EP 58 Power of Intention
18 Aug 2023 · 41 min
Amy Christensen and Brian Bowen explore how intention shapes health and wellness through visualization, ritual, and belief. They examine the placebo effect, quantum entanglement, and why objects or mantras can shift outcomes, while cautioning against using intention to influence others without consent.

Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It's been like a month. We took some summertime to ourselves and our families and I've missed you.
I know. I've missed you. Even though we get to high five each other in the hallway at work, it's different than our podcast.
No, it's a totally different vibe. This is like its own, own special, unique thing and we get to talk about fun things and usually at work, we're just passing each other so fast, but still love my high fives.
Yep, the high fives are good. And, and now. And now I've incorporated a. Hey, coach. Because I was. I got addicted to Ted Lato during our time away. Have you. I think I mentioned that to you.
Yes, I've, I've had.
I've.
I've heard that maybe I have some resemblance of, of TED Lasso, which I'll take. I love TED Lasso.
I love Ted Lasso, too. It's the best. I. The first time I started watching it, I didn't want to stop watching it because I just didn't want the good, the good, happy feelings to end. That was.
I know.
Yeah. And when I, and I kind of binge watched over the last, like, month and a half, all, all seasons, I.
I wish that they were not going to end that show. And I'm an optimist. But that guy's an optimist at a whole nother level. Like, I'm, you know, super happy optimist. But Ted Lasso, he's. He's like, you know, times another thousand.
Yeah. Yep. And I, you know, but. And I appreciate that they didn't make him completely unrelatable. Like, it's. He definitely dealt with some heavy, heavy stuff, and they made it realistic. But it's a good. It's just, it was such a good reminder of, you know, that I know it's a TV show, but we can. We can affect, like, people and our world and our environment by just the little things we think and say and do and how we choose to see stuff. And I've adopted the I appreciate you comments that he always made. And I, it does make a difference. I can immediately tell when you say, hey, I appreciate you. You know, people get it. Like, they like that, and they know if you mean it or not.
Yeah. Words. Words are powerful. And sometimes they only have to be. It only has to be one word. Right? One simple, little, simple little act or one word, and it draws you in. So it's very beautiful. And I appreciate. I appreciate you appreciating.
I appreciate you. Oh, man. Bring it back. Whoever makes that show, bring it back.
Bring it back.
So I'm. We're FaceTiming right now, and I am in New Orleans dropping my oldest off at college, which has been a really huge, huge thing for our family and a huge thing for her. And, like, it's my. The first one. So we're, we're trying to learn how to do this and just speaking of words and the things we say and, you know, it's pretty, pretty, pretty big deal and an amazing adventure and. But New Orleans is pretty cool and very interesting at the same time.
I have not been to New Orleans. I'm. I've not ever had an opportunity or something that drew me there, so. But I've heard it's quite fun and then beautiful and exciting and. Yeah. What kind of. Other than getting your daughter to college and doing a lot of swimming pool dips, what are you doing? What else are you so.
Well, we've been. We're staying in the Garden District area, which is a really cool area. And then we have just a little bit of things since we're going to be coming back here often. Probably some things on our hit list. And so we went down to the French Quarter, which is kind of gritty, but, yeah, there's some cool stuff and different times to check it out, but I am on a mission tonight. I want to go to, like, a voodoo place and, like, check out some voodoo dolls. I was joking with Tess and Melissa the other day about doing some acupuncture and, you know, distillate. I'm like, oh, yeah, you could just, like, if your back hurts, you could. The voodoo doll could be you. And you can massage your voodoo doll's back, like, while you're sitting on the couch, and it's like you're getting it back. So we were kind of joking around, so I'm gonna see if I can get some voodoo dolls for. For everybody, which I spilled. You know, unfortunately, you just now, you know, you might be getting a voodoo doll, so. Surprise.
Well, as long as it's the voodoo doll that I can do. Exactly. If I can. If I could, like, make the voodoo doll either me or if it works for other people and I can do little massages and make them feel better, I'll do it that way. But yeah, definitely not the kind of person will take a voodoo doll and wish bad things on another person.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could, like, literally just, you, like, using your pinky while you're watching Ted Lasso and you're massaging its back, which is actually massaging your back.
Wouldn't that be amazing? Oh, my gosh.
You're like, oh, my neck. I got a cramp in my neck. Oh, it's fine. I'm just going to squeeze it between my little fingers here and just give it a little eye.
She's.
Rub it a little bit.
I can do acupuncture. Acupuncture on myself, like, just release some tension spots. But it didn't it come from something like that? Or how did it overlap with putting, like, how did the voodoo dolls come about? When you go buy one, you're gonna have to ask them, like, find out what the history is a little bit there.
