I went in the portal.
Okay.
I got a bunch of emails from like, at first, flooded with like D3.
Is there like a database that you put yourself into the portal? Is it a real thing?
It is.
Coaches have this database of the transfer portal and they just see all these names.
I'm almost positive. We can't see it when we're in it. We can't see it. First day, it was flooded with a bunch of schools. I had no idea what they were. I was like, oh my God.
This is what it's going to be.
I'm going to have to be a D2, D3 if I ever want to play soccer again. I reached out to Aaron and Dade. I just like let them know I was like in the portal, whatever. Right away, Eric was like, want to call about it? 2 days after I told Eric, he had called me and said that Patrick Baker, FAU coach, reached out to him. Why are they calling everyone but me? I was like, this is so weird. There's a third person. Are they allowed to?
I don't know. Okay, they are. They can talk to anyone they want. I wonder how many people panic in that first week. Oh my God. They're not coming. The D1s, the other D1s aren't coming. So then they, and so then they just say, okay, I'm going to pick this D3. I'm going to pick this D2. Wow.
