Hello, Amy. I hail from Canada. Oh, Canada. Oh, Canada.
Yep. You are. You are off of traveling.
I am traveling. Jet lag in smoked filled. Oh Canada right now. Which is not as apocalyptic. I know it's not as apocalyptic as New York looks, but it kind of was like Denver was four weeks ago. Ish. Yeah, that's. Yeah, it's. It's. Man, I'm sorry about that.
But can I just make a plug of how much I respect and love our firemen? Just a little side note.
Yeah.
And Canadian firemen, for that matter. I actually have some. I have quite a few pictures with Canadian firemen from my earlier travel years.
I think I saw those in a calendar one.
Oh, man. Well, if nobody's caught on, this is an evening podcast. That's why we're silly and giggly. But I'm not drinking. I'm not having any drinks. There's no, there's no beverages happening on my part. We're just literally silly.
Silly.
Delirious from the adventures of the day.
That's right. I got a, I got a Thai massage today because I got here and had like some funny shenanigans with my Airbnb and. And just like just kind of all, you know, to travel. Funniness of all of it.
Yeah.
And so I went and got a Thai massage and I got stepped on for like an hour and I think I might have released a lot of stuff in my body.
Yeah.
And I'm jet lagged too, so I don't know what's going to happen here.
But you're going to detox big time. And so you're cleaning it up with a beer.
That was our private conversation before this podcast.
Well, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of. You can have a beer while you're out on the. While you're not on vacation, but there's nothing wrong.
I wish that we would have had. You would have been here and seeing what happened in my. This. I don't even know. This is kind of like hotel room really, but there's. Have you ever been in a place where there's different light bulbs? Like the bulbs by the bedside with like that bright white. That, like bluey? Yeah.
Are you safe? Do you think you're safe?
No, I feel safe. I feel safe. But then they have these nice warm ones in the kitchen. And so I've been. I've been moving light bulbs around to create because I'm going to be here for four days. So now I got the nice warm light bulbs on each side of the bed lamps and then I left the light white ones out and only have two in the kitchen because they were too bright. Even though there's four warm light ones. I know people really don't want to hear this right now, but I'm sure everybody can associate with that.
But right now all of our listeners are fascinated with our lighting needs because I don't like the bright whites either. And some people really do. It really makes me feel like the fluorescent lights. So the first thing I do if I move in somewhere or if I have a whatever, switch out all the lights to the warm. To the warm light because that makes me happier.
Cheers. Cheers to that. I hear you, sister. I hear you. I hear you.
Did you go around and test all the mirrors and like put your finger on and make sure nobody's watching you? This is a real travel thing. You have to do it. We'll have to do a podcast on it sometime about safety and traveling.
I have not. But if they want to. I don't. I don't know. I don't know.
It's different.
I'm sure they would shut it off. I'm sure they would shut off whatever they're watching really quickly.
They're gonna be like, oh, what did we get ourselves into? Delete. Turn that off. Turn it off. What's he doing?
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if that's worth your Time. So I'm excited. I'm excited because we're gonna do the second part of our three part series and we're doing it the I. So if you're just jumping in on the series, you have to go back and listen to the R. So we're on I tonight. So there's a three part series for rip, which is rip, and it's not really for Rest in Peace. You have to listen to the first one to understand what we're talking about.
Yeah, it's a secret.
It's a secret. So to. To decode the secret. Kind of like I had to decode getting into this building tonight because there was a lockbox literally a block away inside, by the way, inside a convenience store, mounted to the wall inside of a convenience store. There's like some Airbnb shenanigans going on here in Canada. Okay, sorry. I digress.
No offense. Canada, we love you.
No, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna get in trouble here. Yeah, there's some. There's some. Anyway, so we. So you have to go back and listen to R. To understand what we're talking about. With the eye. Amy, tell us what the eyes about.
The I is all about. Oh, I so wanted to do it and I can't do it. Darn it. It's all about igniting. Do you remember the. Okay, this is going to maybe expose my. My growing up years because of where I lived in Texas and Oklahoma. But did you ever go to see those or hear about the ra. The races that they did with the big trucks?
Like, the big trucks, of course.
