Amy Christensen and Brian Bowen walk through the Reset phase of their RIP framework with six questions to answer over a week: Who am I now? Who do I want to be? How do I see myself versus how others see me? Am I living from purpose? What dreams remain unfulfilled? They explain when you need a reset: no excitement, Monday dread, autopilot living.

Hello. Hello Amy.
Good morning, Brian. We are back. The dynamic duo is together again.
Thank God. Kind of lonely out there without you. Lonely.
I'm always so talking about myself. I've noticed like when I call myself I'm like really calm and quiet and just talking through things and when you and I are together it's like I.
Know you have this nice soft radio voice.
I don't know why.
Get our giggles on.
That's funny. Yeah, I don't think I laughed at all during my one on one like just me solo podcasts. It's a little sad. Lonely.
Hopefully everybody gets a little different dose of different things. So hopefully all you, all you awesome people right now that is really interested in your health and your adventures in life and anything that can benefit you that's listening to our podcast. Hopefully you're enjoying some of the the one offs too. So let us know what you what you about those.
Yeah, yeah, I'm curious being happy to see that.
You know we should actually have a an actual email to give people. So we always say. I realized the other day. We always say that. I'm like, yeah, we actually have never given an email. We're going to do that for you later because we got some homework for you guys today. Some homework because Amy and I were talking and we realized we're all going to die.
We have a growth opportunity. Homework sounds intimidating to a lot of people. It's not an assignment, it's not a requirement. You will not be graded. You're not going to get pass fail. There is no turn in dates. There's just zero stress around this. If you're that type of person. If you are in type A and you need a deadline and a requirement, yes, you have homework. It is due by next Sunday.
Well, I think I, I'm just, I'm going to put a little pressure because I think, because this, we have a really cool framework for you guys. I think it's cool that we're, that we're working on and I think to that if you're listening now, then that means you're curious and you're interested and I think this framework's really cool and we really want to encourage everybody to do the homework. And so I would put the expectation of do your homework, get it done. It's going to be so valuable to you.
It is. But I also think that like, okay, you know, my sister is, she's just. Is a totally different type than we are. Like, I'm somewhere in between. I feel like you're really good at being told, here's your deadline, here's the pressure. Make this happen. Get it done. I am like 50, 50. Sometimes you tell me that and I'm like, okay, I got this, let's go. And then sometimes I'm like, nope, not going to happen. Can't do it. I have like, that's. There's already too much on my world happening and don't tell me what to do. And my sister is almost 100% don't tell me what to do. I don't want to do homework. I don't want to deal with the shirt. And she literally said that. She was like, I listened to the podcast and you guys said there was going to be homework. And my entire body just went, oh.
Oh, yeah, I forgot. If I forgot about that, I forgot about that. Well, I do get that people out there, there are different people out there. But I will just say again, whether it is like when I get do a goscue postural alignment with people and I give exercise exercises that they have to do, the people who, the people who do those exercises have a lot more growth. And you could you see the changes in the results and that they're looking for and the ones that don't do it, you don't get the results that you're looking for and you don't get some of those big changes. And so whether it's weight loss, whether it's exercise, whether it's personal development stuff, whether it is whatever the Most successful people are doing the homework. And the biggest thing with all programs is the accountability piece, right? So there's a million weight loss programs out there, and it's literally the accountability of whoever you're working with, they'll hold you to it and how they hold you to it that really lets the program be super successful or not. And so that's why I am just saying, I really encourage it. And we're here for if we can be your accountability people.
We're here, we're you, but you also have to be your own accountability person. But I agree. It's like when I rephrased it, I was like, what if it was a project? And she's like, well, that's, that's a little easier. And I was like, well, what if it's just like an opportunity to grow and learn more about yourself? She's like, oh, I like that. So I, you know, I just always think it's interesting the different types of like learning processes and how to encourage everybody to get to that place of learning and growth. But 100%, there's way, there's plenty of evidence out there that shows you if you will do your homework, practice, review it, write it down, think about it outside of just hearing it, you're going to absorb it and learn from it so much quicker and it'll become much more inter integrated into your life. So do the things people come on.
And we have a clicking, we have a ticking, almost said clicking talk, ticking talk, ticking, ticking talk. I don't know what, that's hard to say, a ticking talk right now because we are going to die and we got to like, get stuff done. We have a short time on this planet and I mean the average lifespan I think is 78.8 years. And unfortunately with teenagers and stuff, it's getting shorter. We don't even need to go there. So. But my point is this. You know, Amy and I were talking and you know, I just turned 49 and you know, you have your, my parents are getting older. Amy's mom and dad are getting returned 80. And you just realize when you're pushed up against those timelines, how short life is. And so we have to, we have to be more concerned about the time that we have, you know, on this planet and what we're doing with that time and how we're, how we are living on a day to day basis. And so, you know, we want to talk about that today. We want to talk about death, we want to talk about what's, what's happening now and where we're going and work on this little. Work on this little thing together. Yep.
And I know it's all things good for you podcast, but I think thinking at least being realistic and, and making it not so scary and taboo to talk about death and dying is a good thing because it does remind you that we're here for a purpose. Every individual, I believe, was created and made for a specific reason and purpose for fulfillment. I don't think we're just here to be blobs and exist. Regardless of what your spiritual beliefs are or lack thereof, you are in existence and what you say, do and experience in this life matters. There is a start and an end to the time of your space on this earth. And I believe that, you know, if you're the first of. I highly doubt the person that's just like not interested in self development, growth, or curious about more things that one. They're probably not listening to this podcast. But we do kind of tend to sometimes just bounce along and just ride the wave of the river and not really occasionally jump off the raft and like get into the current. Right. Like really experience and think about that self, true self awareness and life awareness. And you and I are big on. On that process. We do it daily and monthly. And even with us, I think we have to train ourselves. It's our daily jam. But we still have to stop occasionally and do it from a different depth, you know, look at it from a different perspective, ask these questions and really take time to be soulfully reflective on it and dive into another aspect of self awareness. Right. That's not always easy.
