How we operate + Cost Real 3 0

In this 30‑minute YouTube presentation, Zev Taublieb walks parents and student‑athletes through his end‑to‑end college‑soccer recruiting service. He begins by asking viewers to watch the video with a parent present and to complete a diagnostic quiz that gauges their understanding, personality, and recruiting needs. He shares his personal story – a JV high‑school player who earned a full‑ride Division I scholarship and played professionally – and uses multiple parent and athlete testimonials to illustrate the importance of starting the recruiting process early (often in middle school). He explains the core components of his system: (1) creating polished highlight videos with zoom‑ins, self‑interviews, and “Every‑Touch” clips; (2) a proprietary email outreach tool that sends personalized messages from the athlete’s own email address, tracks coach responses, and logs touch‑points; (3) selecting and auditing ID camps to maximize exposure; (4) managing a shared Google Drive that records meetings, to‑do lists, and progress. He discusses scholarship dynamics, emphasizing that most aid comes from academics rather than athletics, and provides examples of $60‑$300 k award packages. He then outlines three pricing tiers – Done‑For‑You (service sends emails on the athlete’s behalf), Done‑With‑You (athlete drafts emails, Zev’s team reviews), and DIY (access to the tool and video editing tutorials only) – along with a 3‑month “genuine recruitment” guarantee and payment‑plan options. Throughout, he contrasts his approach with competitors like NCSA, positioning his personal‑email strategy and hands‑on coaching as superior. The video concludes with a call to action to schedule a free video review, take the quiz, and consider a custom plan.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video. I just want to preface a couple things. If you fast forward this video, you can click on the bottom right-hand corner and fast forward this video so it goes by a lot faster. Number 2, please make sure mom and dad are watching this video and/or the athlete is with you watching this video because it explains kind of everything I do and the steps we're going to take. You will have received an email from me that looks like this. It will say to you, please watch this video, which is what you're doing now, and it will say take this quiz. The quiz is really helpful because it's going to tell me how much of the video you understand and watch, so that way I know that you've got everything you needed to understand. It's also going to ask you a couple questions about your personality so that way I can get to know you a little bit better, and it's going to ask you some questions about, you know, what do you need the most help with. So how well do you know this, a personality quiz to get to know you a little bit better, and what is exactly you want help with. So I really appreciate that you watch this video and take this quiz so so I can help you as soon as I can. And then in the same email, you'll see an apology from me. We had a technical issue, so if you get a couple emails too many times, I'm really sorry, I'm fixing that. And then some bonus content. Me versus, you know, NCSA, how do we guarantee scholarship, here are some references that we want you to call so you can learn about us before you come. We basically will ask for an answer at the end of the call if you'd like to work with us. We don't expect an answer, but I will ask for one, and part of the reason for that is I'm just going to show you my schedule this coming week, just as an example. This is like my schedule each week. All these people want to call, and this is next Friday. I'm taking off these days. So like you can see here, I'm like, I have so many calls fully booked. So if you, if you have the opportunity to book a call with us, it means I'm interested in working with you, and that's exciting. And so typically we need an answer kind of in the near future. So that's why I'm trying to give you all the information you need before the call, just so you can make the best decision. Now, having said that, if you're not ready to make call, so be it. This is a free call. I want to help you and give advice. I'm going to review your video. I'm going to give you a diagnosis and tell you what level you can play. So at the very least, I'm excited to have the call with you, and let's get into what it looks like to work with me. So the first thing is I'm going to pretend like you don't know who I am. If I haven't already said so, in the bottom right-hand corner you can fast forward this to make me talk faster, which I encourage you to do. Is if you don't know me, this is my website. It talks about all the students I've helped. This is a Division 1 college coach who recommends me. College coaches recommend me. Here's another college coach talking about how they recommend me. So these are all my references, and we have many others, but these are just the ones I put on my website. This is my story. I was a JV soccer player never made my high school varsity team, and I got a full-ride scholarship to play Division I, and then I played pro soccer. And now I help other students, of course, play college soccer. Having said that, the goals I have for you on the call are to interview you. You're going to interview me, of course. I'm going to see if I can make you quit soccer so we don't have to do any of this stuff and you can just chill, and I'll save you a lot of time and money that way. And this is an example of somebody texting me, my kid didn't just quit you, he quit soccer. This process is not easy, and I'm not going to go easy on you. I know what it takes to get recruited. I believe I do, and I want you to have that chance, but it is a lot of work. By the end of this video, I would like to have answered all your questions, but of course you'll have some more for me, which I look forward to answering for you. One of the biggest questions I get is when should you start this process? So I just want to show you some examples outside of my opinion that helped me form my own opinion. So this is a little bit of a sarcastic video. This mother says, my kid is not emailing coaches until 11th grade because that's when D1 coaches can respond. And then she'll give a sarcastic laugh here. You'll see it really quickly. Oh boy. So it's a meme, of course, but she basically has 3 kids that all played Division I basketball, in her case, got full-ride scholarships, and she's explaining, hey, like, do not wait until 11th grade just because that's when they can respond. You want to message them before. Here's another family.
