depends what your goals are. If your goal is to play high school soccer, then you may never need to leave your club team. But if your goal is to play college soccer, if your goal is to play Division 3 college soccer, Division 2, Division 1, then you may need to face the facts and go ask the question: is your club team getting the exposure? Forget if it's a good coach, forget if it's a good level. Is it getting the exposure? If you are not going showcases or events, then you're just another team in another league who's got to go to ID camps and send emails to get recruited. If you want to play Division I especially, but it's also true for Division III and Division II, if you are going to showcases, then you could maybe get recruited without needing to go to as many camps or as many events that are hosted by the school because you're going to the showcase. Let's also add, you're gonna probably have to go to some ID camps, but what if you could go to an ID camp because they saw you at a showcase and they really liked you, and you're not just one of many at the ID camp you're one of the few they want to actually see. You can see on the other TikTok pages I've posted that girls especially will have 50 to 100 kids in an ID camp, but the coaches are really only there to watch 10 or 15. You need to become one of the 10 to 15. If you want more help, comment, call, and we'll schedule a call with you and your parents to see if we can help you play college soccer.
