Connor Beaton talks with a guest about leadership as technology reshapes work. The guest describes three mountains: first, mastering yourself; second, building family and community; third, serving others. Real leadership, the guest says, is measured by time spent helping humanity.

What's your perspective of what great leadership looks like now and is going to look like a couple of years from now as AI and robotics enter the scene? There's a lot of fear around people's jobs being taken. What would you say is a way to sort of hedge against that?
I love mountain analogies. I've been a hiker and love using mountains as a way to contextualize the opportunities that are available to us. I believe my first mountain was all about me. It was all me trying to figure out my shit, trying to get whatever, no judgment, just it was. Mountain number 2 is about us. How do I build a family? How do I build a business? How do we do something together? How do we build a community? And mountain number 3 is all about them. How do I spend the rest of my life helping people move through the things that I can help them navigate through? And that is what I'm going to spend the rest of my life doing. If we just spend more time helping humanity, I think that is the greatest leadership. I just don't think there's greater legacy for any man and any woman in the world. That's just, that's my view.
