A 5'6" soccer recruit isn't hearing back from coaches. The College Soccer Guy says generic platforms like NCSA get ignored. Instead, email from your personal account with one specific question: can I attend your ID camp, are you recruiting my position, what's your timeline. That gets responses.

Hey coach, nobody likes me. None of the college coaches are responding. I think it's because I'm too small. Well, I was 5'6" getting recruited to play college soccer. I went on to play pro soccer. I don't think it's that you're too small. Well, I have all my highlight videos. I've sent all my videos. I don't understand why people, the coaches, are not responding to my emails or my video. Well, how many emails have you sent out at this point? Well, I use this company called NCSA and I've sent about like 25 emails. Oh dang it, you can't be using NCSA or anybody's recruiting platform because college coaches hate when they get the messages that they know are robotic or generic. You're going to have to send it from your own email account. My own email account? That's going to take me forever. I know. Luckily, The College Soccer Guy does have an email system that allows it to be genuine from your own account, which makes your life a lot better. But even if you don't have that, you still got to send it from your own account to get to really know if they should be responding to you. Is there anything else I should be putting in my emails that I'm not putting in my emails right now, Coach? Yeah, probably. One of the things is you gotta make sure you have a question. When you're emailing coaches, if you just ask for feedback every time or, "Hey, do you want to recruit me?" they're not really going to respond to you. You're going to have to ask a question such as, "May I have permission to come to your ID camp? Are you looking for my position for the class of X? What is your recruiting timeline?" This makes them much more likely to respond to you. If you want more help, comment "call" and we can schedule a call with you and your parents. I'm the College Soccer Guy, by the way.