And they would say, you get the whole seat, but you only need the edge.
I don't remember that part.
I felt. This is why I don't tell jokes either. Okay. Just for future reference, I'm funny and witty on the fly, but I cannot tell jokes because I forget the punchline and I'm terrible at delivering it. So it's disastrous every time. Because I do that, I destroy it. But it's all about igniting fire.
Can we go back to the monster trucks real quick? Was it. Was it like Bigfoot? No, there was one that shot flames out of the. Out of the smokestacks on the side. Is that the one you're talking about? Or did they say ignite and then they took off?
Oh, I don't know. There was. I think I. I think I've only been to one of those. Like, it's because when my son was little, he loved all of that. It was really not my thing, but Nick really Loved the Big Loud. And I think we went to one Bigfoot show or like, the big Truck things. But no, it was like their commercial where it's like. I think it was for those things, but it was like, you know, kind of like how they do Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. You get the whole seat, but you only need the edge because.
Yeah, that's good. Yeah, I don't remember that. But your memory is solid. I love it.
Like, I'm gonna regret that.
I mean, it's amazing. So, like, what creates that memory? Like, you remember that? I remember jingles. Anything with a jingle, I remember, but I don't remember. If that had a jingle with it, I would have remembered it.
Well, they played it all the time. And then Nick's dad, my husband at the time, hey, Clint, they used to run. They used to like saying it. And so they would just randomly, you know, the boys would just randomly yell that out occasionally.
Oh, oh, there you go. So that was the jingle right there. Yeah.
So anyway, tonight is about the eye. It is about the igniting, your excitement, your energy, and, you know, following up for. We got to tell them what the R was. It's not going to make sense because last week we talked about the R, which reset was. Reset, right. Yeah.
Yeah. So we had specific questions, homework for you to do around the R. So you do have to go back and listen, because we can't give you everything if you don't listen to it. I can't tell you all of it right now. And so there's some very specific key questions that really unlocks your human potential. So, I mean, if you don't want to listen to it, fine, don't. But if you want to unlock your human potential and when you go to your deathbed, feel like you've lived the life that you wanted to live and that you have no regrets, then you should go back and listen to that.
Yeah. So reset was going back and getting some clarity on focusing on your dreams, your identity, your goal, who you want to be and who you want to show up to be. Right. And we just talked about some practices to build the clarity around that. And. And then the ignite is, you know, now that you've got your inner dialogue and that authentic self kind of plotted out, envisioned right now, it's. How do you build that energy that drives you? How do you build that fire that drives you to start the process of obtaining and getting to that goal or ideal self, an ideal life?
Yep. I love it. Have you ever had the salt and pepper, the boulder peppers here Baby, the boulder. The Boulder. The Boulder. Kettle. Not kettle. Crinkle. Crinkle. What is it? What is it? What are those chips?
The.
Yes, those amazing salt pepper chips. Yeah, they're kettle.
Yeah, it's the salt and vinegar kettle chips.
Oh, the salt and pepper one. Yeah, they're so good.
And vinegar.
Vinegar. If you've had something like that that you've had once and you, you know how you have like the old chip commercial, you can't just have one, right? That's what we want. These emotions and that connective, that energy that we're going to talk about with the homework later. We want it to be like that. You just. Now that you've tasted it, you just can't have one. You want more, right? I want you to eat the whole. I want you to eat the whole bag.
Did you know your cell phone is made with recycled materials? That's right. In fact, most of the things around you that you depend on every day are made with recycled materials. And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease. And Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence Chevrolet together.
Let's drive these emotions, the whole bag of all this stuff that you did in your homework. Number one, about reliving your purpose and what is your purpose and some of those goals and some of those dreams and who you want to be, who you identify as and all those things you did in your homework and connected with. We want those to be like that feeling that you had when you were going through it that you maybe we'll talk about. I don't jump too far ahead, but that's what we want this to turn into. It's like you just can't have one. You want more. You want more. You want more. So.
Oh, wait, this.
Yeah.
Yes. More. You said more. You want more. You know what that means? You know what you're building? You are. You're building dopamine. You want more. That's. You gotta. You gotta feed the dopamine process in your body.
