College Soccer Recruiting Process Explained

You are a freshman and you want to know what it looks like to work with me, The College Soccer Guy. So let me preface this by saying if you think it is too early, then we may not be the right fit to work together. I'm going to show you some examples of why you maybe should have started even last year, but let's get into what it looks like to work with me. So the first thing is this. This is one of our 8th graders already talking to a school at Middlebury, which is top academic D3. D2s and D3s can now respond to you in any which way they like. This is a girl who's already started and she's in 7th grade and she's already emailing D3 coaches and starting email the D2s and the D1s. So the recruiting process has begun one way or another. Now you might be going like, but what if it's, you know, what about me and my situation? Like, are you the right person to get started as a freshman? And so what I want to explain to you is my job in this recruiting process is to give you the best chance to get recruited to play college soccer. So what's important is I'm not the one who's ever going to pick your college soccer team for you, meaning I'm not the coach who's going to say, yes, you're the player I want. My job is to give you the best chance to play college soccer. And so one of the ways we do that, and I'll just show you in a quick example, is the college coaches will reach out to me and they'll say, hey, is this one of your players that you work with? I really love their EveryTouch video and I love their interview. Makes my life so great. So the college coaches like the system in which we are going to teach you how to do. So let's talk about what that system looks like. So the first thing is your video. I know you have a video or you're thinking about making a video or a combination of both. We're gonna fix it. It's not gonna be as good. You saw that message from the college coaches. They want it in a certain way, and we know how to make it that certain way. So it's really important that we do the videos my way. That's number one. Number two is we have this very special magical system that I spent my life savings on that is proprietary just to me. So this is an email system, and what it is and what makes it special is it directly connects to your personal Gmail account. That's magic number 1. Magic number 2, if I click select all, and we can of course do it by major, we can do it by region, state, et cetera, but let's just, for simplicity, I press select all. I click write email. Magic number 2, I go dear hashtag coach. Magic number 3, hashtag genuine. Magic number 4, hashtag school name. And it will automatically populate the coach's name, it will help us say something genuine, we do need to prompt you to help you find some genuine aspects, and it will automatically go to every single one of these coaches individually from your own email account, but that's only magic number 5. Here's magic number 6. Every time you don't get an email response, it will follow up and you can insert your highlight video. And when it inserts the highlight video, the system will track whether or not the video has been viewed and if the coach selected a prompt. What's special about our system, which is again special to only us, is the video that is sent out, just to go back and show you really quickly, When we send the email out, it's gonna pop up as a GIF, AKA thumbnail image, on the email itself, which is very complicated coding-wise, but we spent a lot of time and money on to figure it out. And it will ask these 3 questions. These questions prompt the coaches to get us the most responses, and it allows so the coaches don't have to literally open the email. All they have to do is click it, and it will take them to this page. And when it takes them to this page, It will say which option do they want. I'd like more video, I wanna see you at camp, et cetera, which allows the coaches to respond to you faster and easier. And then the system, when you go to your pipeline, will let you know this is what this coach said. Please send more video. Please come to our ID camp. So we're able to get better and more genuine responses. So now we've got the best video, the best email system, ID camps. This is when you're going to meet with my team in order to speak about the results we've been given through the AI system. Now the AI system is through the emails that every time you receive an email, The system will tell you, was it genuine, was it generic, and it's gonna organize it into each section so we know who to follow up with, to send more video to, to maybe back off of, et cetera. Then we also now have to do an audit, right? You've already done some of the process or you're thinking about doing it, or in your case, maybe you've sent some emails out. We need to read what you've been doing 'cause you probably haven't been doing it our way, and therefore we might be missing or losing things through the cracks. You might be happy with your club level, you might wanna leave. You might wanna leave, in 6 months from now, in 3 months from now? We need to learn about your club coach. Can we leverage them? Will they help us, et cetera? So in saying all of that, this is where we wanna help you. Then we wanna narrow down your list. We will give you a list of schools for you to reach out to that we believe are realistic for you, both athletically and academically. But at the end of the day, remember, my job is to give you the best chance to get the most exposure with our system. So you will have your dream schools. My job is so that way you get into your dream schools. Now, if your dream school is Stanford, and we don't think you're the level for Stanford, We will tell you, but it will not stop us from emailing Stanford because soccer is subjective. Why should my opinion stop you from emailing your dream school? I've had many coaches tell me I suck. I was playing JV soccer as a junior in high school. Nobody believed in me, and I went on to play Division I, and I got a full ride, and I played pro soccer, even