But, yeah, I need to learn a lot more. I looked up just a little bit. I know we talked about it, but so, yeah, it's. I think it's been twisted a little bit. Maybe Hollywood, you know, Hollywood and some vampires and witches, that stuff kind of twisted it up a little bit. But I think overall it was. It was utilized for good purposes and just one of many ritualistic type things that they did under voodoo, you know, which I think is. I'm not sure if it's really a religion or a spiritual, like, spiritual practice or what it is. I need to learn a lot more about that. But what you, you know, a Little bit more probably than I do because we were talking about it. You were throwing out good tidbits of information.
Yep. I did a quick little checkaroonie on it. But, you know, it's definitely not something checkerooni. Check a rooney, since we're making up things.
Yeah, I love it.
Words. Yeah. So I did. I just checked up a couple of things because I was just like, what is. What are we going to talk about it? And I mentioned it to one of my clients who's from Taiwan and family lives in China. And she said that even the Chinese culture has a history with the, you know, voodoo dolls. And she said that the. The emperor's concubines used to use the voodoo dolls to hex the other concubines because there was a bit of a competition there. And so she was like, in general, there are no good reasons to use voodoo dolls in China, or at least in her experience. And that it was actually when. When the belief system came around or the recognition came around. Is that it. It was really causing more harm to the person that was doing the hexing than the actual hexing on the other person. Which made me think, oh, that's interesting. You know, you're. That kind of ties in with some of our belief patterns about what you think is what you. What you produce, and not necessarily law of attraction and manifestation, but it is. Right. So I went and did this a little bit more, checking on it, and it really looked like what it started off as just a. It wasn't even. They weren't even dolls. They were representations of self. And it could have been a rock, it could have been a piece of wood. It could have been. And it just kind of morphed into these dolls at one point. But originally, from what I read, was that it really came from a person connecting to their deity and asking for either blessings or connections to their. To the dead for guidance and peace and resolution, or like being released from a connection to a person or something that they believe was bad for them. Then they would hang them in certain ways or position them in certain ways around the home, or they would use them as an emblem to have connection to energy. And it really wasn't to be even about influencing another person, either good or bad. It was really a way of cutting off, like, soul ties and cutting off connections to things that weren't good for you. So I'm not sure where that process switched over to where you were using it to perform hexes on people. And maybe it did come from the. From the movies. But at some point it must have switched over because I mean, I think if you look at, I think if you look at all religious beliefs or cultural practices, political beliefs and like lifestyle beliefs, you probably will find an element that sways to an either good intent or an ill intent. And whether the that's and how that is perpetrated on the people around you. I think that probably has happened in every realm of every belief system.
Yeah, the power of intention is amazing. That's one of the things that's fascinating. Just thinking about the voodoo doll. It's just, you know, clearly when you see it in the movies there, you know, there's a lot of input put into, you know, what they want, what their desires are, all that stuff. But so the way one of the things I read about it too, just thinking about intention is it's an, it helps as an amplification of intention. So it either as specifically as for a symbolic tool to amplify our direct ones intentions. And so it could be a thing or a person or whatever, but somehow, you know, just putting that intention into it, what it is you're, you're going for, it helps and maybe at a subconscious level even build more of representation of, you know, that at a deeper level. And so that intention just builds and.
Gets bigger and bigger.
And so intentional is also channeling energy. One intention is energy, right. So if you're hoping to cultivate that intention and build it, then that energy gets bigger. And so, and then of course, you know, action follows, right. If your intentions are big enough, you have to have that action to kind of activate it just kind of went on it off, off beat there a little bit.
But yeah, yeah, and I know like no, no, it makes sense. I think it is power of intention and what you're. Well, and when you brought it up, I was like, oh, this kind of reminds me of the argument and controversy around quantum entanglement and the big, you know, division of hard science and, and woo woo. And we all know how I like to see how science and woo woo mix up together. And what used to be woo is now considered science. I mean Einstein, who was it, what.
We was been around way before science, right?