Amy's a dope addict. Dopamine addict.
Well, I think we all are. That's kind of what dopamine is. It's very addictive.
So. Okay, well, then, just to digress real quick. Yes, because we're good at that. But the drama in life that people put energy into, because there is that thing like the news, there's so much that's not great for you that doesn't propel you forward, that isn't going to motivate you, that's not going to bring the best out of you that we pay attention to. Like, is that releasing dopamine to. Do people literally just get addictive to, like, some of the other mundane BS of life is that is. Do we get dopamine releases there?
So, man, I'm gonna have to really brush up on my. Do my dopamine science. We're gonna have to have a guest podcast. Dr. Huberman, Dr. Huberman, you are. You're needed in the podcast lobby, please.
The dopamine er. The dopamine er, Dr. Huberman, please.
Stat. The dopamine er. And you needed stat. In a way. Yeah. Your body just. Your brain gets used to certain motivations and certain stimulations of motivation to where you want more, but that. It's like the addiction, like, for drinking or drugs or anything else, Running, sex, relationship, drama, food, all of it, like, all of it is. You're going to have a release of dopamine to get you excited, to look forward to something, and to push you to go get it.
That's what we want you. We want that bag of chips. We want more of those. We want it to be this good stuff. But now I really do want to know, are we directed our energy to the wrong thing that's given us a dopamine response because it's so easy and accessible?
Yes.
And that's where the addiction is. So easy and accessible.
And that's where the addiction part comes from. And because you've heard me talk about, like, the baseline of dopamine, like, we kind of have a. A certain level of dopamine, and when you get a rush or. Or you achieve something, you're really not achieving it, but you're driving to get it. You're really driven to get that. Whatever. You're getting a dopamine push from that and it shoots up and you get a lot of it. Right. But once you achieve it, you get it, You've got it, you've got the reward, whatever that was. Your dopamine actually drops below the normal baseline. So, like, I had a friend that was running marathons. And he got really. Did really good and came back. And he's like, it's been weird. I just did really well. But I'm. I'm feeling kind of blue and melancholy. And I was like, well, you just. You just had, like, months leading up to this huge race, and you did really great, and you did really well, and it was big and exciting, and your dopamines dropped, and he's like, oh, you're right. So you got to just let yourself chill for a couple of days. You actually kind of do a. A dopamine detox. And then you do some little things to help reset your baseline. But that's where, like, the addiction process can come in. Because a lot of times, people don't ever let it drop. They just keep looking for more and more and more of the thing that made them feel good or made them want to chase the whatever.
So my new challenge we got. We do have to. We will get back to this eye. This is really important, people. Do not leave right now. But I'm just going to say this because I don't care what political party you're on. Like, we. I challenge you not to get your dopamine fixed by watching any sort of news. Like, I don't care if it's like, oh, my God, I can't wait to see Anderson Cooper. I can't wait to turn on CNN or I can't wait to turn on Fox to see whoever. I can't wait to turn on CBS or Inst. If you're going to hit the power on that remote button, right before you hit the power, I want you to think about hitting the power on yourself, hitting the power on your self motivation to break out the journal, to write something down, to think about some questions we're asking, to redirect it somewhere else. So if you're drawing and you catch yourself drawing any sort of energy from things that are out of your control, that are so super intense or that fuel the fire that we're not looking for, that is not propelling you forward, then don't hit that power button. Hit the power button on you. Power button.
Power, power up. I feel like we should put on Tron suits and run around yelling that.
You know what I love? I love the Tron suits I wanted to wear. I want to love those Tron box.
I really want. I want one for Halloween. Okay. Gosh, I am really revealing a lot of personal stuff tonight.
Oh, we know what we're gonna do for Halloween party.
I'll just, like, attach glow Lights onto a bodysuit.
I mean, trauma's pretty simple, but I want you to make that.
