A junior soccer player with a 3.7 GPA recommends Masters ID Camp, Future 500, and Harvard Clinic for younger players, but says juniors should skip mass camps and wait for direct invitations from coaches instead. Mass camps often just funnel you into paid individual camps, though coaches do use them to find real talent.

I'm a junior with a 3.7 GPA. I play MLS Next 2. Which ID camp should I go to? This does depend on your level, of course, and what your parents want from you. But shortly, I would say Masters ID camp can be really good. Future 500 could be really good. Elite Soccer Camp hosted by Occidental in the Los Angeles area is really good. And 60 ID camp is really good. Harvard Clinic, PPA 300, PPA 200, those are also very good. Elite Soccer Camp 200 and 300 are also good. Now these are mass ID camps. There's another one called Top Academic that's on the East Coast. These are great camps to go to in a mass way. If you're a junior, I'd recommend going to one of or two of these, but you need to spend your attention on what we call genuine invitations from individual ID camps as a junior. 8th grade, freshman, sophomore year are for mass ID camps. Junior, senior year are for individual ID camps. The reason is if you go to a mass ID camp as a junior, which some of you may do, the coach is going to say that was really great, it was great Could you please come to my individual ID camp? You're gonna be like, wow, that's really annoying. I just spent all this money. Now they want me to come to their camp again. But that is going to happen. I guarantee it. Now, the good news about that is technically that means they really like you and they want to see you again. And that is a really good thing. They could very well say, I don't need to see you again. Of course they want money for camps, but these coaches get plenty of kids coming to their camps. What they do want is they want good players at their camps because they need to recruit you somehow and they want to see you at the camps. If you comment the word quiz, I will be able to send you a quiz that might help you decide which camps are right for you. Give me a call, link to the bio, and we can talk soon.
