Anxiety and OCD is less of a thought problem and more of a feeling problem. You see, we get thoughts that then lead to feelings and these uncomfortable feelings are what we're trying to push away and get rid of when we struggle with anxiety and ocd. So if you can just allow that feeling to be there without giving it so much meaning and really important, don't judge it. Don't make it mean anything about your future. It doesn't mean that you're going to have a panic attack or that you're going to be anxious next week or next year or that event is going to go really badly this week. It just means that you're having a feeling right now in this moment. Some proof for this is think about times where you're just not focusing on the thoughts or feelings. You're in the moment with your friends or family or watching tv. The things not bothering you that can happen with more control from you. So next time you get an uncomfortable feeling, I want you practice letting it be there.