So all of this stuff, though, ironically, I know we kind of felt like we were digressing just a bit, but we weren't. We were talking about motivation and excitement. We're building energy, we're building anticipation. You know, we're, we're igniting a fire and a passion for something, right? And some people, speaking of Halloween, do start planning their Halloween costumes in July or June, wherever we are in the world, it is June. They get that excited about it and they start like planning it and thinking about it and putting it together months and months in advance. I, I do not. But yeah, that's, that's that they get excited. They remember last year, they think about the party that they're going to go to or, you know, how cool it'll be when it's all done. And they just build this anticipation of excitement around this end goal. Right? And that's what we're talking about igniting. Get that fire going.
Yeah. And those. So that's a good point of. We're going to bring it back to the homework you did for the deeper stuff. But that same, that same thing, the same thing about the little stuff that we do, whether it's that, the Halloween thing or whatever, Whatever those juices are. That, whatever those juices are, it's the same fluid. It's the same juice. It's. I shouldn't say fluid, but it's the same energy. It's the same energy. It's the same, you know what I'm saying? It's the same, it's the same magical fuel in all of it, right? That is that spark, that get. That gets us going. So whether it's, oh my God, I can't wait to put the Christmas tree up because I love decorating it so much. I can't wait to do this. So even it might seem mundane, but like, stop and pause and just be like, why am I so excited about this? I'm so excited because it brings this to me. It brings like, it's a goal that you look forward to it. They, you know, whatever that culture is, whatever you put around it. And so we're trying to put that same dressing, that same energy, that same special sauce, that same. I gotta quit saying fluids and sauces around. Do you guys. It's three hours later. I don't even know what time it is. I've been waking up at 3:30 and 4:30 every day. I know what's happening. Gosh, but we have. We that same. From the reset. From the reset. The homework that you did about who you want to be, how do you see yourself? How do others see you? Right? Are you living purposefully from purpose fulfilled? Any dreams or goals, no matter how big crazy they may seem, what do you want to pick up? What did you leave behind? Where do you want to start? But that same, that same energy when you were doing that homework that got you all jazzed up, I could feel it stirring. It's ready, it's here. And then we jump into it.
Okay. Some people, like, I battle procrastination. I know that's a shocker for some people. I don't know who it's a shocker for, but I do. I battle procrastination and there's a lot of research, right? I do. I battle. It's a battle, but I don't know, it's. I listened to this really great conversation about procrastinate. Is it procrastination or distraction? Because sometimes distraction is actually good for the creative process. So sometimes distractions look like procrastination, but they're not. So I'm going to go with. I like to distract myself often. But you have to know yourself well enough, right? So you gotta. While we're looking at like, okay, you've got your plan, you've got your goals, you're trying to ignite yourself, get in and get to know yourself, right? Like what are your real. The way you do things. If you know you're a, you're a procrastinator or you know, you've got to like research something to the nth degree, which is also a form oftentimes of procrastination. Then you gotta know that maybe you operate from an energy of panic, right? Fear and panic are very similar, right? Just maybe fear of consequence, or you work from a fear or energy of just insightful planning and processing. Know how you're gonna be inspired and motivated to, to build this and then start planning that. Don't. You're not going to plan it if you're procrastinator. But just start thinking about it. It's fine.
That's totally fine. Yeah, you got this.
Got this. You'll get it done the day before, I promise. You're just going to jump right in because you, you're used to working under a panic and that's when you got like the dopamine built and you release the adrenaline and you go. And you, you still rock it out.
So you mean to tell me that maybe some people that are driven by.
Did you know your cell phone is made with recycled materials? That's right. In fact, most of the things around you that you depend on every day are made with recycled materials. Out there and feel the in your hair? Chevy EVs have you covered like the blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away. And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease. And Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence Chevrolet together, let's drive.
Certain drivers might be energy from panic. That might be one of our questions a little bit later. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe.
Is there a quiz at the end of this? Do I have to? Yeah.
Yes, there is. There is. Actually. We want you to read your homework that you did from the first session to us today and just give us all the personal details about who do.
You want to be?
How do you see yourself?