Yep, yep. And so I, I don't, I don't necessarily like, you know, consider myself a master of that by any means either. I can barely make it through a quantum physics article without having to read it twice. But you know, it's still something that is intriguing and interesting and you know, in the, the big argument in quantum entanglement is how Deep does it go or how, how much of an effect we can have? As, you know, human beings, like when they're doing the studying of particle that is split and then separated by a large distance and you, you do one thing or a measurement, or you change the spin of this one part of the particle, immediately the other particle is affected. There's a lot more to it than that. It's quite more. It's quite complex. But that's the basic of it, right? And so then there became a lot of the questions and studies, which I think there's valid points on both sides. There's only so much that sometimes science can do. And I think the whole point of science too is to stay open and keep asking the what ifs and be, be aware that we don't always know everything. I mean, there's arguments among Einstein and several other scientists around quantum entanglement that, you know, they didn't understand. And what basically they came down to was when we don't know everything, there's always going to be a pro. An area that we don't know the, the facts around, right? And I think when we get into like, confusing areas of power of intention or metaphysics or law of attraction and manifestation and all the energetic connections we have, they are. There are some people that might be overstepping evidence, hard evidence of quantum entanglement and the power of intention or the power that we have to affect things around us. However, there's a lot of stuff out there that we just can't explain that are happening so that are real, real documented things that they can't explain one way or the other, the other. So I think we still have to leave our minds open to the what ifs and that we don't know everything and to just go forward with a positive. What did you say earlier? That, you know, you're gonna believe that there's just the positive potential for something coming out in the good. And I think I. Again, quantum entanglement gets really way over my head, but I find it fascinating and I find it intriguing. And there are things that have happened like you've, you know, there are. There are so many documented cases of mothers and children being separated across the world and something happening in a mother's intuition, you know, she just knows there's something going on, or twins, you know, having very parallel lives, even if they've never really met or lived in the same home. So there's little things like that that kind of get, get involved with the idea of quantum entanglement and the Effect we can have energetically on another person. The hard science only happens on a microscopic level. So there's an argument and discussions that are. There's a little science war between that because we don't know how to say how it works outside of a microscopic experiment.
Yeah, that's. I think that, you know, the amazing part, again, there's so much mystery to it. And so we don't know, like, when just a bridge. And like the idea of what we're talking about, about intention and quantum entanglement is so, you know, how does that marriage happen? Is there a connection to all of that? Like, you know, there's this nice mystery out there, but it's just important to realize that you know, that your actions, your intentions, those things that you do have greater impact than we can even imagine. And we're not even for sure how works. But, you know, Deepak Chopra says, the intention is the seed that creates the future. And I think that that's really, really cool for a fun little quote. And then Gandhi has another one that I loved is, your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. And your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny. And so earlier in a podcast, remember, we talked about the reticular activating system.
Yeah.
And so I think that some components like you, if you think about the component of intention, and so we start to have a certain intention and. And we start to put that energy and effort into that intention. What does it look like? What does it feel like? What do we want it to become? What is it now? Where's it going? And so, you know, we're directing that intention. And so that intention taps into that reticular activating system and is creating those filters. Right? And those filters are then filtering in more and more and more. And our attention builds and builds and builds, and then this energy is building even greater around all that. So again, the thoughts become your words, words become your actions, actions become your habits, habits become your values. Your values, because it's a building energy. And so what level, like, how big does that energy have to become? And, you know, building and refining that reticular activating system and then that role that it plays in that quantum entanglement. So it's like there's a little mystery there. And I love it. I love the fact that it's like, this is real. We know what our intentions can do and the power of our intention and the direction of our own lives, but then the direction of somebody else's life is and how that can be impactful. There's a really cool. I like, I like that note. I like kind of the mystery of it. But again, it's like proceed with caution again, only, you know, when you say something to somebody, when you're using those words, when you're using those intentions, is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind like just something as simple as that can be, you know, super impactful into changing the direction, you know, for someone did you know your.

And like you said, just those little words of, you know, I'm grateful for you or things like that. We don't know how it's all connected. We know it's connected. And woo woo, going back thousands of years ago, always knew it was connected. And you know, we talked about the idea of chi and you know, thousands of years ago the Chinese, you know, came up with the term qi. And it's this omniscient energy that's ingrained within every living thing. And it's the driving force behind every living thing. And now we know that there's a biomagnetic field, that the definition is pretty much the same. So it's like thousands of years ago it was woo woo and now science is here. So it's, it's fantastic. So this isn't even that woo woo to me compared to other stuff I've, I've looked into now, the voodoo doll obviously started out with this conversation just because I'm here in New Orleans. And I think it's pretty fascinating and it's kind of part of a cultural tradition you kind of have to look into. So it's kind of fun and playful, but like really like, like how powerful is that intention when you get so specific and it's like, okay, this, this doll is you and this is what I want it to do or this is what I want to let go of or, you know, it's, it's. We've accepted vision boards, right? Like vision boards aren't Woo woo anymore. And kind of like a different alternative, if you will, or a lateral move from like a vision board.
Well, I think it's funny. Einstein called the quantum entanglement spooky action at a distance. What is phrase?
Saw that?
