I'm 14 years old, I play ECRL/RL, and I'm a girl. Can I play Division I college soccer? The short answer is absolutely you can. Many college coaches have talked about they don't really care where they see you as long as they see you. Now we do know statistically speaking ECNL for girls is really the best place for you to play college soccer, but what I'm going to do right now is I'm going to show you one of the students that I'm working with and I'm going to tell you in detail what we're doing for them as a 14-year-old in order to play college soccer at the Division I level playing ECNL RL. Okay, so this family was lovely. Freshman girl, ECNL RL playing for Dallas Texans, which is one of the best teams in the group. She's playing ECNL RL, wants to play pretty much only at a top academic D3 or top 50 D1. Now you as her coach will help her see that that is a lofty goal. She knows that already. The dad played college soccer and doesn't think she's the level, which is healthy. But she has great aspirations and she's a freshman, so it's healthy to have that. The biggest thing is the dad will be really heavily involved because he played college soccer and thinks he knows everything from the call I just had. So that will be something you'll have to deal with, but you'll be good for it and we'll help you, of course. And then the other thing is, as a top academic, she should be going to Masters. She should be, not Future 500, but Masters. She should go to 60. And then they themselves are pretty proactive. They'll be sending her to camps. 'Now remember, you're technically with her just for a year, unless they pay us again. That doesn't really matter to you, but it is to say, we need to fix her videos. Her video's not quite done correctly. And we need to make a lot more video for her. And then we need to be proactive. Like, I wanna email the D3 schools, all the top academic lists, and then I want them to email every D1 school with the mass email and say, hey, just checking in. And then with her top 20 schools, I want her to send an email going, Hi, here I am. And then we want her— I'm gonna give you another— so she's gonna have her top academic D3 list, she's gonna have her own list, and then she's gonna have a D1 list that I'm gonna give you. And you can obviously add to her list too, that would be like lower tier D1 schools or mid-tier D1 schools that are frankly realistic for her. And she's going to email them too. And we want to spend as much time as we can making something genuine for like her top 20 D3s, her top 20 D1s, and then my top 20 D1 for her, so 60 genuine notes. And then we want her to continuously follow up with events, showcases, and at that point she can just follow up with her top D1 schools. She doesn't have to email every D1 school an update, but it goes, mass email goes to all the D1s, all the top academic D3s, and her school specifically. Then the follow-ups just go to her top D1s, 'cause she's a freshman. She just needs to continue that process. Then the goal is she gets a lot of interest from the D3s, so harp on that she focus on the D3s, because if we don't get her genuine interest, which she deserves to get, that'll be an issue. So when you get emails back, the coaches are going to leave their cell phones. Make sure she texts them. If we get one text from a D3 school saying, hey, I liked your video, then we've kept our part of the bargain and we can really help her. So make sure she does that. Thank you, great job.