Learned and read, it's the sooner you start, the better it is.
That's pretty much how it runs. You know what I mean? You don't want to be late to the game.
Yeah. So I went to UM and most of the student athletes, the recruitment process was very different back then, right, from now. And everything that I'm hearing from, you know, friends of mine that have kids in different sports, football, basketball, baseball recruitment, the earlier the better. Everyone's telling Melissa, you got to get on the ball with Kaylee. Like, she has talent. You know, try to get her, like, seen earlier. So she's already played for—
And that's from a mom's perspective. This girl committed to Notre Dame, and she'll explain when she got started. Process like for you. When did you start?
I played up a year for a while. I don't think I was necessarily like late to the recruiting process, but like, I mean, in hindsight it's kind of crazy to think about because I committed when I was going into my junior year of high school, whereas like my process started like a year or two before that whole—
so before she was going into junior year, like as she was a sophomore going into junior year, so that sophomore summer she committed to Notre Dame. This is one of my students that kind of made me famous within this industry And we were having him go to camps in 7th grade to Duke, and he was the earliest ever commit to Duke. And he explains why. With the constant emailing, the constant, like, keeping the coaches up to date, emailing all the schools, just— and now I'm going to my dream school.
I'm just—
I owe a lot to you. Thank you, Mr. Ethan. And for the sake of what I like is being very specific, one of the things that I want to be clear on is you are going to ID camps at Duke, 7th grade. Yeah. And we went to many ID camps. And that was in great part thanks to your parents. And the parents were, of course, very supportive. And then this is a family I was saying to the parents, you'll see. Ask your father the kind of same question, although I know you booked a call with me. So of course, you have an insight. But, you know, he's only 13. You know, why do you think he should start this process now?
So education is really important for our family. My side and Margaret's side, and it's, it's a huge part of our, like, value system as a family. And we also want to support his passion for soccer, and we want to make sure that he's able to do both and really want to do it. Yeah, and so I think the earlier we start, the better chance that we have to, to A, find the ones that aren't the right fit and find the ones that are the right fit and focus on those.
And the last thing is, this is a student— I received a few calls to the national team, so they were very good, of course. And then they committed to Denver freshman year. This is a horror story that I'm just going to end with in terms of this subject. And I'll let it go. But, you know, you don't have the results, quote unquote, you want. Why do you think that is?
Um, either because I started super late— not super late, but I started late in the process, 100%. I know that there are kids who are a freshman or sophomore going to these ID camps.
I started this year, um, like this year as a junior, so it's not too late. But listen to what he says.
A couple, a couple months ago, but even then, even starting a couple months ago, I have drawn a lot of attention, which I've seen, um, but it's just that all these coaches have already an idea of the player that they want.