No, there's so many layers. There's. Yeah, there's so many layers that I think that we don't explore on a regular basis because we are mechanically living so much. Right. We're just operating and we get into the program of operation whether it's good or bad, and we just stay there and we don't explore those different depths and layers. And so this framework is all about that. We have to talk about death so we can understand how we are also living. And the short time on the earth that we have, that's important. And we have this framework that is literally ripe. So rest in peace. Now, the R does not stand for that. The I does not stand for that, but the P does not stand for that. But they stand for something different. But the framework I think has some weight to it. Just even hear that and to think about resting in peace. And you know, Amy and I were talking in Chinese medicine, the kidney Meridian is this foundation or yuan to your source, to your source energy. And it's the foundation of yin and yang and all this different stuff. And the last two points on the kidney meridian are literally called gate of Destiny. And so that's death's door that's been basically, you know, moving on. And so, you know, it's cool to hear in today's world, like as people that are older and 102, 110, whatever interviewed, you always hear the big questions about not just what they contribute to their longevity, but how they lived in, in, in their life. And all of the ones, the people that are older live life with no regrets. They lived life with purpose and passion and all of these things. And, and when we're stuck in the level or the layer that we're at, sometimes we stop to really think about our purpose and how we're living and are we living purposefully? And you don't want to be on death bed and not be able to rest in peace because you have regrets. And whether it's, I wish I would have spent more time with my family. I wish I would have went after the goals I wanted to do in life. I wanted, whatever that is. So we want everybody to be able to lay at that final moment and to have rest in peace because they fulfilled their destiny on this planet. What do you think about that, Amy?

Wow. I think that is fantastic. And I agree, fantastic points. And I agree with all of them. How about that? Yes, I think, I think it gets hard. I mean, one, it changes frequently. Like sometimes you're trucking along and you're like, yeah, I'm doing really great and I'm fulfilling all my purpose and I'm right on track with everything. Stuff happens along the way and all of a sudden you're like, gosh, I'm going to regret this. Or you feel like you failed at something or missed an opportunity, which I don't believe in. I think the things that we can look at if you're still alive and you can regret something, you cannot regret that. It's a lesson that taught you to value or desire something. And then you're alive. So you can go and have that, you can go and pursue that you can do that is in a different way. I don't believe in missed opportunities. I believe in no longer. I no longer believe in missed opportunities. I just believe in awareness through things that were shown to us. That is something that is important to us in some form or fashion. It may not be the job, the place, the. The person, that specific experience, but there's something around all of that, that is something inside of you that you're desiring and that you should explore. So, again, it's why it's great to kind of look at these, the R and A, I and the P, on a regular basis and kind of check and see. Is there something that I'm feeling, quote, unquote, regret about? What do I need to extrapolate from that and re, you know, adjust my compass to have that back in my life again?
Yeah, I think some people don't even, well, even feel certain things. I mean, there's. Obviously we're talking. Everybody that's listening right now is at a different level. I think some people. And I've been here, I've had all these phases in my life. But you know, when you've. You're driving a car and all of a sudden you kind of snap to. In the last 10 miles, you don't remember.
Yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean? You're just like in that zone. You're like, wait a second, how did I safely drive? And I don't remember the last, you know, 10 miles. I feel like sometimes we're like that in life and all of a sudden it's like we wake. We kind of have a moment where we wake up out of that and it's 10 years later and you're like, what the hell have I been doing the last 10 years? You know, or people in relationships that are like, how am I still in the same relationship for 20 years that is not fulfilling. That is not this or the job. Or again, I think we're here to. To do more than just breathe oxygen and be dictated by and ruled by money and have to do X because of this. And we put our dreams aside because we have these responsibilities that we have to fulfill. So we feel safe that we have this job that I don't like, but it pays the bills and you just do that. And all of a Sudden you wake up and again and you're like, God, I need another career. And so there's all kinds of layers from the finance to relationships to careers to giving up your dreams because you get stuck in a situation or have situations arise that are unforeseen and you have to put those in the backseat. And you hear people say that often and then they come back to them when they're in the back seat. No.
Yeah, yeah. And we, and it's normal, right? Like there are some sacrifices and some things we just do on autopilot. And again, that's why you have people to wake you up a little bit and, and remind you that, oh, hey, maybe you know, that lack of sleep, the poor eating, the coping mechanisms that you developed with drinking or, you know, if you're snipping at everybody all the time, you're just in general just kind of irritated and frustrated. Those are usually those signs like maybe something's off, maybe you're not like tapping into a deeper message of awareness. That's your body and mind are trying to tell you.
Yep.
So those are all good signs to, if you're not preemptively working on it on a regular basis, doing a self awareness check in and life check in, then when you've, if you wake up one day and you're just like, man, this is, I'm kind of, this sucks right now. Life is sucking right now. Then maybe it's time to do a little bit of an analysis. And we have, we have some ideas about how to help with that.
Okay, I got two more to throw in there that I really like is the. So many people have Monday morning dread and don't even know it. So isn't it amazing like how some people can sleep so good on the weekend or you know, their sleep's like throughout the week, they have a hard time falling asleep and they get up in the middle of night. And I always will ask the question. I'm like, well, how'd you sleep this weekend? Like, oh, this weekend was great.
