The video follows a Division 1 college soccer player through a typical game‑day routine for a match against the University of Delaware. It opens with a relaxed wake‑up at 7 AM, a brief scripture reading, and content creation. The player and teammates explore a newly opened campus Wawa, describing it as a "candy store" and noting the convenience of coffee and protein bars. They head to the locker room, discuss the new jerseys, and share a team breakfast of fruit, eggs, and toast, followed by a mobility walk. After a pre‑game lunch, the team travels to Delaware, checks out the opponent’s carpet‑style field, and the narrator mentions his ongoing recovery from Achilles tendonitis, which keeps him from playing. The vlog ends with a halftime‑style call‑to‑action encouraging viewers to comment "Division 1" for more information about playing D1 soccer, while also warning that college soccer may not suit those seeking a purely academic focus.
Day in the life of a D1 soccer player. Game day versus University of Delaware.
Today we got a bunch of game day behind the scenes as well as some new facilities we have on campus. Wake up today was at 7 AM. It was game day, so the coaches let us sleep in a little bit today. As always, first thing I did out of bed was read my scripture, then I hopped into doing some content work. By 8:30, I met up with some of my boys and we checked out a new facility we just got on campus. Gonna get some sushi, noodle spot, and the holy grail of it all, they installed— this facility is insane, okay? I went to Valpo, it was not this nice. This is crazy at all. They installed the Wawa on our campus. Me and the guys could not believe it. I was legit a kid in a candy store in there. Got our coffee and a protein bar. Blown away, blown away. After my coffee run with the guys, I went to the locker room and I actually found out a bunch of kids on the team had actually checked out the Wawa. We all had the same idea. By 9:30, we had—
can you see this is professional soccer? This is better. I played MLS, I played in the USL. This is better than all of the facilities I came across, and this is why you're competing with international. Team breakfast, some fruit, eggs, some toast.
And after we ate, we went on a team mobility walk to get the legs moving a little bit. Breakfast is the one meal I like to coach. I decided to wait to eat mine.
We were headed to pregame meal and lunch.
1 o'clock, I headed over to lunch. Weather is unreal. Before lunch, made a quick pit stop at the locker room to find our jerseys hanging off. New number, new season. Before our team lunch, we had we left for Delaware.
If you think this looks amazing and fun, then college soccer is for you. On the other hand, if you think this looks like no academics and not your vibe, then don't go to Division 1. There's no way.
Bumping some techno, I don't even know what they call that music, on the way out to Delaware. Once we got to their facilities, we put our stuff down in the locker room and then took a hike to check out the field. Delaware's field is a straight carpet. I'm almost back from my Achilles tendonitis injury, so I couldn't play in the game today. Honestly though, fields like this make you want to just disregard your injury and play anyways. Walked out to the field at 6:15 for a 7 PM kickoff.
Here's me putting on a little halftime show. Didn't get the win. So this kid is injured and didn't get to play a single minute, and he still had an awesome travel experience. So that's pretty legit. If you want to play Division 1 college soccer, comment the word Division 1 and I'll show you how.
