A recruiting strategy for a sophomore goalkeeper: start with a January showcase email hook, build a highlight video, target Division II and III schools first, then reach out to Division I programs like Bucknell. Attend two East Coast camps before summer ends, then send follow-up emails with skill-specific clips like playing out of the back and corners.

This is a couple things that are gonna make their situation unique. Number 1 is they have a showcase, a GA showcase in January. So I want us to start, the very first email will be the showcase email, and we're gonna use this as our mass email. That's number 1, or number 2. Number 3 is we're gonna fix our video. I'll get into a separate video about how we're gonna do that. Number 4, we're gonna start with the D2s and the D3s. There's a, a couple different tiers here. I wanted to do all the tiers for right now. She's a short goalkeeper, but she's quite good, which we'll get into in a minute. D2, D3, all the tiers. Number 5, the camps. So these are the camps that I've looked up so far. I will do some more research as well. That I'd like us to consider based off of where they live, East Coast, and some camps coming up. And for girls that are good, these are the two main ones in terms of mass camps, which I don't love, but as a sophomore, she should go to at least two camps, two mass camps, two mass camps before the end of the summer. So that would be ideal. Now what we're gonna do is we're gonna start emailing. So the goal is we get genuine interest and we pick two more camps based off of that. But I'm also gonna add one more round of camps depending on what we want. If you have a dream D1, like she loves Buck, She's already been to the camp, so that's checked. Done. If there's another dream D3 or D2, go. This is where things will happen with the D1 schools. They're just going to say, great, good to know you. Keep in touch. I don't know if Bucknell's realistic from what I've seen in the video so far, but they have also expressed that she's a short goalkeeper and that she can do it. So here's how the email is going to read and they're going to help us fix it. Dear Coach, genuine ask. My team will help you with that. So don't worry about that. Then it's going to say, my name is— and she's not going to mention her height anywhere. We're not mentioning it. My name is— I play for— I have a dot dot dot GPA and play as a goalkeeper. I graduate in the class of dot dot dot. Then she's gonna say, my sisters both play college sports. One plays lacrosse— is a big deal, coaches love to know this because it means that she comes from an athletic family— at dot dot dot. And the middle sister, or whatever the truth is, plays at dot dot dot. Then she's gonna say, I have attached my video here, link. And this also has to go into her signature, link, which we'll do that later. And that's how we're gonna start. That'll be round 1. Round 2 of emails will be some every-touch videos and eventually training videos. And then depending on what we get, I may want some videos of like, I can edit this for her, but just start on training videos, every-touch videos. If she's really good at playing out of the back, which she is, I have some moments of it, I want playing out of the back and just that. Corners, goal kicks. This is really done through the training videos where we can see this stuff kind of up close in person. So she needs one of these. She doesn't need it right away, but in the future. Okay. That's how we're gonna follow up, which will be very important. All right. Okay. That's it for right now.
