Three mistakes players make at ID camps with 11-v-11 matches: burning out in warm-ups instead of saving energy for the games that matter, kicking the ball away instead of keeping possession, and staying silent rather than calling for the ball and learning teammates' names fast.

3 mistakes I see every single player make at an ID camp, specifically in 11v11. So at the very beginning of camp, you do need to put in your full focus, but not always your full energy. So during the sprints you might do, or the warm-up, or even 7v7 or possession, you definitely want to of course work hard, but maybe reserve your energy to be like 60 to 80%, because 11s is really where you get judged to the most of your ability, and you will probably play more than one 11s. In your very first 11s, everybody's gonna have energy, so obviously those will be a bit more intense. So fitness is an obvious one. Now Now like in that instance, see how he passed it but it was clearly like an indication of it was a kick away? Never do that in 11s. He's better off dribbling and losing it. Of course, ideally don't lose it, but never just kick it away, quote unquote. It's really important that you know you're not gonna get the ball that often and there's really nothing you can do about that because you're playing with strangers. So this is where communication's really helpful. And right when the ball goes out of bounds, this is when you wanna play as quickly as possible and ask for the ball as much as you can. You don't necessarily wanna go out of position to go get the ball, because obviously that would be a bit strange. But you do want to get the ball as much as possible. You have so many opportunities to make a difference on the field, so getting on the ball is key. Your defensive work is helpful too, but you've got to get the ball. So memorize the names of your players on your team, because then you'll get the ball way more often. This kid, 167, we picked him out early on. Within 2 or 3 touches, I was like, hey, he's better than quote-unquote some of the other players just by watching him get on the ball 1 or 2 times. Now don't stress, because this camp Hosted by Occidental because you will also get in '77. They get the ball. If you want to know the best camps, comment the word camp and I'll send you a list.