Yeah.
I'm like, okay, so what is it about Monday? You know what I mean? And so a lot of people have the Monday morning dread and through the week and we actually experience digestive problems and sleep and all this stuff. So that's another symptom. Yeah. And then if you're not excited about life, at least occasionally you're not in it when I. Yeah, at least if there's not that spark just every now and then. I mean, we all have moments. It doesn't have to Be, you know, Fourth of July fireworks shows every day. If you don't have an excited feeling and looking forward to something and you're pumped up just a little bit, it's time to do the R in the rip. And the R is Amy, what's our stand for Reset?

Reset.
I think we could do redo. No, it's reset.
Yeah, you can do redo.
Redo.
Yes, we can do something. But re. So reset's nice because it gives you permission, right? Because we all have that ability to reset. And it's awesome to know that. Okay, I'm done with this where I am right now. I'm gonna hit the reset button. There's an acupuncture treatment that I love doing with people, and it's literally a nerd. It's like a nervous system reset. It's a reboot. It's like the computer's, you know, all gunked up and it's not running right or you know, how your phone gets goofy and you just have to shut it back off and turn it back on know. So this is, this is that same kind of opportunity and it. And so we're giving you permission right now to take a moment in your life and we're going to give some, some opportunities here. Some other people call this homework that are going to help guide you into helping reset. But now is the time to hit the pause button in your world, hit the pause button in your life. Think about how much time we have left on this planet and how we want to spend here and just hit the reset button. We can just start fresh and we're going to take you to another. Help take you and guide you to some more layers that are going to make it amazing for you.
Yeah, I like it. I like it. One good. You know. Yeah, I agree. I have nothing else to add. I'm just excited. Oh, I do actually have something to add.
Yes.
Who am I kidding?
You got something. Share with me.
I, I just. The One little thing that popped up that's kind of a side note is the being exc. Excited about life. I do think we have to make a mental check. I believe that lifes are like that level is in thirds and. And we can't be excited about everything all the time. And I feel like a third of the time it's excitement and new and adventure and growth and, you know, bubbling over. And a third of the time it kind of sucks. And you're just. Things aren't going well and you're kind of having to push out of your comfort zone and you're going through a growth process. And I think a third of the time you're just kind of floating. I think, you know, it's okay to not. To just not have anything. Wow. Or constantly going. You're just. You're doing some. You're just working in the. In the actual growth process. And it's neither fail and struggle hard stuff. And it's neither the big wins and excitement and. You know why, Brian? You know why?
Why? Tell me, Amy. Tell me why, please.
Because it's my favorite word. That's my favorite dopamine.
Dopamine. I didn't want to say it because you needed to say it.
It's the balance. It's the balance of. Of the fluctuation. You cannot live in the high all the time or you will exhaust your dopamine feed. Anyway, so that's just my philosophy of how things work in life.
I love it. And those thirds. It's interesting. I. I don't disagree with you. I still kind of like an 80, 20, but, you know, whatever. Yeah, everybody's got their everybo. You know, a third. A third. A third is a good. Like if I just feel like I've. I know so many people who are, you know, only have an 8th or, you know, a 16th of like some of the joy. And, and they're. But they're overburdened and overwhelmed by all the external influences that they're allowing that buries their authentic self within them. And that means, you know, everybody. I mean, there's so much gloom. If we want to recognize gloom and doom, it's all right. It's. You're not going to get.
You don't have to work very hard.
You don't have to look. You don't have to look very hard. And so. And that attractor energy, right, that when you're. When you're watching or listening to sources that are feeding that, you know, on a regular basis, and then you attract those People and you have people in your life that share some of those same things and that's what you talk about all the time. And that buries your. Your authentic self. That buries. It's like throwing, throwing dirt on a campfire just to put the fire out and burying it, you know, under and smothering it. And so we're being smothered by these external influences on such a regular basis that, I mean, I hope that somebody at least feels the third, but I hope that they feel more than that. But there's some people who, who literally don't because of these. And so we have to be careful when we're hitting the reset button. Sometimes that reset button is going to have to. You're going to rem. Remove some things, you know, in your, in your world to stop. So you just don't go right back in, into the pattern of the things that are causing you to not live at that level. That is, is going to help you just enjoy your life and at the end of the day, rest in peace. You know, when you're on that deathbed and you know we're all going to be there. So how can, how can we, how can we be there and just be like, oh, my God, I had such my time. It's fine. My time is here. I've lived the best life ever. I've. I've loved my family, I've spent time, I've had adventures, I've contributed to the world. I, I did things I wanted. I did it my way. I did it.
