What does it look like to work with College Soccer Guy + Cost Real International?

In this 45‑minute sales presentation, Zev Taublieb (the "College Soccer Guy") explains his consulting service for international student‑athletes and their parents who want to play college soccer in the United States. He begins by stating the call’s purpose: to be transparent about costs and to scare away anyone who isn’t a good fit. He then outlines the unique challenges international players face – the need for early phone calls, the importance of ID camps, and the fact that coaches prefer personal emails and in‑person evaluation. Zev differentiates his approach from typical agencies (e.g., NCSA) by refusing to directly connect athletes to schools, by using a proprietary AI‑driven email system that sends personalized messages from the athlete’s own Gmail, and by providing extensive weekly coaching, video editing (10‑20 videos per year), and a detailed camp‑selection strategy. He shares case studies (students from Dubai, Canada, Australia, South Korea) to illustrate his workflow: creating highlight reels, building academic‑and‑athletic school lists, ranking realistic targets, and tracking coach responses. He explains his pricing tiers – a full‑service annual model ($9,500), a collaborative model with limited video edits, a month‑by‑month option, and a DIY package that only supplies the AI email tool. A three‑month “no‑recruitment” refund guarantee is highlighted. Zev also stresses the realistic budget for international students (minimum $20K/yr even with scholarships) and clarifies that most aid is academic rather than athletic. The presentation ends with a call to action, asking viewers to indicate their interest level and choose a service model.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for tuning in. I'm really excited to speak to you. Just as a brief reminder, if you click the button below, there's a fast forward button so you can make me talk a lot faster. And then I want to apologize. You've probably received kind of some aggressive notes saying if you don't show up, you'll be banned. And I'm really sorry for that aggressive nature, but no matter how old you are, your parents must be on this call. And we've had some people show up without their parents or not show up at all, which is not very nice to me. So with that in mind, I want to tell you what the purpose of today's call is. When we get on a call together, and the purpose of this video is to tell you the price of what it looks like to work with me, and for you to decide if you want to work with me. My job right now on this call is to scare you away. So if you watch this video and you go, that's too much, that's too expensive, or this guy's not really that good at his job, then great. Then I've saved your time and you money, and fantastic. On the flip side, if you guys decide you want to work with me, you'll at least know what you're getting into. So with that in mind, I want to go over how it looks like to work with me, including the cost. So at the very beginning of our call, I'm going to ask you, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being you want— you hate me and you think I'm the worst person ever, and 10 being you want to work with me. I'm going to ask you where you stand right now. So that's why it's important you watch this video so I get an idea. That way we can address, you know, are we on the same page? You will also ask me the same question, say, Zev, how badly do you want to work with me? And I will have watched your video and I will not be at a 10 quite yet, probably just because I don't know anything about you. As I get to know you, my goal is if I want to work with you, I'm at a 10 by the end of the call. Likewise, if you want to work with me, you're around the same thing. Then what I'm going to do is I want to try and do the following: am I able to see if we're the right fit? Can I make you quit, like I already talked about? And by the end of today, I want to answer all the questions that you might have. Now the biggest thing is I'm going to start with how many phone calls have you had and how many visits have you been on? Obviously, as an international, this is really important for you because you cannot come to camps here cold. You need to have been on calls with coaches before you come here. And many of you are like, well, we can't talk to coaches maybe because of your age, or maybe because you're like, we're from far, a different country. So just to be clear, you can speak to Division III schools starting at 2 years old. So they can talk to you whenever they want according to the rules. That said, here's an example of a student. This is an international student. In this case, they're from Dubai. And they're going, hey— like, this one's from Dubai. I'll show you another one from Canada. And they're talking to a coach in 7th grade about the recruiting process. Now, internationals, you guys have a couple dilemmas. One of your dilemmas is coaches love internationals because you might be a little bit older, you might be playing better soccer, more experience. On the flip side, coaches need to see you in person and they're gonna always pick who they can see in person more than