My Journey in College Soccer 🌟
In this solo YouTube video, the speaker—known as ColdSoccer—shares a decade‑long personal and professional journey helping high‑school athletes navigate college soccer recruitment. He explains that his younger brother’s negative experience with “cold soccer” sparked his interest, and a master’s thesis he wrote at 21 criticizing the recruiting platform NCSA further positioned him as a knowledgeable critic. While playing professional soccer in Sweden, he posted a video explaining how to pursue college soccer, which went viral and dramatically expanded his audience. Over the past seven years he has been advising players part‑time alongside his pro career, eventually transitioning to a full‑time role about three to five years ago. Today, his sole focus is to assist kids in securing college soccer opportunities, balancing his limited pro training schedule with afternoon advising work.