Yeah, I mean, it's just, I think, yeah, it's. And again, you know, it's. You have to look at like some people choose. I think everybody chooses to. It's mindset, right. And we choose on how we want to view our life. And some people are very happy with a consistent process of life and that's what they're happy with and that works for them. But you were talking about like, I think you just get used to thinking in the negative, but it truly is, you see what you focus on all the time and whether that's law of attraction or, you know, the true energetic connection vibration or, you know, the brain connection of wire fire together, that that's just kind of the modality you're in all the time. And then, you know, birds together or, you know, birds that are of similar feather block together, whatever you just call it, you know, those people that you're comfortable with. You get your tribe because you're all kind of in the same mindset. Right. But all of that is if you can stop and go, am I happy? Right. And am I being. And you're talking about being your authentic self. What does that mean? What does that mean to somebody when you're saying what I don't. Some people don't understand. Like, I was listening to something, and they were talking about talking to somebody, and they said, being in alignment with yourself. And she. The guy that she met was talking to at a pot in a coffee shop said, what does that even mean? Like, there are people who don't even understand what being in alignment mean. Being authentic, what that means. Like, they don't stop long enough to go, what am I really feeling? First of all, like, they're not even thinking about what they're feeling. They're not even paying attention to how their body feels or their reactions to certain things. You know, you. To be authentic with yourself, you got to sit with yourself a little bit. Now you've got to ask yourself a couple of these. I don't want to jump into the questions without being prepared here, but I think we can lead right into our number one question for our, you know, gross opportunity for our homework assignments or your. Your growth opportunity. We have, like, six general questions to work over for a week or so, and you've kind of got to take a few minutes to answer a couple questions in there. Well, six questions, but you've got to take some time to reflect on some of these. Reflect on these. And there are six of them.
So I think write them down.
Convenient. Yes. We have, like, you have the next, you know, six to seven days to kind of take one each day and. And process it or however you want to do. You could look at all six every day and just expand on it for the next six or seven days. But take the next week and. And write these down. You're even welcome to push pause on the podcast and, you know, take a few minutes and jot some stuff down or think it through if you're driving, you know, in that part where you're not paying attention and everything is just on autopilot and you're staring off into the horizon in front of. Let your mind wander for a moment and be open to what. What does this feel like to me? What. What does come up for me when I think about these questions. But yeah, writing them down and thinking them through and expand on them. It's okay. If you write something down today and Wednesday, you come up with something else to add to it. Great. Keep working with it.
Yeah, I do want to say you said something before we start with the questions about that we all have. We, we all choose, right? We all choose what we think and what we believe and, and all that stuff. And so right now, as you're going through these questions, you actually do get to choose. I'm gonna, I'm gonna disagree a little bit with Amy Aspect that I think at some point, at some point you didn't choose. There are, there are thoughts that we have or there are things of power that you've given up or dreams or goals or whatever, because there's been information put in, like since we were children that, that again condition us. And we, again, now you're here, now we know that all of us have an opportunity right now. Like, we can change anything we want. There's no limits. There's no barriers right now with this reset. So R stands for reset. There's no bears. You do. It's your choice. You can make the choice right now. And it doesn't. There's no barriers in your mind. There's all the conditioning. You know, we've been conditioned. So all of that you can let go of.
And if you don't believe that, then contact us and we'll help you work through that.
Heck yeah. I mean, that's such a state of freedom. And again, Bob Marley emancipate yourself from mental slavery. I mean, so beautiful. And, and, and, and that is so true. And it is so liberating to know. First of all, it's liberating and I don't know, I'm here to, for the experience. I don't. There's so much out there. I don't know. There's so many things I want to become. There's so many things I want to do. Like, let's just mold. Let's just explore. Let's just find what feels connected to, to you. And you might already have some, some of, you already have some know around some of these areas. But I love these questions. So R is for reset. Amy, kick us off question number one.
Question number one. When you're ready to reset, who am I now? That's the first one, right? That. Building that awareness, like, who are you now? What do you, what do you show up as? And it's not just, I'm a mom, I'm a husband, I'm a sister, you know, or I'm a coach, or I'm an acupuncturist. Not you're doing, but like go deeper than that, right?
Yeah.
Who, who are you when you show up every day? Who are you, when you react to certain things, who are you when you're angry? Who are you? Yeah. Who are you in the struggle and who are you when things are going well? And how does that feel? You know, do you, do you like that person? Do you like that person? Does that person feel like your very best self? And some people hate that statement. I'm living my best life. I don't know why. I think they gotta, I think they should look into that. If it bothers you, it's probably needing a reset.
Yeah. If you, that's a, that's, that's a very loud indicator that you need a reset. If you, yeah. You're shaming other people's.
Yes. Allowing yourself to kind of look at who you are and what, what are you choosing to do? What do you put into your body, whether it's food or information? What do you, do you, do you respond? Do you react? Are you, are you growing and lifting other people up and inspiring people? Are you just really happy with your life? So that's question number one. Who am I now? Write it down. Opportunity to write.
Pause, pause, pause. Keep writing.
Who. I'm gonna write this down.
That's so good.
I, I now nuts. Okay.
All right.
And that leads us into question number two. Mr. Brad.
Yes, yes, yes. Question number two. So now that you've done question number one, and I hope you had some little yummy thoughts, question number two is, now that you know that who do I want to be? Right. Who do I want to be? And this is, again, we want to challenge you to peel back a layer and go a little bit deeper. So just like what Amy was saying, not just, you know, what you do for profession and write that down too. But, but see if you can, as you write that down, see if you can go a little bit deeper because, like, who do I want to be? So that could be that you want to start, you know, about that career change, but. Or, you know, you want to become something, you know that you haven't been, like an artist or whatever. But how do you, who do you want to be? How do you want to show up? How do you want to feel? What kind of energy do you want to feel and present to the world? And, you know, some of that too, is when you're talking about who do I want to be? You might have to think of letting go of some things, right? To be that, to be that. And that's great. And so what's holding you back from being that? So who do I want to be? So as you're writing that down. What's holding you back to start thinking about that? What's holding you back from being that person? So what does that person feel like? What does that person look like? How does this person show up? What's this person doing for themselves? What's this person doing to contribute in any way possible? What's this person doing that is exciting? What's this person doing in their family? Just who do you want to be?
