Start recruiting in middle school if you want college scholarships. A 7th grader got D-III coach interest from a showcase email, and another athlete verbally committed to an Ivy League school after starting recruitment in 7th grade. Early exposure helps coaches track your progression and maximizes opportunities.
This is the perfect age to start the recruiting process. I have done all the math, I have done all the logic, and I have the answer. And the answer actually came from one of our students, so I want you to hear what their parents have to say real quick. From what we've learned and read, um, it's, it's the sooner you start, the better it is. Yeah, that's pretty much how it runs, you know what I mean? You don't want to be late to the game.
Yeah, so I went to UM, and most of the student athletes The recruitment process was very different back then, right, from now. And everything that I'm hearing from, you know, friends of mine that have kids in different sports— football, basketball, baseball— recruitment, the earlier the better. Everyone's telling Melissa, you got to get on the ball with Kaylee. Like, she has talent. You know, try to get her like seen earlier. So she's already played for the national team for a different country 2 years up and went to CONCACAF all the way to the finals. That's awesome. And performed very well and is now being seen actually with the US. So we kind of— I was telling my husband, I was like, we got to start now. Like, we can't be sleeping on this with her, you know, if this is what she and seems like this is what she really wants to do.
This is another example. I'm in 7th grade, Easton L player, and the D3 coaches are already responding to my showcase email. This is another former student. I'm sure you get these all the time, but I wanted to thank you for all your posts. We started following your advice almost 3 years ago before the summers of my daughter's freshman year, so she was starting in 7th, 8th grade. She ended up verbally committing to an Ivy League school in past April. If you want to have the best chance to get the most money to go to the best schools, the sooner you start, the better. I know all of you are worried, well, what if my student's not good enough? The coaches want to see progression. That is not your problem. Your problem is that nobody knows who you are and it takes a long time to get them to know your face and your name more than the student next to you. And as you saw already, you know, you're competing with national team kids. So if you don't get started right away, you're gonna be in trouble. If you want more help, comment the word early so you can get more evidence as to why, like if you're not sure, if you still think it's too early, comment the word early and I'll send you like directions as to how it's not too early. But otherwise, book a call with me and I'll talk to you soon. Link's in the bio.