And so he's saying, well, you know what, I'm really good. And he is really good. This kid plays for the national team. And he's like, well, I'm showing— I'm getting genuine interest, but every single coach is telling me that they already like somebody else. It is not about being the best one, it's about being the first one. And as you can see, this is where— this is an extreme example, so you can't hear, but she says at 11 she committed to UNC. At 11, I took a full scholarship to the University of North Carolina. And at the time— and she goes on to talk about going pro. But this concept of when to start, I can't help myself now from how this landscape has changed. I'm in 7th grade, ECNL player. D3 coaches are already responding to my showcase emails. Should I start emailing D1s, D2s? And we're advising them that yes, you should. Um, my athlete had 4 offers before her sophomore year from Division II and NAIA schools. She reclassified. She has a 4.8 and came, uh, academics came before soccer, which is good when choosing school she wanted. And, uh, she verbally committed to her top choice. This is a student I know you get these messages all the time from all your posts. We started following your advice 3 years ago and she ended up committing to an Ivy League school and starting her— following our advice 3 years ago before the summer of her freshman year. So like 7th, 6th grade. This is a male student. Hi Zev, received an email from a D1 coach telling Will he's attaching his cell phone and asking to text him and set up a phone call. Will doesn't want to get in trouble because he's in 8th grade. So because of this, I can't help myself anymore. This is another student of ours. They were 27, which at the time of receiving this, they were a sophomore. And the coach— he went to an ID camp and he's saying— and that we sent him to— and the coach emailed him, I'm reaching out to specifically tell you, Thomas, because I'd like you to know that you are a top 5 player. And my team and I were texting each other about this situation and we're like, that's illegal, but this is good news. So in terms of when you should start, one of the quiz questions that I ask is 'When does College Sark Guy think you should start?' And the answer on the quiz that you'll take is the word yesterday. You should have started yesterday. Now, a rightful concern is what if you are not, quote unquote, developed enough to start this process? Like, what if you are not good? And what I tend to tell families in terms of if I'm going to work with you is, you know, as a parent that your athlete is great and how dedicated they are because you live with them. So you get to see them grow up. You are not biased about the fact that you think your athlete is good. You just see your child for who they really are because you live with them. The coaches want to see the same thing. So the coaches are not expecting them to be the best player ever to get started in 7th, 8th grade. They want to see the development. They have their own kids. They want— they know kids get better over time. But if you don't give them the opportunity to see the growth, then you're missing out. The other thing is it takes a long time. 15 touchpoints. This is another answer on the quiz. 15 touchpoints to get the coach to remember you. And coaches change jobs often, and we want to make sure we know who they are. So, the common concern is, "What if my child looks unpolished at the age you're starting?" And what I tell people is, no coaches write anyone off until they're 17 or 18 years old. So, coaches expect growth, and they want to see the growth. And then there's a common misconception that coaches aren't allowed to talk to you until, you know, a certain age. That's not true. Division III and Division IIs can talk to you. Division I schools bend the rules. And relationships carry over. This is a blog you can read about from another family just about why it's so important to start as soon as you can. So then when it comes to me and me helping you, you know, I played, I played pro soccer and I had a great time, but I learned the hard way I did not make enough money to never work again. So I went back to school to get my master's, and this is why I always will tell my families academics come first over anything else. This is me playing JV soccer. I ended up playing college with a full ride, and then I played pro like I said, and this is how we help students. Number 1 is your video. We gotta make your video better. So here's a quick example of a student before us. So this is their video before working with us. You'll notice a circle. It circles a circle. Then he shoots in scores. Okay, not bad, whatever. Then the audio's kind of weird. It's a little too long. This is really— it's not terrible, but okay. I noticed the kid. Now I'm just gonna show you what it looks like, the same clips after we fix it, which is of course very important to me. Because we are very particular about the order and the zooming of the videos. So in terms of what I do with my students to give them a better chance is the following. So we zoom in a lot on many of the clips, not all of them. Look how much better this is. We can clearly see his goal, clearly see his technique. We have a beautiful self-interview with clear understanding of who he is. The coaches tend to love this, which I'll show you an example of. And in that second clip I showed you, look how good his dribbling will look here compared to the other clip. Wow, I can really see who is— wow, what a great move! Watch this Cruyff. Oh, excellent Cruyff turn. Look at this dribbling and a great pass. So it's— this makes the video stand out big time, to the point where coaches literally message us and say, do you work with this student? Only asking because their Every Touch video was amazing, their interview was amazing, and it made my life so much easier. And this is really important for us. And the coaches will message me, when are you