they can see via video or anything else. And because you live far away, it is harder to see you in person. So that's constantly what we're combating with during this process. Now you might have an agency who's in your country going, hey, like if you pay us $3,000, We will find a school for you. If you want to work with an agency, I'll be the first to tell you, the idea that somebody can directly connect you to a school and do everything for you sounds really nice. Go work with the agency, don't work with me. On the flip side, if you feel like your agency doesn't really care about what school you actually go to, doesn't really care what state you end up in, and that you love the coach, and that you get the best education, then that's what I am for. I will never directly connect you to a school, ever. It is illegal for me to do so. People do it all the time in my industry, but I don't do that, because it could technically put puts you at risk of becoming ineligible. So having said that, my job here is to guide you through the process as if I'm taking you to Mount Everest, and I'm going to be your guide so we don't end up in an avalanche, so we don't end up in a hole, so we don't end up under snow, so when it gets cold I put you under a tent and I give you hot water, and I'm going to take you to the top. But we are doing it together. I'm not just climbing to the top and putting your flag up there for you. We have to do this together. And part of the reason for that is, in my model, the college coaches want to know you. They do not want to get an email from an agency. They don't want to get an email from anyone. They want to get an email from you. You are a student athlete. And so they want to make sure that you want to come to the school. One of the bigger issues I find with internationals is they hire the agency, the agency takes them to X place in maybe the middle of nowhere, and then the kid is miserable or transfers and the process is brutal. I don't want that to be the case for you. I want you to love this. And here I'm going to give you an example. The main reason, or one of the main reasons people work with me is because they understand that they want to come here for school, first and then soccer. If you would like to come here to play pro soccer and everything else, that's something we can certainly talk about, but you are a student athlete. So the next thing that I want to show you is, you know, have I even worked with international students? Obviously the majority of my students are American, but I played in Sweden. I can speak Swedish. I lived in England when I was 14 to 18, and then I lived in France because I was playing pro soccer, and then I lived in Italy for a tiny bit of time, and then because I was playing at the pro level, and of course I was thinking about how can I get kids to come to America and get education. And then I was in Sweden for about 4 and a half years, and I helped quite a few kids go from Sweden to America. So one of our more recent students, I just want to show you briefly, this is kind of what we do when we're working with internationals, just so you can get an idea. So this student here is in 8th grade, and they're from Australia. So one of the things we're going to do with you is we're going to make your highlight videos, we're We make a ton of videos for you. We're gonna create a top list of schools, that way we know exactly what schools you wanna go to. And then we're gonna do that for D1, D2, D3. This is a top academic student. They would like to study math. So in their case, we're also gonna create a list of schools based off of their major. And then we'll also create a D1 list. And when we create the D1 list, we kind of put it in certain order, like what is realistic, what is less realistic, and you know, what is it that we can achieve? 'Cause we're working on this together. Now, when we're doing this, what's important that I want you to understand is every time we meet, we take notes about what we're doing. So this is where I'm different than an agency, right? An agency, you play soccer in front of them or you send them video and they go, okay, we know some coaches, we'll call them for you. I'm not going to do that. The way we're going to work is every single week we're going to meet and I'm going to tell you what to do and I'm going to tell you what to say and I'm going to tell you how to say it and when to say it and how to say it. As well as we need to get a ton of phone calls before you go to camps because you are going to have to go to camps. That is non-negotiable. How do you go to those camps and which ones to pick? That is my job. So that kind of brings me to the diagnosis. So I'm gonna give you a diagnosis and kind of go over your video with you and go, what will a college coach think of you as well as what is your level? And I'm gonna give you my honest opinion. And that will bring me to this. I'm probably gonna have to fix your video. Now, one of the things that makes me unique to, let's say, the agencies is I told you I want you to email these schools on your own. But there's a lot of schools to email. And this is really what makes me very special. This is a proprietary AI system that I built that is custom