Yeah. And I thought that was funny because even, you know, that's, that was Einstein's woo woo definition. But it was just that they couldn't explain it. And I think it drove them a little crazy. And actually, you know, I was listening to some critics of quantum entanglement and what they call quantum woo. And Deepak was one of their biggest people that they kind of politely, one of them politely, one of them not so politely were mentioning that maybe is overstepped. But I look at the impact of what he's done and the people that I think have been positively affected by him, then it's kind of that, hey, if it's, it's. It goes along with like a placebo, those things don't happen for real. And what Deepak teaches as a real thing, but it's also kind of one of those things that if it's a placebo effect and it makes you better and it does the thing without harm, then go with, if it works for you and that is something that is doing well for you, then I think that it's, it's. There's nothing wrong with it. And the placebo effect is scientifically proven. They don't even argue it anymore. That's. And then actually in a lot of medical approaches, they use it as a part of the plan because the power of our mind and our belief system is huge now. That again, is directed within and, and how it affects us. And, you know, manifestation people had to come back or, you know, specialists or people who kind of work on manifestation as their focus. They even had to kind of shift from the earlier phases where they were teaching manifestation to say, no, you cannot, you can't manifest a, a certain outcome with respect to a certain person. Like, you can't influence this woman that you want to have, be in love with and have a relationship with. You can't manifest her to do something for you. Right? So they had to kind of, you can set yourself up energetically within yourself to attract the type of person that you want. You know, again, it becomes back to the self directed. What we can create, what we can do within ourselves. Now how that resonates and connects out outside of us is reflective of just them. Like, go back to the TED Lasso thing, right? Like, you can be positive and kind and thoughtful but some people will receive it and some people won't. But you have the opportunity to affect people in a positive kind way if they're open to receiving it. And you can have a ripple effect of how those people treat people.
Yeah. Going back real quick to that placebo effect, that's, you know, the fact that we don't fight like it's, it's in every study, clearly. And it's not an argument of the, that it's real or not, but it, it's, we forget that it's very validating to a lot of complementary medicines, you know, statements is that the body has the ability to heal itself. And so I'm just kind of redirecting here because I just want to pause with that for a minute because that happens all the time, right. In that placebo effect. So again, it's a. Just a reminder of how powerful, like you said, the mind is. But for the body has the ability to heal itself is, is awesome. And if it has no side effects, go for it all day. But that placebo effect is very much, I think, one, I personally believe one of the big key components tapping into what you're saying is the intention, right? So if you're in a drug study and you're given a drug, and first of all, there's a lot of things that happen in that process. You're in a controlled environment, usually, not always, but usually. And then there's regular blood draws and you're taking this pill and they're, you know, you're going through lists of questions and checking for symptoms. And all of that is setting up that intention too. You know what I mean? It's all building and cultivating that energy. So it's not just, here, take a pill and we'll talk to you in a month. Right? There's a lot of, you know, other, other steps involved with it that's helping to cultivate and even get more specific with the intention on what's happening. And so all that is supporting, you know, certain beliefs or certain things that the mind is driven to and is looking at. And so I, I think that that building of that intention, you know, creates a much stronger placebo effect. Because I think it'd be interesting to do a study where you took participants and you didn't put any other intention into it. It's like, okay, we're going to give you a pill to fix this, right? And there's no other communication. There's no, you know, there's no blood draws, there's no questionnaires. There's no check ins. And how powerful would that placebo effect be in, let's say a month or three month time, whatever, compared to somebody who compared to a controlled group that had blood draws, that had more specific questions, that had more dialogue around the idea of this medication and what it's supposed to do and what your condition is. To me, I think hands down that placebo effect would be much greater because there's so much intention and dialogue and, and energy generated around it to really convince the mind and really tap deeper into it. I think it needs a lot more input.
Well, and they talk about that a little bit in some of the research around placebo effects and about how it's not just somebody convincing themselves. And obviously when you get a placebo in a medical experiment or research, you don't know that you're getting. You're taking something that you think is real. And so your brain is already doing this kind of ritual of I'm going to take this pill because. And the doctor told me that this was going to help with this thing. They've done studies on where they did. They designed a protein shake and they did. One group came in, or I think it was the same group for this people. I think they did two different time periods with the same group of people and they knew they were going to try these two different shakes, but then they were told, this one is the high fat, it's got a lot of calories, it's got this, this and this, and it's, you know, this much fat and calories in this, in this shake. And they did that for so many weeks. They didn't change anything else about their life or their diet or exercise or anything. They just did the shakes that were high calorie, high fat shakes. They all gained weight. Then the next round, they went through this time period. I don't know if it was eight weeks or 90 days or whatever, six months. But then the next round they went back and they got a shake that was supposed to help with their metabolism. It was lower calorie, low fat. It was helping burn calories. It helped with gut health. It was all very healthy. Alternate, you know, it was exact. And they, they went home and did the exact same thing. They, they added the shake in. They didn't change their diet, their exercise or their food. It was just that they were told to take this shake at this time of the day or whatever. They all lost weight. The shake that they were given was exactly the same.
