A recruiting roadmap for student-athletes: audit past contacts, email Division III engineering schools like Middlebury first, then Division II, then optionally Division I using mass email. Send a showcase email by December, get your recruitment video polished, and skip camps unless a school specifically invites you.
Chapters
The first thing is we need to do an audit, 'cause you've already spoken to some schools, so I need to know what has been said and how it's been said. And you're gonna fill out a sheet called the top school sheet, which we'll show you how to do. But that will be step 1. I need to see everybody you've emailed. Number 2 is we're gonna send an email to all the top academic D3s, which all have engineering. I think there's a couple in there that don't, but they have either a version of it and it will help us for leverage. So you're gonna email, I'm gonna give you a list. They're only the top ones, Middlebury, NESCAC types of schools. Number 3 is we're gonna email the D2s with engineering. And then if you do it my way, we will also email the D1s. With our system, this is not that difficult, but we'll show you how to do it. The email you're gonna send, because the showcase is a little bit far away, we're gonna use our mass email, which I can show you what that looks like. And when we're working together, or as we're working together, like what we'll send. No camps, we're not going to go to any camps. I will admit, if there is a school that says, I love you, please come to camp, I would say to mom and dad, if it's a dream school only, then go. And you got to spend the money, and it's the best way to get recruited, to be honest. Which brings us to, by the end of December, we have to send out the showcase email, and then I need to fix your video, which I'm going to talk about here. If there was a camp you wanted to consider, it would be this one. Honestly, that's really it. That would be the only camp to consider if you were open to going to a camp.