I'll do that on a. On a later short. How about that? We'll just do that on one of my short ones and then. Okay, okay. But. Okay, so what else do we want to say about igniting? I think it's a pretty straightforward process. Right? I mean, we're being a little fun and silly, but you do have to find a way to reach in and find that inspiration. And whether that's something that was a symbolic memory from a previous experience that you did that you can go, oh man, I remember how that felt. Like, I remember how it feels to finish that race. Or I know how it feels to come up over the hill on my bike. Or, you know, I know how it feels to get up at 2am so I can be on top of a Mountain at 5am but that feeling is really good. Not all the other part of it is always great, but the feeling of being coming up on like a sunrise on the top of a mountain. Like, I remember that feeling and I can use that as my. My fire stoker. That reminds me.
I do want to say, I think that there are. I mean, we are being silly, of course, but I think that one, there are actually some people who we want to give grace to that have never had an experience like that, that have never actually have felt that. Right. And so this is an opportunity that we're trying to facilitate in this process to help try to find that, to try to ignite that in a different way. And maybe this isn't going to be the way it's going to get you. I don't know. And then there's also a lot of people who maybe have forgotten. You know, it's been. It's been so long, right? Maybe you're 50 or 60 and it happened. And maybe that experience was your best self was in that fire you felt was at 19, right? And it's faded like an old photograph, right? And so how can we make it more vivid? How can we bring the color back to that photograph? How can we make it pop? How can we make it hd? And. And you know, again, I think saying it is easy. Saying it is easy. Us talking about it's easy. Us you listening to this is easy. You feeling it is hard. Us getting you to feel it is hard. You feeling it and wanting to do something with it is harder. Right? That's the thing. We're talking heads right now. And there's so many talking heads out there. And it's great because we need talking heads for things like this. And that's the reason why there's so many different talking heads and there's so many books and there's so many. Of all these other things is because it's certain key things that will help people. A certain personality, a certain phrase in a book, a certain word that's used. Who knows what that's going to be, right? And moving into this homework is not just saying it and you hearing it, because that's the easy part for all of us. That's the easy part for you. That's easy part for us. The hard part that's been for me is to viscerally feel it and reconnect with it and then to turn it into a. A fuel that we can use. The hard part for you is to do the same thing and then embrace it. And then the hardest part is once you have that is to keep coming back to it, to find a home base, right. That you can keep coming back to that you can find it. So it's kind of like in meditation. Once you've actually meditated, there's like a place that you know because you've felt it, so it's easier to get back to it. And so once you're there, I don't want to work, I don't want to jump ahead here, but once you're there, you'll know it. It's Like a feeling that you'll never. It'll never leave you. And you have the opportunity to go back to this place as many times as you want. And in your lowest times, your darkest times, your stressful times, your saddest times, your times where you're not motivated, your times where it's available to ignite you, it's. It's available to, to fire you up.
Yes, all of that. You made me think of a couple things. Like, one, you started off with saying, like, there are some people who maybe don't have that. You know, I can't even imagine that. You can't imagine what it would feel like to have the thing that you want either whether that's what you want you to be or an. An achievement or a goal or a connection or some sort. Right? I can't imagine that. You can't just imagine what that is. I've always been very visual driven, dream driven. So movies are a big thing for me. When I'm processing a lot of stuff or I'm. I'm sitting down before I go and do a lot of goals, or if I'm working really hard on a lot of stuff, I will just pause and I will go watch a movie that inspires me or helps fuel me. Sometimes it's not a happy feel, good movie. Sometimes it inspires me to do other things like, you know, release energy, build energy. But movies have always been an inspiration for me. Books, you know, reading stories. And you can find a way to create that feeling that you're looking for if you've never had it or if you're having trouble drumming it up. Right? Talking to somebody about a previous experience that got you happy, excited, ignited, fired up about something, bringing those emotions back, talking it through with somebody, writing it, journaling it. There's lots of science behind the magic of journaling and writing things down. But with all of that getting into your body and doing like the visualization process, doing like seeing it on television and thinking about the feeling or movie screen, what have you talking about with a friend, writing it down, all of those are building neurosynaptic connections that help your nervous system become more familiar with that feeling and that process. And the more you're familiar with it, the less your body feels resistance to achieving those things or seeking that out, like busting through that comfort zone right when you get to a place of working on this goal. So feeling the feeling, seeing it, building the excitement, all of that is like connecting synapses that make your brain more familiar with the process. So it's very cool.
Neurosynaptic.