going to send us your ballers? And this person's already done with their 26s and their 27s, and I explain We never directly connect you, but I have a few players that I'll have them reach out. The way I operate is I teach them how to do the process on their own. We never reach out on your behalf because we want to make sure they truly want your school, and I know you want to hear from them, not a middleman. And he says, perfect, that's how to go about it. This is from a school in the Big East in DePaul. So all that said is my job ultimately is to fix your video, and then we have this really cool email system I want to show you that enables us to get through this process really efficiently. So if I were to, for example, click select all, just as an example, I can write something genuine for each coach that I choose. Then what I do is I click write email. I go, dear hashtag coach, hashtag genuine, and the system will automatically— I'll insert my video and I'll click preview, and the system will write the coach's name. It will write something genuine with some prompts. Then when they click the video, the coaches don't have to click respond. They just can click one of these buttons, which it says send more video, we'd like more, And then the coaches, because of all that, the system will then automatically keep track of if it was genuine or if it was generic, or if you got invited to a camp, if it was a genuine invite or generic invite, and if they watched the video. And if they did watch the video, like this coach said, open the video, but they didn't select anything. So good. We know they watched it. This coach said, please send more video. This coach said, come for a visit. That's great information for us to know. And then the system, every time nobody responds to you, It will tell us nobody responded to this email, and we know how to follow up, and of course we'll guide you through that. Then the next piece is camps. We have to pick camps. We have to do an audit, right? You've started the process and we have club soccer. And then we have to narrow down your list and figure out which is the right schools for you, who do you like, and at the end of the day, we have to find a coach you love. This is the most important factor. I do not have 100% success record because if a student gets into Harvard and they can't play soccer, I want them to go to Harvard. But I also know that if you go to Harvard and you don't have a great experience academically, which would be a real shame since it's such a great school, if you had the opportunity to play soccer, you could have had maybe a great experience, still get a great life and education. Harvard is amazing. But you could also go to Harvard, play soccer there, and if you don't like the coach, even though it's Harvard, you could be miserable. So I had a great experience. I was there. My team had a bunch of Jamaicans, so I like learned a lot about the culture and everything. And then my coach was such a great guy. My brother played college soccer at a high level, did not play a single minute for 4 years, and got a bunch of money, and it sucked. And I— and he went to a high academic school, and that is not worth it if, since he wanted to really play soccer. Academics always come first, of course. Now there's other companies out there besides me, and I think you've heard of this one. This is NCSA. So I just want you to listen to this real quick. Oh, we, we, we did the NCSA.
CSA thing, and it's a bit of a mess.
And it's the worst of everything. Just call it how it is.
We understand what you charge, and I feel like it's a good investment. I can experience me connecting with NCSA, and everything you said about NCSA has been absolutely spot on. I feel like I paid that cost, um, and it's been terrible. Um, one of the biggest things that connected me was your list of which, uh, ID camps to go to. We met, uh, by the way, Coach Joey for the first time at one of those best camps, the Elite Volley Camp at the LA Area LMU. That was really good. Uh, we got a good review from, uh, I think WashU for came to us, you know, talk to these guys throughout both days, and they actually talked about NCSA and kind of said like, hey, we don't like to receive emails from those guys. We, we want to hear from you guys directly. So I think we kind of watch your video, it resonated.
That's really important. If I have to play that again, I will. The coaches do not want to hear from anyone but you guys. So the biggest difference between me— and this is on the quiz— my email system and anyone else's is it comes from your own personal email account. That is really, really important. This is not NCSA or College Soccer Guy. It's your personal email account. And that's so important because we get better responses from the coaches. Now, I mentioned to you, can I directly connect you to colleges? And the short answer is no. Now, we do get great messages from schools, and the coaches will ask me, like, hey, we're still looking for 3 to 4 players. We went to the Final Four this year. These are the players we need. So, while I can't directly connect you, this is my workaround. I'm going to try and do my best to find out which schools need your position, and then tell you what to say and act like your dating coach. Shamir just committed today. This is MIT. If there's still some players that you don't have for a home next year, we're still recruiting. So that's how I create your list of schools. Now scholarships are really important, and of course I charge a fee, which I'm going to talk about in a second here. But it's important you know where scholarships come from so that way you can make the best decisions for your family, whether you work with me or not.
They speak in the vast majority of your child's financial aid for college will not come from athletics, even if they are incredibly good at what they do. So, um, so don't be thinking it's like we're in the lottery because it's not.
