A coach breaks down how to choose between GA Aspire and ECNL RL soccer clubs for young players. He weighs three things: whether your kid improves under the coach, if the club explains the college path clearly, and if they offer video editing. ECNL RL usually wins, unless you've got a strong stepping-stone team or specific team dynamics that favor GA Aspire.

I'm 11 or 12 or 13 years old and I'm trying to pick between GA Aspire or ECNL RL. Which one should I pick? I'm going to give you a black or white answer to this question, but before I do, I want you to consider these 3 things. Number 1, do you like your coach? Are you having a good time? Are you getting better at soccer? 2, has the coach or the club explained to you what the process would look like if you one day want to play college soccer? 3, will the club edit videos for you? Okay, now for the black or white answer. The answer is ECNL RL. That's typically always the better club to play for than GA Aspire. However, based off those previous questions, that could change. Likewise, if your ECNL RL team has a very good stepping stone to an ECNL team, that could be a good place to go. The problem is if that ECNL team's amazing and you think you're never going to play for them, then you're probably still better off staying in ECNL RL than maybe GA, which I'll make another video about. If you're not sure what to do, comment the word club and we can ask you a series of questions to find out what you should do given your situation.