So great.
I love it. That's beautiful.
I want. There's a. There's a video going around of two neurons connecting and creating. There's. It's like the image actually filming it of over. Obviously sped up quite a bit of these neurons growing and reaching their little tentacles for each other. And it's. That is. What's happening is a new and different perspective and thought is happening in this person's brain, and they're recording the neurons connecting and making new pathways. And it is so cool. I want it as a, like, screensaver. Okay.
I want you to send that to me because that's not the videos my friends sent to me. I want somebody to say, I want you to send me that.
Interesting effect on you, Brian.
So should we jump into some of the homework?
Homework? All right, so opportunity to grow. It's not a homework. It's an opportunity for growth.
Oh, that's right. That's right.
Build some new neuron synaptics, man.
Yeah, do it. But you have to go back and listen to the R. If you haven't listened R. So you can understand the. I.
Give us five stars and tell us you love us.
Yeah, I want. You know what? Please give us five stars. I'm just begging you. Just kidding. No, it's hard to ask for stuff, but I'm asking for. You know. All right, I'll take four and a half stars.
That's fine.
Just say something nice after it, though. But don't use the word but. These guys were amazing.
But. Oh, and I'm just kidding. And it's the new butt.
And it's a new butt. Okay, homework. You want to start us. Start us off with question number one.
Well, yeah, I kind of jumped into that by accident. Sorry. Ahead of time. But question number one for the ways to ignite yourself is to get to know what kind of energy drives you, what gets you moving, what's your motivating style? Like, what do you need to do identify that energy? Is it a panic? Is it insightfulness? Is it extra knowledge? Is it energy from fear? Like, make it happen. Start. Just identify what in the past has helped you really push through for a change or new. Goal number one.
Yeah, I love it just to pop something in there, too. And I think when you identify that energy, maybe spend a little time evaluating. Is that the best energy that think about why is that feeling? You know what I mean?
That's for another podcast entirely.
I know, I know. But the energy that I'm hoping For hoping to stoke. We're hoping to stoke. Is. Is this insightfulness, right. From. From homework number one and things and how you've connected with those moments in your life? Because we can. We have some of these other drivers from other. Other moments of our lives, but are those the ones that are really kicking butt? Are those the ones where we've really thrived the most? Are those the ones that are our incubators for success and for awesomeness? Right.
Well, that kind of ties into question number two, what you're driving into there.
Oh, yeah. So can I do it? Ready? Yeah, ready. Here comes. Here comes. What is something that you've done or place in life where you felt on fire, where you felt excited, where you felt on top of it, where you felt charged? But yeah. So someplace, like, what's a place for thing or something you've done, where you felt like you were just lit up or you felt like you had the yumminess going on all around you, where you felt like things were effortless, when you felt like you were ahead of it, where you felt like you could see it from all angles, views, perspectives, where you felt like you were relentless, where you felt like you were pursuing, where you felt like you were pushing and pulling and getting things done, and like things were just jazzed up for you.
Super determinated. Go, go, go.
Yes.

Looking to get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy E EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away. And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease. And Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence. Chevrolet together. Let's drive.
And then.
Yes, yes.
And then now we start to. Actually, I did a podcast a little short couple ones back about visualization. Right. Apparently, it's very relaxing. I was quite calm. So if you need some sleep help, folks, go listen to my visualization podcast. It's a double whammy because if you go to sleep while you're visualizing and listening to the podcast, it's super effective.
Okay, I can't wait to do that. I don't want to leave you, but I can't wait to do that after this podcast. I'm visualizing it already.
It. I'm telling you, it's going to be. It's a double whammy. It works great. Okay, but number three is. That is like, close your eyes and think about the reset homework. Think about previous experiences where you felt charged and you felt excited. And think about who you want to be and the dreams you want to. But visualize it, like, think on the process of what you've done in the past and who you want to be in the future and what that felt like. All right, so that's number three. Close your eyes. Go to sleep. I mean, go close your eyes.
They're closed. So close right now.
Don't go to sleep.