So the scholarship money— there is scholarship money, and we have a really good record that we get our kids between $60,000 and $300,000. But the money's not always in athletics, it comes from academics. So this is a woman explaining that student athletes get 3 times more academic money than students who are not athletes. And that it's more money than athletic. 3 times more likely to get academic scholarships than they are athletic. 3 times. So here's the thing. And now that there's no more— and she's going to go on to explain a bit more details that there was a, there was a national letter of intent that's changed. What you need to know mainly is that you can get a lot of money academically as an athlete. And this is an example. Luke just got an offer from Williams, high academic D3. The offer is a roster spot with admission support. And he'll get $100,000 over 4 years. Admission support means he's going to get into the school because of soccer. Here's an example: Division III school, $300,000. Excellent. Division III school, $100,000. I want to show you a quick example here because this just really makes my day. So the girl that got this scholarship FaceTimed her mom and recorded it, and the reaction is just—
Let me turn up my volume.
Yay! I'm kind of like, I knew I was going to get it, but that was just like an extra, like they really wanted me. Lila, President Scholarship, that's amazing. That's a lot of money. Oh my gosh. So they got $100,000 to go to a high academic school, and of course that was really special. So when it comes to working with us, this is what it looks like. You're going to get a Called Soccer Guy coach plus myself. Now, this Called Soccer Guy coach is who you'll have all your meetings with and do all of your communication with. I am there to guide you through the process, but you won't communicate with me. You can still directly message me, of course, and I'm there to help you, but most of my messages will go through your coach to you, and your meetings will go through your coach. The reason is I'm very busy working for you, talking to MLS people. Luis Robles is the head guy. I'm going to ECNL showcases and events and talking to those head people. NCAA rules, going to conferences, making your videos, finding ID camps, talking to coaches about positions they need. So it's not that I don't love talking to you, I do, but I'll be busy working for you. The analogy I give you is like the dentist. I own the dentist center, the orthodontist center. You don't necessarily know or meet with the person that owns the facility that often, or they come in and check on you, but your dentist is the one that cleans your teeth. My coaches are kind of like that. They are qualified for the last 5 years. Anyone you've seen who's been committed from my channels is because of these coaches. Now all these coaches are former students of mine who went on to play college soccer and now they work for me. So you'll be able to message us 24/7. It's unlimited videos. We're going to do game review to make you a better soccer player. And then you're going to get access to this really cool Google Drive. Now the Google Drive is where we keep track of everything. This is a great example. So this is a student we worked with. They just committed this year to UC San Diego, which is amazing. Now she was playing ECNL RL and still played Division 1. So you can see, how did she do it? What were her steps? So here you go. This is every single meeting we had with her. This was every single to-do list, every step she took over the times we were with her, and we record every single meeting. So what we did that day, you're gonna get the same thing. And then we have a list of a to-do list and what did we do that day. This is her coach. I remember my first meeting with Maddie and we essentially went over, you know, what she was looking for in a school as well as the things she needs to get done. So basically she wanted to upload her highlight video. So it talks about the details we need to do. And then on top of that is the to-do list, so that way you know exactly what we need to do each and every time so we can fix the video or do whatever else we need. We made a ton of every-touch videos for her. Uh, we also made a lot of highlight videos for her, which we'll do for you guys too. Every-touch videos were really the, the situation here. And then our top academic schools, this was huge, keeping track of every single school so we knew exactly what we needed to do. So you'll get the Google Drive, and then when we're working together, if in the first 3 months you're not being genuinely recruited, we refund you. Genuinely recruited is not an offer. What I'm saying is I expect schools to be responding to us genuinely within the first 3 months. 98% of our students receive a minimum of $60,000 upwards of $300,000, and part of the reason for this is, of course, academics is a piece of this, but also, but also money means how much— we all like money, so who doesn't want money? So that's great, but also it tells us how much they really want us. So in that FaceTime video I showed you, The coach was telling this girl, I really want you, you're gonna be a starter for me. She was a goalkeeper. I want you to play, 'cause they gave her $100,000. So if a coach says to you, I really want you, but they don't get you into the school, or they're not willing to pay you the money, then that's good for us to know. It doesn't mean we don't go, but it tells us the truth. So money is a message, which is super helpful. Okay, now in terms of working with me, I know obviously you wanna know the price structure. So there's a couple different models we have when it comes to if we're gonna work together and, and how we operate. So this is my website of everyone else we've helped commit and