In this short YouTube segment, the speaker addresses a mixed group of high‑school soccer players (freshmen, sophomores, juniors) and introduces the “big fish, small pond” idea, highlighting that younger players may stand out more. He surveys the audience about prior outreach to college coaches—emailing and Zoom calls—and notes that few coaches actually respond. The speaker then offers to help individual students connect with specific schools, taking notes on their desired colleges. He also promises to share a curated list of recommended soccer camps for those who comment “camp,” and proposes an interactive “quiz” (triggered by commenting “quiz”) to assess each player’s profile and guide them toward the right college‑soccer pathway and camps.

How many of you are sophomores? Okay, how many of you are juniors? Okay, it's about half and half. How many of you are below that? 8th, 9th? Legend. Anything else? Okay, awesome. So there's a concept called big fish, small pond. So you're in what grade? You're a freshman. So automatically he gets kind of stand— stood out because he's younger. So props to you, good job. For those of you who are sophomores and juniors, which is the typical age for champs and whatnot, Not that you don't stand out, you still have the opportunity to, but you are a sophomore and a junior like everybody else. Which then brings us back to what's the next stage to stand out? I'm going to do another show of hands. How many of you emailed a coach before coming to the camp? Legendary. How many of you were on the Zoom call before the camp? Also legends. Now, having said that, how many of those coaches responded to you? Keep your hands high. Not as many, clearly. Um, if you don't mind, you don't have to say who. Was it genuine? What did they say? They say come say hi. Come say hi. Have you done it yet? Yeah. Who? Which coach? Um, Pitzer. Kamau Pitzer, legend. Okay, what I'm gonna do today, I'm gonna try and get around to everybody. I'm gonna ask you who is the school you wanna talk to today. My brother's gonna make a note of it and I'm gonna try and connect you if I can. I may not be able to, but I'll try. If you wanna know which camps you should go to, comment the word camp and I'll send you a list of camps that I recommend. If you comment the word quiz, then I'll ask you a series of questions about you to see if we can help you play college soccer and go to the right camp.
