If you are in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade, which prep school should you consider if you want to play college soccer? I'm the College Soccer Guy. This is the Youth College Soccer Guy page, and I'm here to help you play college soccer. Visit the College Soccer Guy page if you are in 8th, 9th grade, but if you're below that, this is for you. So these are the best prep schools that are around. You have Barca Academy, Blackrock, which there's a couple different regions for this—Northwood, Case West, Case, IMG, Saddleck, St. Mary's. There are also a few other prep schools on the East Coast that we can talk about. For that, I would need to know a little bit more about you and your region because those you do need to get in touch with in 7th grade so that way you can apply and take the right classes in middle school so you can frankly go to those types of prep schools. You've probably heard of IMG before. IMG is one of the best when it comes to athletes. There's an argument that if you go to IMG, you're guaranteed being able to play college soccer. We've worked with probably 20 to 30 IMG athletes. So they still want help outside of IMG. One of the students committed as a sophomore recently and is arguably the youngest ever to commit to Duke. We have another player that just committed to NYU from IMG. We have another player from Hamilton. So even going to Bars Academy, IMG BlackRock, they still tend to want my outside help just because I'm very aggressive in my nature, which is why I'm talking to you when you are in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade. What I recommend doing is sending in— you can just go to their tryouts for Bars Academy, for example, which if you're open for that, go for that. I always recommend, just like you'll do at the college level, sending video beforehand with interest. And we can help you with the template, we can help you make your video, and we can help you send it out. We don't need longer than a minute's worth of video, but they do want video. They want it horizontal, not vertical, and they want a little bit of zoomed out and a little bit of zoomed in. Then you would write an email. It would look something like, "Dear Coach So-and-So, my name is Such-and-Such. I'm this age group. I'm planning to come to your tryout on date X. I look forward to shaking your hand in person." I'm telling you now, not a lot of people are doing it, but it would go a long way. If you want more help playing college soccer and you're in 5th, 6th, 7th grade, we have a specific program for you guys. Uh, you can DM me on Instagram or DM me on TikTok, and I'll talk to you soon.
