The number one reason talented players don't get recruited. Don't let this be you. Number one, they start way too late. If you start late in the process, then the super talented players who want to go D1 and feel like they deserve to go D1 just don't get to because the space is gone and other players have taken their positions. I had a student once who was one of the best players I had ever seen a video of. Really, really amazing player. MLS Next. I was like, wow, who are you being recruited by in our first call? And they said nobody. I go, how is that possible? Like, this is a phenomenal video. You're a very good player. And they go, well, I'm a senior and I like just didn't start the process. I kind of thought they were going to come to me. And of course I was in my head thinking, you freaking— what the hell were you thinking? Because now we're in a lot of trouble. So what we had to do was we had to email Division III and Division II schools, even though they didn't want to go to those schools, because I said, look, if you're not open-minded to those, then you're just not going to get to play college soccer. They go, what if I take a gap year? I go, if you take a gap year right now as a senior, you're still behind. Like, you're still You should have started 2 or 3 years ago, so you're going to end up right back in the position you're in right now. So the only way to fix this is you're going to have to be open-minded. But the good news is, because you're so good, there's a very good chance you're going to get offers just off your video alone from the D3, D2s. And then when you go talk to D1s that have other offers, they will be much more likely to respond to your emails and take phone calls and want to get on a phone call with you because you are the level. If you want more help, give me a call, a comment call, and I can schedule a call with you and your parents. Goodbye.