all of our testimonials and case studies of what the meetings look like so you can get an idea, um, and et cetera. So let's say you've heard all this and you go, Zev, we just wanna talk to you. We don't wanna talk to anyone else. Um, you know, even in the call you're about to have, it may not be with me, it may be with somebody from my team. And you go, I only wanna talk to Zev. If you wanna talk to me, this is the price. I'll be completely honest with you. We've only had one person purchase this over the 10 years I've done this, and I do not believe this model's necessary. Part of the reason I have a team is so we can do more work, so I can be in two places at once, theoretically speaking. I can be working with you with our team, and of course working with you editing your videos and picking ID camps, etc. So the first model— we'll call this the first model— is we do it for you, which means we would log into your email account on your behalf, and we would go into the email system. This is your personal inbox of your own email, like this is my email from today. This was an email I got today from a potential client. And then, um, we will send the emails for you. So we'll select the schools for you, we'll write the emails, and we will press the send button on your behalf. Uh, so we will literally quote unquote do it for you. That is where that model comes into play. Now, if you decide, hey, look, we don't need you to do it. This is the price for this model. Uh, then that comes to the second model, which is where we do it together. This means you will theoretically write the emails. We will fix them because we don't want you to send them out without our permission. And then you will press the send button. And that's the only difference. And then the third model is if you love our tool so much and you go, Zev, like, just give us this cool tool. We can take care of it. We'll still edit your videos for you, but you get the tool. You can talk to this little robot, but there's no Zoom meetings and no guarantee. This model is a do-it-yourself process. We give you the video tutorials on how to do things. But you are on your own in terms of doing it. You can chat with us and we'll still fix your videos, but you basically don't have any meetings with us. And that's why the model is a little bit different for the do-it-yourself. Now, one clarification, we are an annual service. So what this means is we're with you from today's December 19th, from December 19th until December 19th of next year. Now, for many of you, you will be done with the recruiting process, and for most of you, you will not need our services. Now, there's also many of you who watch this who will not be done with the recruiting process in a year from now. What— how it works is we do not bill you the same thing year after year. We make a custom plan based on what you need after one year. I am an education service. My job is to give you the best chance to play college soccer. So if you do everything we tell you, 98% of our kids never use our services again. You have, you know, understand how we operate. You know the tools, you have the tools. You know how to follow up, you know how to get on a phone call, you know what to say on the phone calls, you know how to go on a visit, and you don't need our help anymore. But if you do need our help and, you know, you have a question, you know, we're not unavailable to you. We just don't want to charge you the same fee because you don't need that level of service. So we make a custom plan for you based on what you need. So I can't thank you enough for watching the entirety of this video, cuz I know it was long. I really hope you fast-forwarded it. If you have any questions, you can always email me and ask me. I just want to preface If you saw this stuff and you go, this is out of my budget and we don't even want to have a conversation, I'm not— I like to make custom plans. You know, one of the things I'm sorry I meant to mention is we have payment plans. Um, how we— what we tend to do is we split the payments up into 3 payments: first month, second month, third month. And the reason we do that is because if you don't get any responses, then we refund you after 3 months, um, if we don't have any responses. So we refund you. So you can always start at this model and then, and then go to this model Or even let's say you pay us the first month, what would be in this case $2,000 or $1,999, and you go, Zev, this was super helpful, but we don't want to continue. You don't have to. Just pay us the first month. You don't get a refund because we didn't get a chance to work with you for 3 months. But, you know, we want to help you. We want to get your video fixed. We want to make sure that you are sorted. So having said that, let's say you watch all this and you go, oh, now I'm going to hang up the call. I don't even want to talk to Zev. What I would implore you is I'm going to review your video for free. And I'm going to tell you what level you can play, and I'm going to tell you what you need to do to get better and how to fix it. So I would say take advantage of the free call, and hopefully maybe I can make something custom for you and try. And if you took the quiz, you would have already gotten— there's a secret— is if you took the quiz, you would have already gotten access to my email system for free for 3 days as a trial. So what I'm trying to explain is I give you that for free. I will try and help you as much as I can, even if it turns out we can't work with you. Because I want to give you as many tips and tips as possible in order for you to play college soccer. And if we do decide to work together, I cannot wait to do so. And please, you know, if you have any questions, you can email me in the meantime, and I'll talk to you very soon.
