No one believed I'd be able to play college soccer, let alone get a full ride to play Division I soccer after playing JV soccer as a junior in high school. Here's my secret. I went to a lot of camps. Over the course of starting in 8th grade till senior year, I went to about 38 camps. Now that's a lot of camps and not all of us have the privilege to do so, but by going from no club team to JV soccer, to finally making a good club team, to finally getting interest at a camp, to finally getting them to come to my showcase. That is what it took. You need to go to a lot of camps. Many of you are frustrated with ID camps because you think they're a money grab. That is correct. But if tomorrow the NCAA said, we're no longer allowing colleges to have camps, getting recruited would be beyond difficult. The only way would be video, which top schools will not recruit you only on video, or showcases, and showcases are really limited because you may not get the ball, your team may get a red card, you might not play minutes, your coach might say we're canceling the showcase. We should be grateful that we can go to ID camp and basically get guaranteed to be seen up close. If you comment the word quiz, I will send you a quiz, how to pick the right ID camps for you so you don't have to go to 38, so you can pick the best ones for you. Because when I was doing the process, I didn't know what I was doing. If you want more help playing college soccer, give me a call, link's in the bio.