Yeah, look at that. And. And this taps back to the visualization. You know, Podcast is like, look, look at how that represents in your life, but also get specific with it. And then, you know, when you think about who do I want to be? And you're seeing that and you're envisioning, like, all the ideas and their habits and the contributions and connections, relationships. What. How's your body feeling in that space? You know, what's the somatic reaction that's coming up for you when you're thinking about who you want to be? And it's. There's no right or wrong answer about that somatic. It's just information. Because sometimes you feel excitement, sometimes you feel anxiety and angst. That's just data that you can use for other things. But, yeah, I like that. So who am I now, number one? Number two, who do I want to be?
And I kind of. I kind of got excited when I was talking. I shouldn't have talked so much because I kind of bled into question number three a little bit. So apologize. But we're still gonna. We're still gonna ask it. So, Amy, what's question number three?
How do I see myself? But you know what I think this is. Okay, so question number three, how do I see myself? Is a little different than who do I want to be? Because how do I see myself is, you know.

Looking to get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away. And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease. And Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence. Chevrolet together. Let's drive.
Maybe that's more that internal identity of I'm the type of person who. I'm the type, you know, you. Maybe you're getting into more of Your. Your morals, your ethics, your deeper purpose. You know, I'm a person who cares about, you know, people having clean water all around the world. I'm the type of person that believe that cares about, you know, I see myself as someone who really values true health. I'm somebody who really values deep connection. And when I have deep connection and friendships, they really matter. And I'm the kind of person that I see myself showing up for. That it can show up. That can be similar to the who do I want to be? Maybe who I want to be. Brian, correct me if this. I'm not seeing it the way you're seeing it, but who do I want to be might be more existential. And how do I see myself? As maybe that. That internal identification.
Yeah, that a great thing. They could go both. But the other thing about how do I see myself too? Is also going to help you kind of call yourself out a little bit. Because how you see yourself, you might be are. You know, it's going to help you ask other questions. Because how I see myself will. I could say something, but then that might lead me into thinking about, am I actually living that life on how I see myself? Am I being a little bit of a hypocrite? Right. It can help call bullshit a little bit. And I think that the next question is a really good one that helps tie into that, too. So how you see yourself, I mean, our perception of ourself can be very off sometimes. If you were to go around and interview 20 people in your life. You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And that's okay because sometimes we have to take our blinders off. And so I think it's cool, like, how do you see yourself? And then you can stop and be like, okay, I just wrote all that down about how I see myself. How much of that's actually true? How much of that am I living, you know, am I living on a daily basis? How much of that is, you know, actually really what I want to be. Right. And I'm not actually that. So it's like, okay, I want to be that, but I'm not actually that. So I'm seeing myself that way, but I'm not actually living that way or living into that.
Yeah. Are you being. You're living in integrity with what you see as your authentic self. And that. That leads us to question number four is, how do others see me? I think I just jumped into two questions.
That's okay. I'm taking the next four.
We can share. Yeah. So how. How do others see me? And of course, you have to be like, hopefully you have some core people in your life that you can get really honest with yourself and, and defensiveness, you know, and if you've created an environment where you have people in your life that are afraid to tell you what they think of you, there is some evidence of your behavior. Yeah. So you should be able to have people in your life that can tell you you're good and maybe some of your negatives and maybe areas that they're seeing that you're struggling or not living to who you want to be. So check in with your close friends. I would not put this into a comparison space. It wouldn't be asking your Instagram connections or, you know, people who don't really who you might be doing that comparison itis with. Don't. Don't create that space. Who cares what they think? Go to the people who are actually in your life.
I think this is such a powerful question, and I think that people really need to. Everybody needs to be asking this to people because I think that it's going to help. It might feel really rough and it's hard to hear, hear, you know, constructive criticism, if you will, from some people about it or what they really see. But I gotta tell you, we're struggling with somebody, you know, very close to us in our lives right now, and blinders are full on. And I would be curious if they were right to write down how do I see myself? And if they were to ask certainly us how we see them. And I'm 99 sure it's not going to line up at all. And I think it's going to be a big shocker. But we are struggling in. In the relationship, and there's a kind of a deterioration, you know, going on, you know, in the relationship. And it's. What's going to happen is it's going to push us to have to tell them, and we're just going to have to be brutally honest. But it's so much nicer if the person's just like, hey, I'm trying to improve my life, and I'm just reaching out to some people who I love and that are in my life to see how you view me, how do you see me? And. And because I want to work on my relationships with people. I want to do lovely.
Everyone would do that. But, you know, the people who are kind of living in a crappy alignment, they're not even thinking that enough to think that probably why they're in the situation they're in.
God, this is Huge. Amy, how do. How do you see me? No, we won't do this on the air. We'll do this in private. Okay, but. So this is a big one. This is good. You have to be really vulnerable to do this, but, like, you know, because it might be very different than what you see yourself. But we're. We're talking about resetting. We're talking about opportunity, and we're talking about choice. And. And again, this is. This is your choice to move to your next level. This is your choice to. To reset and have an opportunity to do this next phase, to do this new chapter.
And this is the empowerment. Right? Yeah. Sorry, I didn't mean to overlap you there, apologize. But you get me so excited. I got it. I gotta say it, but it is. Yes, this is. This is your empowerment. I love that you say that. It's your choice. This is your opportunity, this is your ability, this is your freedom to assess where you are, who you are, how you're showing up, what do you really want it to be, and analyze that, like, what's missing? Where am I? Off a beat. Call in some friends to help you see that from a different perspective. You might be pleasantly surprised. I know that I've seen some things very negative sometimes, and I check in with my close friends and family, and they're like, no, this is what we're getting from you. This is what I'm learning from you. This is how I see you, what you're doing, where you're strong in this area. You know, Trust me. They tell me when I'm screwing up, too. Thank you very much. So this is empowerment. Like, what a great thing to. To be able to take a hold of and look at. Because I think when you look at all those things, we can. We can go to. To question number five.
