If— how many of you went to Fest? Raise your hand. Okay, so like you said 15 emails and you went to Fest, right? That's crazy. You needed to have sent way more as a sophomore, which you will do next time. Fest is one of the biggest tournaments, and if you're not going to Fest, you can still get recruited. But if you are going to Fest and you don't send a minimum of 75 emails, you're wasting your time unless you're the best one there, which case you're the diamond in the rough and you're asking way many too many college soccer gods to be in your favor. That makes sense? Okay, having said that, you didn't get to go to FEST. That's okay. What school here at the camp would you like to speak to? Uh, Northwestern. Northwestern. Excellent. Now, have you looked at their roster? Yes. Okay, how many of those— well, there was no MLS Next 2, but how many of their players are from MLS Next or ECNL, statistically-ish? Um, you can say most or little. Most, right? Right. Now, to be the exception, which I was the exception, right? I played JV soccer. You can still totally go to that school, especially if they like you. How many other Division III schools have you spoken to? Um, high academic? Uh, none. Okay, so that's okay. Go ahead. Um, I kind of looked at academics first and then based it off of that. And then— good. Do you think there are no high academic DIIIs? Um, no, there are definitely. Okay, so, and now again, if he says to himself, it's either Northwestern or I'm gonna go to a different school and not play soccer, then that's awesome. Go do that. You don't have to play soccer. But if you want to play soccer and the Northwestern coach here says to you, how's the recruiting process going? And you say something other than I've been recruited by a bunch of other D3 schools, it is a red flag. Why would you not be recruited by other smaller schools? So after the camp today, I've not seen you play yet, email Caltech, their top, Occidental, Bowdoin, and you can express to them that you wouldn't say they're not your top choice, but to not email them and you're saying academics come first, what's your GPA? Uh, 3.9. Amazing. That you deserve that, and I don't want you to go play soccer at a school that doesn't fit your academic standards. However, if you choose to play soccer, you cannot only aim for Division I playing MLS Next 2. That's not fair to the, to the system. Now, if you get a D1 offer, be as picky as you want. If Northwestern make you an offer, then you can tell Zev Taublieb, screw you, I did it, and I'll be happy to say that. Deal? Deal. Okay, awesome. Comment the word quiz so we can ask you a series of questions to find a little bit more about your situation to see which camp you should be going to. That camp you just saw is one of the best ones there is. They're gonna have it again in April, and you should go.
