When should you start reviewing game video in order to play at MLS Next or ECNL? I'm the Youth Called Soccer guy and I help you play MLS Next or ECNL. So game video is really important as long as the child is having fun, or you, if you are the athlete, are enjoying watching the footage. So that is to say, you don't want to go really critique anything. Just record it and then just go find the parts that are really fun. When you do a make, when you dribble past somebody, when you score a goal. Now you don't want to put too much emphasis on that because you don't want the player, the athlete, going, I just want to make you, I just want to dribble past you, and and that's all they think about. You want them to go, hey, like, I played a great pass that helped the team win, because later when they have a college coach, that's what they're gonna want. But by going over the footage now, you as a parent, if you're listening to this, can go, oh wow, I missed one of the great goals. If you miss a great goal when they're in 8th grade or 9th grade, that is a problem, okay? You cannot have that. You need the goals on video. This is when you're gonna mess up. You recorded wrong, you should've recorded this way or this way or vertical, and now you gotta do it again, the angle wasn't good. The reason I'm so adamant about this is 'cause my father is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Growing up, he just filmed us all the time and obviously put together amazing highlight videos from ages of 5 years old all the way up until we were into college and eventually even into pro, and that's how I played pro soccer.