Yep, yep. So just to recap questions too, because repetition is question number one, who am I now? Question number two, who do I want to be? Question number three, how do I see myself? Question number four, how do others see me? And then question number five. Am I living from purpose? Am I living from purpose?
And how can I live more purposefully? Right. Like. Yeah, are you living from purpose?
Oh, yeah, sorry. And that's. Yeah, yeah.
And how can you live more purposefully? How can you get even deeper into that purpose? Yeah, right.
And how would one know? You know, I mean, some key things of, you know, are you living from purpose? First of all, is there that deep sense of fulfillment? Right. Because if there's lack of that, then you're missing an opportunity to live more purposefully. And so if, you know, if there's. If you feel lost, if you don't feel a deep sense of fulfillment, you know, certainly if you just feel like you're living on the surface of things, right, and you're just making it through the week, and you know that, then you're not living from purpose. So there's so many, like, little key indicators, you know, And I think that, you know, you'll. You'll know, you know.
Today. I'm sorry.
No, you're fine. You're fine. Go for it.
I have a purpose.
You have to say something right now. Go for it.
My purpose is to cut people off when I'm really excited.
Excited.
No, but again, I will. I will. Just like I want to always reiterate what I've worked on is that it's not a missed opportunity. If you feel that discord, that angst, that something's not right, or that desire for more, you feel like you've missed an opportunity. You haven't. It is your opportunity. This is the call inside of you that is saying, hey, hey there.
Hello.
I've got something that we're supposed to be doing and it's time. I'm gonna keep telling you. It's like, you know, the kids tapping on your leg constantly. Like when I used to tell them, you are not a woodpecker and I am not a tree. Well, your inside self is telling you it's a woodpecker and you're a tree. And it's not going to stop. It's going to drive you crazy. Tell you, listen to it, because there's something inside you that is asking you to pursue it, listen to it and investigate it.
It. I love it. That's beautiful. So, yeah. So, you know, are you living from purpose and everything that Amy said? Listen to that inner wisdom again. The, you know, Chinese medicine, the kidney system is our foundation, but that's all about, like, our purpose. That's has to do with why we're, you know, on this planet. And. And if we are off of that, you know, sounds, we would. But energetically, things just don't move as smooth. Things just don't have that Wu way or that effortless movement. Right. So, you know, how can you get back in line with that and how, you know, this is important. Like, you know, what is that? What are some things that you've thought about? Maybe it's something that you. Maybe you're 57 years old right now, and there was a deep sense of knowing when you were 22 on this thing and you got sidetracked, you know, that many years ago. Now it's time to go back and revisit that. If it's something that's been there and it's kind of. It's trailed behind you all your life, but you haven't given it the attention it deserves and it's still there with you today, then that's your purpose screaming at you, right? It's going to keep showing up until you, you know, give it the energy it deserves, until you give it the attention it deserves. And so now's the time with the R, with the reset, with the opportunity to grab it. And Brendan, I was going to save this for the end, but I think now's a good time. As he talks about, there's three different types of pain. There's process pain, outcome pain, and loss pain. And so, you know, it's okay to have that. So you might have to give something up. There might have to be something that you might have to lose to. To move into you this higher self, to move into this next phase. Right.
Guarantee.
Don't be afraid of what the outcome is. Don't be afraid of that. Come push into it. So don't worry it. Don't let the feeling of it. What if it doesn't work out? What if it. Like that's. That's life, right? It's hard sometimes, it's scary sometimes. And yeah, so. And then the process of even writing this down, right, of doing this home. For some people, this could be a really big challenge. For some people, you've already, you know, shut this podcast off because that process is just too hard. You have to look at stuff, you have to think, you have to go beyond a layer that you're typically living and you're pushing into something deeper that you haven't touched in, you know, decades. So the process pain is real. We all have it. It's okay. We're here together to do it together. Yeah.
And yeah, I think when you're. You're looking for your purpose, you may.

Looking to get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away and with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease and equinox EV helps you keep moving along, like with confidence. Chevrolet. Together. Let's drive.
I have two. Two things. You may go down this track and. And kind of work through something that you're feeling or interested or you feel like it's a purpose and get there and go, oh, maybe not. Well, guess what? You still. You still have followed a purpose. You're still learning. And I don't think that we. We don't have missed opportunities like you didn't. You didn't. If you quote, unquote, lost sight of something that you had at 22, and it's still with you at 57. You have been building a base and an education that maybe there was something you had to go through. Experience, learn, expand on to get to the decision at 57 to go and pursue what you wanted to at 22 that you wouldn't not have been able to. You've either had to learn a different mindset by learning different experiences about yourself or what have you, but you've been forged for this time today. So if that space is still in you, you, it's there for you to pursue now. Yeah, everything.
What a great word.
Yes. We're like. We're like the. What are those? Oh, gosh, the dwarfs. We're like the dwarf's hammer. Come on. They forged them. Anyway, I'm a nerd.
I know what you're talking about. And I was like, are we. Am I a gnome or a dwarf? What's the difference between a gnome and a dwarf?
Gnomes just seem so much happier, less violent.
Yeah, the dwarfs, they're kind of like.
I mean, yes, I am totally living a hobbit.
It. I do right now.