only to me. You sign in with your own Gmail. That's very important because getting emails from you is what these coaches want. You're then going to select schools. I'll give you a list of schools. We'll press Select All. We'll click Write Email. I'm gonna go, Dear hashtag that hashtag coach's name hashtag genuine. And I can also put the school's name if I want to. And I can click Preview and it will automatically put the first coach's name. It will write something genuine and it'll send to every single coach in the country individually from your own email account. And that's the secret. Then on top of that, every time you receive an email, the system will automatically categorize that as— was it genuine? Was it generic? Do we need to sign up for a phone call? Did they text us? And then you're going to go to the bottom here and you're going to go, oh, which camps did they invite you to? And as an international student, one of the big things we're going to do all the time— I'm just going to show you an example is we're going to measure which camps we should go to. Now there's certain camps I know you should go to based off of my own opinion, but one of the ways we always have to keep track— there's a list of camps for one of our students— but one of the things we always have to do is we have to rank it. How much was their genuine interest on a scale of 1 to 10? The campus, the academics, the athletic facilities, the program, you know, how good are they? The coach's level of interest in us, the location, population, the cost. That's the other thing as an international, as you know, College will cost you more money. Now, part of my job is, of course, to give you scholarship, but you will need a budget of a minimum of $20K per year, even with the amazing scholarship I hope to get you, if you're going to play college in America. So if you're like, look, $20K is not in my budget per year, then honestly, even with a full ride, it will still cost that because full rides don't pay for room and board, they don't pay for food. So it's still pretty much that, plus you're going to, you know, you might get sick, have to go to a doctor, you have to anticipate That's basically what it costs if we get everything, you know, scholarship included and everything else that we want. Which is then to say, I want to pick your camps. I have to do an audit, right? You've already maybe started this process. Club soccer is something we have to talk about. How does that affect your ability to play in America? And we have to almost translate it. Youth might think the coaches know the level you're playing, but these coaches know international soccer from if you're playing for Chelsea's youth academy. But barring that, they don't really know. Because I played in all the different divisions at the pro level and I lived in all these countries, I know that the level where you are is probably really good, probably way better than here, but these college coaches are mostly American, and they do recruit from international. Like, if you look at the NCAA tournament, 33% of the players in the NCAA tournament, which is like the World Cup of college soccer, were American. The other 70% were internationals. Also, I think you've seen this, there's a player from Marshall who were in the NCAA final last year, He was playing college soccer last year and just debuted against Real Madrid in La Liga. Like, that's how good some of you internationals are. But it's also who you're competing with as an international, including the kids domestically. So I want to create a list of schools for you, figure out who do you like, as well as, you know, we have to find the right coach. And this is really what makes me different to your agent is I want you to meet the coach. I want you to be coached by the coach. I want you to enjoy them. I want you to be happy. And the reason I'm so adamant about this is this is me as a senior with all my teammates, and I was a captain, and it just— I had the best experience ever. He was from— he was from El Salvador, he was from Jamaica, he was from Nigeria, he was from Chicago, he was from Saudi Arabia. So like, that's, you know, how this worked. It was really great to have internationals on our team. Our starting lineup was probably 60% internationals. This is my brother who had a horrible experience and he wanted to quit And this is why I think it's really important that we just, we don't just start the process, but we do it. Now you might be saying like, is this the right time to start given your age? Hopefully you already know that. But if you don't feel that already, I want to kind of show you the urgency that you kind of, that you should have in your brain when it comes to starting this process. So before I play it, the student you're about to see is a former student of mine who now does a podcast with all the kids that we commit. And he's asking them, you know, when did you start the process? And I think this will give you good insight. When did your recruiting process start? You're like, hey, what schools am I interested in? Sophomore year. Okay. I would do ID camps, you know the grind. Hell yeah, ID camps, baby. So you have to go to ID camps. That is non-negotiable. He was