Yeah, feel it, Feel it. And then. And then when you close this, when you close your eyes, the next one is feeling that emotion, feeling that fire, feeling it churning, that desire, right? That's charging you up that you felt before. You want to feel this pool? Is it pulling you? And connect with that. Spend some time with it, Linger with it, right? Don't rush through it. And really just, like, ponder it. Be there with it for a while. Let it hang out. And, you know, ask yourself, when you feel it, does it make me feel lighter? Does it make me feel excited? You know, what is this?
Heart racing?
Heart racing. Are you ready just to, like, get. Get up and get after it?
Where are you feeling it in your body? Like, get in. Get into the somatic part of the feeling, right? Yeah.
I love it. And I do. I. I do think usually that energy is pulling you forward. It's not like, I don't want to do this and it's pushing you. It's like. It's like I want to get after it. I'm, like, pulling into it. It's pulling me and. Sorry.
I don't know.
I just felt like I growled. Did I growl just now? A little bit.
Hey, if that exciting energy is growling, growl with it. Growl with it, baby.
Pulling myself to my bed here in a minute. But spend that time with it. Because, Amy. Because, Amy, when you feel it. Next question. Number five. What's it do for you? Amy, what are you doing?
Number five, you got to put a flag in it.
Like, put a flag in it.
You're gonna have to expand on that one for me. What do you mean, put a flag in it?
Okay, so when I've taught meditation stuff before, I said it a little earlier in the podcast, but once you've been there before, your body.
Oh, I remember this. Yes.
Yeah, Right? Your body knows it. So put a flag in it, because you can always come back to it so much easier. But you got to recognize you've been there, recognize that feeling. And so once you feel this, like, so I'm teaching tomorrow, and I haven't taught this class on Saturday and Sunday. That. First of all, I'm teaching a new class tomorrow, so it's going to be. Who knows what's going to happen? And then on Saturday and Sunday, I'm teaching class I haven't taught in three years. So there was part of me that was really kind of nervous, and I've been like, working my butt to. To revamp stuff, because when I looked at my workbook from three years ago, I'm like, my graphics are so much better now. I gotta redo everything. But it could turn out to be whatever it's gonna be. It's. It's an adventure. But the thing that got me excited is I. I closed my eyes and I went back to that feeling of when I taught it before. And every time I teach, like, I'm on freaking cloud nine. Like, I'm so jazzed. I'm so hyped. I'm so excited. And the feeling afterwards is just amazing. And so when I started to get a little anxiety around maybe not being as prepared as I should or I need this graphic in here, like, I'm. I literally had to plug two graphics in off the Internet because I didn't have time to go take photographs. I was. You know what? I just feel that. So I had to go to that energy, and it just freaking annihilated any of the anxiety, right? So. So I put a flag in it. So I went back to. I went back to that feeling, that emotion of what that past experience was. And it's like, all right, I'm good. Let's do this.
Like, it. I even, like, the actual visualization process of, like, name that feeling and put a flag in it, like, the process of doing that. But yeah, it's that whole thing of pulling on a. A feeling and an emotion, feeling it in your body, express it through your body. Like, turn on music, go for a run, do a hike, dance around, draw, paint, whatever it is, like, somatically, physically, you need to do to kind of get that excitement flowing, go for it and, and, and remember that feeling, right? So that. That putting that flag, you're. You're reconnecting those synaptic processes to make your body pumped and ready to be familiar with what you're going to focus on over your goal period. Right? But. And then, yeah, you know, and take. I'm going to take us right into to six. If you're good with that? May I?
Yeah, yeah, go for it.
Spend five minutes a day with five minutes.
That's it. Five minutes.
Just five minutes.
Magical five.
And then I, I don't know if I said this in the visualization process, but neuroscience even shows like three to seven minutes a day for 62. 63 Days is the most. Well, it's the most consistent on average time frame that it takes for people to build a new habit and really integrate it into not just a knowledge base, but actually a brain process, an automation process. Now, people need, some people need longer, some people need more or less. Some people can do it really fast. Like you burn your hand on the stove. It's not going to take you 63 times to figure that out. You'll get it really quick. But some people do need twice. But whatever, we're not judging. So that five minutes is the perfect happy space. Spend five minutes a day for as long as you can. Like you're going to do it for a week. Do it for a week. But you really should practice the minimum of 63 days. But practice five minutes you can do.