But. Okay, so fifth question. Am I living from purpose? And how can I live more purposefully? So what is your purpose in life and what is your purpose at this time? And how can you do that more deeply? How can you grow another level? So that takes us into question number six. One of my favorites. I love this part.
What is it? Tell us. Share.
Oh, I get to do this one. Okay. Question number six.
Yes.
Okay. What dreams have I or goals? What dreams and goals have I not fulfilled? What's. What's big, crazy, audacious thing would you like to do? It doesn't always have to be crazy big, but, you know, you can set up little goals. Like, I wanted to do this in my career. I wanted to do this with my relationship, or I wanted to go to this place. Those are great. But how big can you make it it? I think you should absolutely Scare yourself. Like, write down something that seems a little ridiculous.
Yeah. So what are they? List them. Write them down.
List them all down. Crazy. Yeah, go crazy with it.
No barriers.
And I love that part. I've always been a dreamer.
It's good. I think that, you know, we. Some people. Some people have grew up in places where they weren't really supported in a way to, you know, let those fly and. Because they might have seemed ridiculous at some time to maybe a parent or somebody or a guardian or somebody like that in their life or where they felt it seemed ridiculous and there was nobody there to say, hey, that's not ridiculous. You should just, you know, explore that. Try it. Explore it. See what. See what comes of it. But, yeah, so this is where you can take the gloves off and. Because this is your world that you're creating and it's your choice. So, yeah, make them big. And again, Maybe it's something 20 years ago, you know, who knows?
Yeah, what? Yeah, go back to when you were teenagers or a little kid or. Yeah, go back and let yourself. Go back to the drink. Because I think sometimes as we've, you know, we got older and we kind of had to maybe get locked into some responsible decisions and you felt like you had to do these types of things and you had to set aside some aspirations and some dreams. Maybe, maybe that was for that time. You know, some people lose sight of those dreams because they think, no, that was just a dream. I. This is reality and this is how life is. And, you know, I encourage you to allow yourself to have those big dreams. I know some people are afraid to go and experience something for a minute. You know, like, I don't want to go to that really great place because then I have to leave it and it's going to be over. Man, that always made me really sad. It's like, really, you wouldn't want to eat ice cream ever in your life because, like, what if you only got to eat ice cream one time? Like, think of the best thing you ever. We could not. Let's not think about the best thing. But. All right, now that the wheels are turning in my head, let's go with ice cream. Let's think of something that is so extremely pleasurable in this human life that you get to experience and you only got to do it once. Would you still do it the once if knowing you were only going to do it once and just be like, I'm only going to do it once, and then I'm going to remember how fantastic that was for the Rest of my life. I would. I would do it.
Yeah.
Yeah. I would.
It's our time. It's our time to eat that ice cream. And it's. You know, and it. There's. It. It doesn't have to be one thing too. There can be an evolution, you know, of things. And so. But it's great when you come up with a dream or a goal and then you fulfill it. That energy. Maybe you've had that experience and you haven't had it for a long time. Feedback into that energy of what it felt like, right? Because it's there and that's fuel. So if you have had a dream that you had fulfilled at one time and you had goals, but something happened and you got sidetracked, you know, in life and. And you've been, you know, just kind of in auto mode, mechanically living, and you haven't. You're not fulfilling that deeper purpose. And you're writing down these next streaming goals. Remember that what that energy was that fed you before to go after it, we felt more courageous, right. We felt clear where you felt, you know, the power of all that and then how good it felt. And use that for. Feel for fuel. And if you haven't felt that, another thing is maybe talk to people, other peers or people who have had that and let them share that energy with you. Right? Because again, this is. This is a short life. And, you know, this whole. This whole thing, again, is just about how to help you live your best life left here. So, again, not to be morbid, but when we're back on that. Back in that place of this rest in peace, and, you know, we're at the deathbed again, we want you to. To. To. To say, I lived the life that I wanted in my way. I loved and. Oh, my God, I almost said Brendan stuff too. He's in my head, too. I can't use this. He's gonna sue me.
It's hard to get your mental.
Because he always says, yeah, well, his. His whole thing is. And I think it's beautiful. So. But. But. But his whole thing, from his experience, the words stick in his head from his story that he tells about what shook him was, did he. Did he live, did he love and did he matter? And I think that that's very applicable, you know, what we're talking about. Yeah.
Unfortunately, he copyrighted that, so now nobody can use.
Yeah. Which is pretty amazing.
I know.
It meant so much to him. He copyrighted it. So I didn't actually use it because I said. He said yes. So I'M just quoting. I can do that.
Right? We can do that. His motto is, did you live? He wants to ask himself every day, which we resonate with 100. Which is why he became our. Both of our mentors. Right? Like, did we. Did we live each day? Did I live in a good way? Did I do something that mattered? You know, did I show up? Did I do something? And did I love? Did I. Did I open my heart? And did I have compassion and understanding and connection? All of that brings meaning to his life. And find your mantra, whatever it is, you know, and ask yourself those spaces every day. And I think a good way to do that, Brian, is like the, you know, it seems a little cliche, but. Or overly easy. But those life wheels are very handy on a regular basis to walk through and just go, gosh, how am I doing here? Where am I at in this area? And cautiously, like, be. Be careful with yourself. Because I know sometimes people look at those things and they'll feel a lot of trepidation. You know, they'll feel a lot of angst around, gosh, I'm failing, or, oh, I'm scared about this, or I don't want to think about my finances, or I don't want to call that person because I screwed up, or I think they're mad at me or whatever. Yep, those are okay. Don't be afraid of the fear. I always talk about fear like, those are the socks under the bed that there's a shadow I know on your wall that you think is a giant monster, and you finally get courage to jump under the bed and attack the monster, and you're like, oh, it was my socks that fell underneath. You know, it's like, fear is not that scary. If you just bring those things up to the light and let it bubble up and confront it a little bit, they're not so scary. It's always going to be a little better. So when you're letting yourself have, you know, those questions of, am I? Who am I? And who do I want to be? How do others see me? Am I living from purpose? What dreams do I still have that are not fulfilled? And what. Where are they really coming from? And when I was little, you know, you get that at, like, what do you want to do when you want to. Where do you want to be when you grow up? Right. I had a few things that I knew I wanted to be for most of my.
