The U.S. youth soccer ID2 system connects young players to college coaches through national and regional programs. College coaches rarely show up to ID2 events, but many coach within ID2 or know the coaches there, so they can still find you. Comment "state" for a list of the best club teams in your state.
Is ID2 good enough to play college soccer? So there are different levels of ID2 based off of the region you're in in the state. If you're talking about ID2 that's directly affiliated with the national team, then that's a really big deal and you may be good enough to play at the highest levels of college soccer, the Florida States, the North Carolinas, the UCLAs. If your ID2 is still within your region, it's definitely something you should do and put on your resume. College coaches don't tend to come to events of ID2, but college coaches either coach in ID2, so they're literally coaching you, or they know the coaches within ID2 and can connect and talk to you.
