When emailing college soccer recruiters, keep updates on the same topic in one thread but start fresh for new subjects like showcases. Use a Gmail with your name in it, and put your name at the end of the subject line so recruiters can find you when they search.

When you are emailing, do you want to email like with the same thread or is it starting a new thread every time? Good question. So in the model that I have, I do same thread unless it's something new. So let's say it's updates and it's been about the same subject, then do the same thread. Otherwise, if it's about like a showcase or an ID Camp, you want the subject line to change. So then you have to start a new thread. So then you would say in the very beginning, ID Camp invitation or ID Camp attendance, what we use. I will be there and make that a new one. The good news is it doesn't matter because what they're going to do is they're going to search your name and then it doesn't matter what thread you were on, it will pop. So make sure though, either the Gmail name itself is your name, so allison.2028goalkeeper@gmail.com, or what I do is I tell my kids at the end of the subject line have your name, not at the beginning. Your name is useless, it doesn't tell me if you're good or bad, but at the end of the email it's important because they'll be like, oh, Sarah Jennifer, let me look her up. Oh, then they see all the emails. Okay, perfect. Thank you.
