Could the high school you go to affect your chance of getting college scholarship? The answer is basically no. High school soccer really has nothing to do with college soccer now other than video, and there's a couple exceptions to that where some schools do still look at high school soccer, but club soccer is really everything. In terms of getting an athletic scholarship, you guys really want to shift your brains because that's not really happening. And also, athletic scholarships aren't that much money. So let's say you do get an athletic scholarship of $8,000 a year. That's great. If you have above a 3.5 GPA and you apply to certain schools, you're gonna get $20,000 to $40,000 to $50,000 to $60,000 to $80,000 to $100,000 in scholarship. If you really want scholarships, on academics, not expect the soccer to take hold of, give you a scholarship. You have a much better chance and you get way more money if you do better in school than if you do well in soccer. I think why you're asking this question is because you want to get a college scholarship. So the first thing you need to do is you have to start early, sophomore year, And then you need to start communicating with Division III schools leading up to June 15th. And then if it's— you're already a junior and you're asking me this question, then you need to basically start having phone calls with schools and start going to events right now so that way they can recruit you.