drafted, this kid, to LAFC when he was in college because he got— he played Division II, but he had to start then. Now that's in his scenario. You're going to see here two more scenarios that are a little different. You know the grind, and I wasn't on the map because of the teams I played on. You know, nobody scouts UPSL for high— or for— so none of the coaches were scouting him because of the team he was on. That's gonna be the same for you, right? Because you're in a different country often. Now maybe you're the exception, you're like, no, we are seeing it called showcases, in which case we'll have another discussion when we talk for college players, right? And I would do well, I would do well at ID camps. What's the recruiting process like for you When did you start? I played up a year for a while. I don't think I was necessarily like late to the recruiting process, but like, I mean, in hindsight, it's kind of crazy to think about because I committed when I was going into my junior year of high school, whereas like my process started like a year or two before that whole time, like before I committed. So I mean, I was what, like 14, 15 years old, like starting to look for the college. So she was in 8th grade when she started this process and she went to Notre Dame. And then went on to go pro as well. Um, it was just crazy looking back on it. When did you start the recruiting process? Um, basically every time I went to a showcase, um, I emailed the coach like about 100 times. I committed going into my junior year. Not late for girls, or is that really— I think— I mean, at the time I think it was, it was later. So for now, you understand, look, she was done by 16, basically, with the recruiting process. And now for boys and girls, it's pretty much the same. It's really early if you want to play college soccer. So with that in mind, I want to ask you, did I scare you away? And we don't have to keep talking, and you can go about your merry way, and things get a little bit easier. Now, there are other agencies out there which you guys have maybe heard of, and I think it's important for you guys to see how I stack up against other agencies. So this is basically what other agencies are like. Yes. So right now we, we, we did the NCSA thing and it's a bit of a mess and it's a waste of everything. Yeah. Let's just call it how it is. Listen, we, we understand what you charge and I feel like it's a good investment. Lack of experience. We connected with NCSA and everything you've said about NCSA has been absolutely spot on. We've, I feel like I've ate that cost. Um, and it's been terrible. One of the biggest things that connected me was your list of which ID camps to go to. We met BioLine Coach Joey for the first time at one of those mass camps, the Elite College ID Camp up in the LA area, LMU and all those guys there. Yeah, Elite one's a good one. It was really good. He had a good review from, I think, WashU from St. Louis. Just, you know, talk to these guys throughout both days and they actually talked about NCSA and kind of said like, hey, we don't like to receive emails from those guys. We We want to hear from you guys directly. So I think we, we kind of, we watched your video, it resonated. It said the same thing we heard from them directly. I give a discount. So there you can see it's about being spoken to directly. That is the big deal here. Whether you work with an agency or not, they need to email with you. And that's kind of the big thing. Now, what makes me different than agencies? Okay, this is NCSA, but it's really the same across the board. The big thing is I will edit all your videos. I will do unlimited Zoom meetings. In fact, it's mandatory that you with my team every week. Most people will be like, hey, we'll talk to you now, we'll edit one video for you. If you're going to get recruited as an international, you're going to need about 10 to 20 videos per year. And to give you an example, this is a student. So the student I showed you from Australia, they are still working with us. This is a student that has since committed. They were from South Korea, but then lived in England. And we had— we would meet every single week. We met for a long time. They went to— they're at Pomona-Pitzer, top academic D3. And they had multiple offers. Now, one of the things I just want to show you, his Google Drive. So when we were working together, these are all the videos we made for him, and we made a lot of videos. And the main reason for that is when you're an international, they have to see you all the time. So we made tons of videos for him. We'll do the same thing for you because when we make these videos, it's important that the coaches constantly see you over and over again via video, uh, because they are not going to get to see you in person. As often as we would like. So we— anybody that says we're making one video, that's enough, that's insane. The email system is proprietary to me, so it only comes from your account. And then in 3 months from now, if you're not being genuinely recruited by a school you want to go to, I refund you. Once you sign a contract with an agency, you're usually stuck and you can't get out of it. They go, we're going to help you till you're