Sophomore goalkeepers need different recruitment footage than field players: training clips, corner and goal-kick isolates, every-touch compilations, mic-up recordings, and GoPro footage from behind the goal. Attend goalkeeper-focused ID camps and target Division III or Division II programs unless your video is Division I level.

Do type of videos vary or differ if you're a goalkeeper who's a sophomore? The answer is absolutely. Goalkeepers need way different video. They need training video, they need videos of just corners, of just goal kicks. They also need every-touch videos too. You also need mic'd up versions of yourself. A GoPro behind the goal is really helpful. When you go to a game, it's very unlikely that you're going to be super involved unless your team has the ball out of the back, in which case you're going to use your feet more than anything else, or you're getting shot on all the time. So ID camps for you guys are really important because at an ID camp, The coach gets to work with not that many. They limit the number of goalkeepers and they get really close and personal. So camps for goalkeepers are really helpful. But goalkeeping is completely different. If you're playing Eastern RL as a sophomore, aim for D3, D2. Doesn't mean you can't play Division 1, but I would need to see your video. So send it to me in the link in the bio. If you want more help, give us a call. Link in the bio. Bye.