though everybody told me no. So I'm not gonna be the reason you don't email a school. I am gonna be the reason that you don't email a school poorly, or that you don't email them with good video. And I wanna make sure you have the best video. Then you have to find out who do you like, and then what you really need to ask me is, Zev, you know, why are your services worth it? Why should we pay you? And this is the main reason. You must find a coach you love. Academics always come first. We wanna prioritize academics, but if you don't love your coach and have an amazing experience like I did, and with a coach who was a great human, you'll end up like my brother who was absolutely miserable and wanted to quit and had 2 hip surgeries 'cause his coach was an absolute prick. Now, when it comes to work with me on the day-to-day, People say to me like, "Do you have any connections?" We do have connections to college coaches. The coaches will message me like I showed you before. They'll literally message us, "When are you going to send me one of your ballers?" We are going to let you know within when we work together like which schools are looking for positions and that's how we create your list. And then we're going to say you should email them or, you know, we become your dating coach. These are coaches messaging me. We need a goalkeeper, we need a forward, we need a center back. And that's kind of how we create your preliminary list. Now when you work with us, this is what it looks like to work with us on the day-to-day. You're going to get a Called Soccer Guy coach, so to be very clear, crystal clear, you will never speak to me over Zoom. You will speak to your Called Soccer Guy coach or gal coach. That coach was once in your shoes, watched this same video, went on to work with me, went on to play college soccer, and now they work for me. And you will be able to message me in the app, but I will not respond to you. I will then talk to your coach. Your coach and I will then respond to you through your coach. So you won't really directly, you'll have direct access to me 'cause I monitor everything, but you'll be speaking to your coach. Now of course you might go, well Zev, we fall in love with you, you know, we wanna talk to you. You're the one we watch the videos with. It's not that I don't wanna talk to you. I would love to talk to you. But here is the dilemma. I have to go make your list, I have to go talk to college coaches, I have to work with the students to find out how MLS Next 2 is gonna affect you, how ECNL is gonna affect you. The head, Lewis Roblaze, who's the head of MLS Next, talks to me you know, on Instagram and calls me and says, we have this new thing and this new thing. So I'm working for you, but I'm over here. So then I'm busy going to NCAA conferences, learning how the new rules are gonna affect you and if NIL can make you more money one day. And then I talk to your coach. So I speak to your coach every 2 days. So you, it's not that I don't wanna talk to you, I'm just busy working for you. We will go through game video review 'cause I will be editing your videos, making sure they look fantastic. You will get a Google Drive and your Google Drive will look like this. This is one of our students. You will get a Google Drive where we have your list of D1, we will give you a list of D2, we will also give you a top academic list, we will also give you a list based— it's always based on your major, but even more specific to your major. And then we will then edit all your videos, which we will be making like 6 to 10 of these, so I'll be busy working for you. And we will be fixing up your highlight video, which is obviously super important too. All you have to do is send us the full video. You do not have to edit anything. We will edit the videos for you. Then every time we meet, you're gonna meet with your college soccer guy or gal coach and we're gonna have a to-do list. You need to do X, Y, Z. And in there, you're gonna see here, you know, this is the meeting that they had, here's her coach talking about what they need to do for today's meeting so that way we can give you the best chance of playing college soccer at the school we wanna play at. So far, if you have above a 3.2 GPA, this has been our success in terms of scholarship. Now if you have above a 3.5, 3.7, then this number goes up and up and up. There's obviously a big range. Now, this is one of the students. Division III is where the most money is. So if you're like, I want scholarship, NAIA and Division III is where the most money is. However, we don't wanna sacrifice money just to go play soccer, right? We don't want you to just go to, say you get a full ride, but it's a bad academic school. We don't want you to go. Let's say it's a full ride, but you're not gonna enjoy the coach. We don't want you to go. So we wanna balance. Now money's a message. Money says to us, Hey, if they're willing to give me money academically or athletically, then it means that it's very likely they're gonna play minutes. So that's why we're after the money. If they're willing to get you into the school because of soccer, because you have good grades, but they also wanna make sure you get in, that means they like us and you're gonna play minutes. So money is a message and that's why we want the money. Now there are a couple different models in which I work with students your age. So this is my website. I think you saw this already and this is an example of us We changed this guy's video and he got a scholarship within like a week. This student committed to Duke as a sophomore, so he had already been going to 7 Duke ID camps before 10th grade. So if you wanna go to those schools and you haven't already done that, we need to catch up, and we're behind. So, in saying all of that, the one model we have is what we call the white glove treatment. This is where we do everything up for you. We write your emails, we log into your email system, we edit your videos, and we do the whole process for you as you, so it's your email account, but we log in as you.