committed. I don't work that way. If it's not working, I refund you. And then you cannot depend on anybody to tell you, hey, their coaches will come to you. You must go to them. And agencies that you might be working with, I'll just pick an agency right now, if you go to like NCSA's account, for example, these are the types of schools they can send you to. They're sending you to Wilmington, Wittenberg, these are called NCCAA schools, so not NCAA, but NCCAA, which are small Christian schools that, frankly, if you can kick a soccer ball and you're willing to pay the money, they say yes. You can be on the team. And that's the fear for international kids when you work with agencies, is these coaches, including myself, know, you know what, if we send them to a small NAIA school or her, they're gonna say yes. And you get some good money because these schools have private budgets for international kids. And then they go, oh, we did our job, you found a college. But that's not how I operate. I do not want you to go to Gloucester if you've never heard of it. I don't want you to go to Iowa, Avila. These are very small schools. That the agencies have connections with. I want you to go to school that you love, and if it means we have to do more work, then so be it, because that's how I operate. So in saying that, I know at this point you guys are thinking like, what does it look like to work with me and what are the costs? So let's go over that real quick. The first thing is you're going to get a coach plus me, so your Zoom meetings will not be with me, they'll be with your coach. The reason for that is, as an international, I'd love to meet with you every week, but I have to do a lot of work for you. I used to do this on my own and I found that I couldn't really get what my students needed. With Meaning, I have to look up how the NCAA rules affect you. For internationals, there's roster cuts for Division I schools. Some schools do have a limit on how many international kids they can take. The prices of the schools are much more expensive. The admissions process for you is very different. So I'm working for you over here and I have to edit all your videos. But your coach, and you're gonna work with our expert coach who only works with international kids, is gonna be the one working with you so that way You know all the kids we've ever had go through international has gone through this coach. Now, I don't work with that many students overall, so we only have one coach for internationals, and I only work with about 3 to 4 internationals per year because you guys are a little bit more work for us, which is fine, but it is more work. We want to go through game video review, we want to edit all your videos. You can message us all the time. It will be mandatory you meet with us every week pretty much. If you're not being recruited in 3 months, we refund you, and 98% of our students have received a minimum of 60 upwards of $300,000. Now most people are like, money's in Division I, money's in Division II. The money is in Division III and NAIA. The reason is they have the budgets for internationals and they give you a lot of aid as an athlete but through academics. So my scholarship, which was a full ride, was half athletic and half academic, but because the coach went to the admissions and said, I really want the kid, they gave me more academic money. And that's where the money is. You're not going to get scholarship athletically. You'll get $2,000 to $10,000 even with my services. The real money is if you have good grades and you're a good soccer player, which is then to say, let's talk about the price. So we have a couple different options, and when I speak to you, I want to talk to you about it. So I want to show you with this student, this is what happens when you fix a video properly, because this is really a game changer. When did we We met our first, our first, first call, like when we were deciding to meet together last Friday. No, Wednesday. Wednesday, right? Last Wednesday was when we had a discussion about meeting. Then we started working that week, or pretty close to it. That was like March 1st. We met again on March 5th, fixed the video within a week, resent the email, and we went from— we had offers but not from the schools we wanted. Is that fair to say? Right? That's right. And then within a week, we had your dream school. Yeah. It's pretty amazing. Great. Listen, I'll tell you, I give you credit. The video, when we watched the video, I was like, wow, it's a lot of the same footage, but it looks completely different. So fantastic job. Thank you so much. Thank you for putting that together. That really looked great. Yeah, that's my job. So the video is really important. This is a student that committed to Duke. The main deal here is he started really early in 7th grade, and because you're an international, we'll have to start similarly as soon as bloody possible. These are some other college coaches and students. You can— I have their phone numbers. I can have you introduced to them, and you need to speak to some of our international students, of course, so we'll have you do that. So here's the first model. The first model is we do everything for you. Meaning we