It takes, it takes some people five minutes to go pee. So, you know, think about how many times you do that a day. It doesn't take me five minutes, by the way.
But they sit there, they stand there, sit there for five minutes, probably like.
Contemplating and then like, oh, wait, what was I in here for?
Go sit on the toilet. Visualize who you want to be and the goals you want to achieve. Do some four square breath work. And yes, feel your body.
Maximize your time. Maximize your time.
If you're doing this at work, make sure you're in a bathroom stall with the, with the doors locked so people aren't watching.
With the deep breathing.
Oh, my, we're silly. So, yes, that's the process. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. We have six things you should be doing for your homework this week.
All right, let's repeat them. One homework question number one. What kind of energy drives you?
Yes. Identify your energy.
Yeah. Is it from panic? Is it calm? Insightfulness? Is it from fear? Like, where's your energy? What is it? Evaluate that. Question number two.
Number two. I associate it, that feeling with a place or something you've done. Right. A previous experience. Right. Let's go quick. Number three.
Number three. Close your eyes. Think about the. Think about your reset homework. You got to go back to that homework. Who do you want to be? Your dreams, your goals, what you want to accomplish? Living more purposefully? Spend time with that energy of what you felt when you were writing that homework down, when you were thinking about that, when you were processing it. And if you go back and do.
It, number four, moving into the seal. Number four is the feeling of it. Like, grab a hold of the feeling. Where is it in your body? What does it feel like? Is it, you know, identify that excitement and that feeling. You feel it in your chest. You feel it in your gut. Do you feel like you're wanting to run and jump up and down or your palms getting sweaty? Is your head getting swirly? Yeah. Is it excitement? Is it pulling you forward? Yeah. So number four is the feeling. And then five, Put a flag in it. Put a flag in it.
It's always there. It's ready to fuel you. It's fuel for your now. Use it as fuel and it's ready to propel you forward. And the thing is, if you haven't experienced it before, this is an opportunity to dig for it. This is an opportunity to do some mining for that experience. And if you've had it and if you're experiencing it, it's available to you all the time. It's available to you now.
It's all there now. And then number six, give it five minutes a day and work. Work on closing the eyes, Walking it all through, seeing it, feeling it, expanding it. Put a flag in it. Do that for five minutes.
Boom, baby. Mic drop.
Sauce drop. Wait. Yep.
Brian dropped. Brian's dropping.
Brian, it's time for you to drop the mic and get somebody.
I'm ready to drop it. Drop it like it's hot. Well, I'm excited. So we have. If again, if you're just listening to this and if you're. If somebody is like, hey, listen to the five minutes of the last five minutes of this because Amy said something funny and you didn't know that there was actually an R that you have to listen to before the I. There's going to be a P after the I. And the whole reason there's an rip, which is a little weird because it's rest in peace. You have to go back and listen to the beginning of the R to understand what we're talking about. So it's a three part series and. And share this with as many people as you you can because you're doing them a great service and you're doing. You're helping everybody in your life evolve just a little bit more. And everybody needs a little bit of help evolving just a little bit more.
We all need to help each other evolve a little bit more.
Yeah.
But the best way to do it. Yes, share our podcast and encourage them. Yeah, but go do these things and live by an example. People will notice. People will notice if you haven't been, if you're, if you're achieving your goals and you're changing the way you're living your life, they're going to notice. So live by example.
And we know, we know if you're not sharing, we can track your IP address. We know that. That they're not. No, I'm just kidding. We cannot track any of that. I wish we could though, because Brian.
Ain'T nobody got time for that. Nobody got time for that.
I'm going to incorporate some AI into my life to figure this out. No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, but seriously. Yeah, that, that literally is the best thing you can do, is if anybody, if you like something or they've heard or any of the podcasts and if you could share it, give us a little review. Apple loves it, Spotify loves it, and more importantly, we love it. So thank you very much.
Thanks for listening, folks. Thank you, Brian. You have been extra, extra entertaining this evening. Thank you for making this fun and exciting and igniting.
Thank you, Amy, for igniting with me.
