A sophomore with an ACL tear can still get recruited to D1 soccer. Four months post-surgery, create highlight reels, post recovery updates on Instagram and Twitter, message coaches directly, and send emails disclosing your injury timeline and interest in summer camps.
If you are a sophomore and you just tore your ACL, is it still possible to play Division I college soccer? The short answer is yes, you can still play Division I college soccer even if you've torn your ACL. Now it's a little bit complicated and there's some other steps you need to do. So I'm actually going to show you what we're doing with a student who just tore their ACL and how they're still going to use their ACL video to still play college soccer.
She's pretty good. She knows she's D3, amazing grades. She's a pretty good player. She knows D3 only. But she tore ACL and she's 4 months from, she just had surgery 4 months ago. So her videos need to be the following. She has to do videos, fix her main video, resend, then find old video. I should say combine, combine all her videos into one good one, fix it, then find old video, 2 to 3 of them, and we send that out as every touch video. Then, We need to make IG videos/Twitter videos of her recovery. Then we need to DM coaches on Instagram and Twitter. Her email's gonna look like this. Dear coach, I tore my ACL and, so the genuine part, you still do genuine. I tore my ACL and I'm 4 months 4 months out. I'm looking to be fully fit come June. And then the normal stuff, my name is, all that good stuff. And then she would say, my name is, I play for, all the normal stuff. And then she would say, I have attached da da da video from PT or every touch or normal. And then she'd go, I am May I ask permission? May I ask if you are looking for position for the class of dot dot dot? If so, I will— I look forward— I would love to make arrangements to come to your camp this summer. Thank you so much. Um, and that is what she'll say, and then the regular signature and all that stuff.