write all the emails, we press send, we send the video, we tell you what camps to go to, and you don't really lift a finger. This is really built for internationals. That's what this is for. When I speak to my American students, I tell them this is built for internationals. We have a student in Dubai, we have a student in El Salvador, we have a student in Hong Kong. Those students are under this model where we do everything for you. We click send, we speak to the coaches, but it's through your account, so they don't know it's us. They think it's you. and we just go back and forth. And then we meet with you because we have to tell you, you know, what camps to go to and what we're doing. But every time we meet, instead of going like with this student, I would say to the student, here's our meeting and you need to go text the school. You need to go talk to the school. In this scenario, I would go, this is what I'm going to do for you. I'm going to go text them. I'm going to go do this. I'm going to go do this. I'm going to do this. And we do it for you. So that's a huge model for those who are internationals. Having said that, if you We want to send the emails, we want to see them first and then go over them with you. That's what this model is for. So we're with you, everything we do is unlimited meetings, unlimited messages, but you click the send button. We still, of course, are— help you how to respond, tell you what to do, what to say, but you click send and you respond. Now, you don't respond or you don't click send without us. We still edit all your videos, but you're the one clicking the button send per se. And this is an annual service. So this is for 1 year. If after working with us after 1 year you go, hey Zev, like, we still have questions for you, or hey Zev, what the heck, why is it only 1 year? You know, I'm not going to be done with getting an offer at that point. That's what our call is for, to figure that out. But if you are going to be done in 1 year, let's say, then this is the model, and we're with you until you get committed. Say you're a junior, we're with you until you get committed. If on the other hand you're a sophomore or younger, We're with you for 1 year. After the 1 year, what happens is we create a custom plan for you, and it can be anywhere from $20 to $50 a month, or just one-time fee to answer your questions or help you. But for 95% of our students who are internationals, once they're in this model for a year, you don't need me anymore. You know the recruiting process. You know how to have the videos. You send the videos. You have the pages correct. You have the emails. And I kind of sound like your mother, and you're like, I don't want to hear from you. I know what to do. And that is the goal. This model is the exact same. It's an annual service. And then if after the year you need help, we create a custom plan, what's right for you. And then finally, if you go, hey Zev, like we really want your help, but it's more of like, like we really want your help in this model. Say you're like, Zev, we want this model, meaning we want unlimited meetings, we want to work with you, but you know, this is hard for our budget. This is if you work with us in this case, right over the course of a year, You want to meet with us every week. This is the best model. If you're like, Zev, we want everything that's in this model, but we don't know if we can commit to a year, then you can do it month by month. The problem with this model is at the end of a year, you would have paid $9,500. So then you would have been better off under this model if you know you want our help every week. So this model and this model is the same. This is just a lot more expensive. And then finally, if you just want to work with us on a monthly basis where you just get one meeting a month, we only do one video. We teach you how to do everything else. This is a much more do-it-yourself model, but we can still meet with you once a month and talk to you about whatever you might need help with. And then finally is if you really want to do it all on your own, we'll give you the AI email system and we'll give you an app where you can message coaches who are in training. They're not really built for internationals, to be honest. But we can still give you tips and you go do the process by yourself and you just email the schools and you can do it on your own. But you, we give you the tool. Honestly, it, we haven't met yet, but what I strongly typically will recommend is this model or this model only because in your case, this one is expensive if you're going to do this one anyways. And this one, we can only edit one video. Now, if you're a good editor, then you can do this one. But if you're like, we want help with all the videos, then this one is the best bang for your buck. And I would pick this one instead of this one, even because this model, we're collaborative, we get to work together and it's considerably cheaper, of course, than this one. Now I'm really excited to talk to you when we start, when we do our call, I'm going to ask you which model are you thinking about so I can answer your questions right away so we can make the most of those 15 minutes that we have together.