My.
My childhood, like, all the way up into, like, middle school, grade, high school. And it was always going to be. I wanted to be, like, a dancer. I wanted to go to Broadway. I wanted to be an actress. I wanted to be on a stage and perform in some way and all of that. I remember people would ask me, well, why? And I was like, I just want to make people feel good. I want to make people happy, and I want to make them smile. And I mean, I had that from when I was, like, 4 or 5 years old. I knew that that was something I wanted to do. And I look back at my life, and I did dance and theater all the way through school, and I thought I was going to go perform in Off Broadway or dance and be in a performance of some sort. And that kind of took a different turn right in my last few years of high school. And. But I look at all the things that I've chosen to do and pursue, and everything I have done is in some form or fashion to help somebody feel better, perform better in their life. And even, like, the coaching, it's like, I still just want to make people feel good and be happy. So my.
I feel like you're doing it right now.
And I am able to pursue my purpose. So, you know, look back at those things, not with disappointment or being scared of them, but with, okay, how did life actually show up for me to do the things that are in my heart? How am I actually, like, rocking it a little bit? And how can I blow that up a little bit more? I want to. I want to do this, and I want to. I just want to expand it. I want to touch more people in the world. I still want to go build a well with wine to water, and I'm going to, you know, and I want to do those purposeful things. How can you apply all this to your life? And maybe it doesn't look like you had it 20 years ago. Maybe there's other ways it's showing up for you that you can still find that happiness and fulfillment, but get scared a little bit. Believe in the possibilities of things just happening for you, because if it is in you, it is for you.
Oh, I love that. Wow, What a big R. Resets big. This is big. So that was amazing. Amy and everybody, that homework is, you can do this. Sorry, your opportunity here. There's an opportunity here. So it's a big R. So the R is for reset. And you guys, I hope that you enjoyed all of this and you are going to do that. And I would love, you know, any feedback you guys ever have, and then make sure you join us for the I, which we're not going to tell you what the I stands for, but the I does not stand for in, that's for sure. So the I. The I is awesome, and the P is really awesome. So we're going to build on it. And so this is a lot of reflection and. And peeling back some layers and. And looking a little bit deeper. But, you know, what if you only have 10 years left on this planet? What if you only have tomorrow five years left on this planet?
But yeah, what if tomorrow. I mean, come on. I know that's like, kind of morbid, people will say, but I think it's actually beautiful. I think it's. It's the whole thing around opportunity and gratitude. Like, today is your day, and it doesn't mean you have to go and conquer the world. It means who can you reach out to sitting across the street from you or across the bus from you or on the tracking, trekking hill. Right. And just connect, lift up, do something kind. Make some little tiny step forward with what your purpose was for. To be here.
Yeah. Have a sense of urgency and have a sense of urgency to share this podcast. Please, please, please, please. I'm not good at asking for stuff. I'm getting better. And Amy and I are begging and asking you all to download every episode. So Apple and Spotify and all those people, all the AI algorithms, you know, sense that people are digging it and liking it more so that it can be recommended to other people and, you know, make sure you listen to them.
It's so exciting. And in case you don't like, I just want to jump in because some people that listen to us don't really know how to make that work. So if you're listening on itunes or Spotify, I don't. I know itunes best. Right. But you can go in when you click on our podcast, like some people's, it just pops up or whatever. If you go into the actual podcast part, you can scroll what one you can download it. Just going to look this through as I'm saying it, right? So, like, you can click on us. You can go to the top, right?
Download.
Oh, yeah. Well, you. Yeah, you can download each one you can download. You can do the three little buttons and follow and play next or whatnot. You can share that way. But where do they do the five stars? Is it underneath the bottom? At the very bottom of the main.
Yeah, yeah. And there's. Yeah, there's a place on there. So make sure you leave. A review would be really awesome. And if you happen to know anybody who, you know, could use a little bit of an improvement in their life or could be have another level that they can move up to. Or if you can tell that they're not living their life to their fullest and they could use this podcast for some help, please give it to them. Share. This is an opportunity for you to give more meaning to somebody else's life and to contribute. And so thank you for contributing and thank you for listening to this podcast. We really appreciate, appreciate you so much.
Thank you. And Brian, I thank you and I appreciate you.
I appreciate you too, Amy. Thank you very much.
You're rocking.
All right, everybody have a wonderful. You know you're awesome and I know. So I think I'm just gonna make a suggestion. Since you want to be on stage and be a performer, what if you gave us like all like a recital of something? Like if you could, we could go zoo live one day and you could have like a little mini production would be pretty cool.
Well, I'm easing into that. I'm not quite as brave in that arena as I once was, but I do believe there is something coming in my future in that space.
So I love it.
Stay tuned.
Stay tuned. So if you get, if everybody makes it through the R, the I and the P and does their homework, Amy's going to do a song and dance for you.
Oh dear Lord, no I'm not.
But I'm out of here.
Thank you guys. Good night. Goodbye.
Take care.
