A recruiting roadmap for high school soccer players starting the college process. Attend mass ID camps like Future 500 and Masters 60 sophomore year to get on coaches' radars early, then shift to school-specific camps junior year. Being first in a coach's recruiting queue, not last, determines your chances.

I'm a sophomore playing MLS Next 2 or ECNL RL. Which ID camp should I go to? So first of all, I want to applaud you. If you are starting this process sophomore year, you have the opportunity to potentially play Division 1 soccer, especially if you're already playing MLS Next or ECNL RL. Now, because you didn't start as a freshman, you may not be able to play at the top 25 schools, and you still may be able to depending on how quickly we get things going, but I just want to say great job for beginning. So at this age, I want you to go to as many Mass ID camps as you're comfortable going to. The reason is this guarantees that coaches can see you, and many of them, and because of your age, they That will lead into your junior year where we can focus specifically on individual ID camps and senior year something similar or frankly offers. So then you already know where you're gonna go to school before you even apply. So some of the big camps that I like are Future 500, Masters 60, Harvard Clinic, PPA, Top Academic, Elite 300, Elite 200. These are all really good camps, especially high-level academics. If there's a dream school of yours or you get genuine interest from a D3 school or illegally a D1 school, which will happen especially if you're a girl, then you should totally go to those individual camps. That will change your life. If you want to get phone calls by June 15th of your sophomore year, which is about a year from this video being made, that will also change your life if you go to those individual camps. Now, you may have showcases or events like it. Coaches will come to your showcase events, especially despite them also focusing on their juniors and seniors. They do want to see you. But yes, they are focusing on some other years also. The goal is you want these coaches to tell you, I know you are, but we're focusing on some other kids right now, but we'll get back to you. And the reason you want that to happen is because that means you're at the front of the line. You do not wanna end up at the back of the line. Once you're at the back of the line, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to get to the front of the line. So you want these coaches to tell you, hey, we're focusing on our 2027s or 2026s, depending on when you're watching this video, and we're gonna get to you very shortly. Thank you, please keep us updated. Now it's like you're at the Apple Store, and while the doors are locked, you're the first one in line. If you go and decide to go to the Apple Store and they're selling new iPhones on time, by the time you get there, all the phones will be gone. Hence, all the positions will be gone and all the roster spots. You want the coaches to know who you are, freshman, sophomore. These coaches can multitask, okay? They can recruit an age group of juniors and an age group of sophomores at the same time. They've been doing this for 20 years. If you type in the word quiz, you'll get a list of questions to decide which camps might be good for you. If you want more help, give me a call. Links in the bio. Talk to you soon.
