San Diego Coach Before June 15th Comment “quiz”

High school soccer players should email San Diego State coaches before June 15th of sophomore year with game details, jersey number, and highlights. Early contact gets you on coaches' radar for invites to camps and showcases. Monthly follow-ups build relationships that pay off when you play in summer tournaments.

cross it off, I go to the next one.
Yeah, and I want to add one of the things he mentioned, which please interrupt me if I'm wrong, is that he likes getting emails from kids before June 15th of your sophomore year. He cannot respond technically via email, but he likes seeing that you guys are interested, assuming it's genuine. Do not email San Diego State or vice versa if you're not emailing that school. But if it's genuine and the kids are good, you'd like to hear from them before June 15th. Is that fair?
Right, because like when June 15th hits tournaments are going on, right? When MLS showcases, ECNL, EA, all these are starting their summer tournaments and their showcases. And so we know going into the showcase, we know who the kid is. I think that's the big thing that I really enjoy in our school, likes that we're going into a showcase that a kid basically emailed us, let us know where the game is, let us know his jersey number, give us his highlights, and then we go from there. And we basically communicate with them.
Thank you, boss. Have a great day. Drive safe. Good to see you guys again. Good to see you guys.
So what does this mean for you? In terms of timing-wise, if you can start emailing schools the beginning of your sophomore year, that gives you 6 to 8 months before June 15th so they know who you are, so they're much more likely to come to your game or actually be seen. If you start way before that, the odds increase tremendously. But if you are a sophomore and you're at the beginning of your sophomore year, you have a huge advantage because you can email them once a month gently and then have the chance when you go to the camp, like that camp as a sophomore, hey, I emailed you, he can talk to you any which way he likes at the ID camp. There are no restrictions. So that's why you wanna email him before so when you actually go to the ID camp, you'll be like, oh, we know each other, like we've sent emails. Oh, by the way, like I'll follow up with you via email. He'll be like, great, follow up with me. And then he might, not that coach, but like in general, it's possible that a coach in the college world might say, "Hey, stay in touch," and they, they emphasize it, and that's their way of saying, like, "We really like you." So, having said that, it's really important that as you go through this process, you message these schools before June 15th. If you want more help, I want you to comment the word "quiz," and I'm gonna ask you a series of questions about your situation to see if you are ready to email the schools before June 15th.
