A coach tells high-GPA soccer players that Trinity College, which competes in the strong NESCAC conference, has fewer recruits targeting it than Carnegie Mellon or Emory, making it easier to get recruited there. He asks interested players to comment "Division III" to signal interest.

Hi, Trinity coach. I asked every single person here on Team 7, 8, 9, 10 which school they want to talk to, and none of them put you on their list, which is a huge mistake. I know that, and I'm going to teach them the same. So all of you guys, for Trinity's sake, if you have above a 3.8, Trinity are in the NESCAC Conference, which is probably the best conference in all of Division III. They are on par with even high-level DIIIs and even some Division IIs in terms of academics, past that. And soccer-wise, very good. So for those of here who also put Carnegie Mellon or U of H or Emory, you've got to consider Trinity. And because less of you are considering it, you're more likely to get recruited. So Trinity, I'm on your side. If you want to go from Division III to potentially play pro soccer, I want you to comment the word Division III because there's a bunch of really good Division III schools that could increase your chances of playing at the highest level.