It's amazing. So freaking cool. That's so Cool again, I guess just to show you the power of it and just for everybody listening today, that's the point of this conversation and all things good for you is the power of intention. And how you utilize your intention is extremely important. And honestly, I don't think that most of us spend the time actually putting intention to most of the things that we do. I feel like we are probably living in a more automatic world. Whether it's an intention on how you want your day to look, that's personally one where I spend a little more time with is just in the morning, closing my eyes and what I want it to look like, what I want it to feel like, how do I want to engage with everybody, how do I want to show up? You know, is. Is very cool. But even before you have conversations with people, before I have this conversation with View. So I think that to be more present and spending time in that attention can really help build an amplification of your intention, help channel more energy to it, help you give, have more focus and alignment and. And, you know, empower that mindset. I think it's extremely important to help cultivate a positive mindset and give you clarity and focus. And the more precise and thoughtful you are about it, right. The more you really put time and energy into it. Again, tapping back to that reticular, activating system that's a filter of the brain to only see those things that are built around that helps guide us. So I do really hope that it helps direct this. So getting into that visualization of it and having more clarity and being as specific as possible with setting up your intention before you go into an activity, before you go into your day, before you go into a conversation, whatever that is, can really, really, really be powerful for you and be life. Be transformative to your life.
Yeah, Yeah. I think that's, you know, something that when we started the podcast, you know, we just wanted to reach out to all the different areas of things that we are exposed to and what we're curious about for just being healthier and happier and just anything that was good for us. What did that look like? Whether. But what we find more and more is that we love all the tools and the experimenting and the experiences and the things that we do and the approaches to things. But you and I have found over the last couple years that.

And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease and Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence Chevrolet together let's drive.
All of that really revolves around the mindset and the focus and the drive of the person. It's what they're thinking, what their intentions are. And we keep coming back with even our different, slight different approaches and focuses for coaching our differences and similarities within our our hands on care for people that so much of it is going back to helping people understand what they think, what they focus on, what they choose to believe, what they direct their mind to focus on really is the biggest determiner of their happiness and their health and their success. And I think it is fascinating that you know, even when it's a trigger of a question around, you know, kind of the humor, what you were doing and not to insult anyone's belief process, but you know, we're getting voodoo dolls. Can we give ourselves massage with those?
Yeah. Yeah. All thanks. Good for you. Voodoo do dolls on sale now.
Well, and you wear it, you're wearing your new hat. You're a better human hat, which I think is awesome. I got one too. And maybe we need a better human voodoo doll.
I, I love it. Well, and just to talk about that hat for a second, you know, there's this hat that's a better human company and is is the name of it. But the hat on the side says rise above. And on the next and the next ones that I'm going to have, it's actually going to have my description of what rise above, you know, means to me and the reason it's there. And I'm sorry guys, my, my silent mode went off. My computer here is again building that intention. So I look at that hat and I see rise above. And it's just another thing to support, to support me and support my mindset and my intention on what I want to do, what I want to achieve, what I want to accomplish, what I want to. So you know, you're having one of those days. I'm just like, all right, I just remember that word rise above, rise above. And then I think about what it means to me. And so I think it's actually dangerous. And we. We're kind of living dangerously by not having the awareness and spending more time in putting intention around most of the things we do. Like, it's okay to, like, let it go and we can take a break and we don't have to do this. But I do think we're. We're living a little loose and I think we're missing a lot of opportunities. And I think you can find a lot more joy and a lot more enthusiasm and a lot more excitement and. And a lot more vibrancy and a lot more of everything, more abundance if you just took time and took. Even if it's three minutes, five minutes, like before you go do X, to spend that time thinking about it. What's. What's your intention on the outcome of it? So, like, ask yourself that.
Yeah, and setting yourself up for those things and just based off of like, kind of tying back into the. The ritualist things and the things we need ritualistic. That was a little sticky. But the conscious expectations and the unconscious expectations. Right. So we've got a conscious thing of like the vocals telling ourselves, focusing, writing it out, doing things that are, you know, more of a conscious effort, and then setting yourself up with unconscious triggers. Like, we have them naturally. Like you'll hear a song or you'll smell something or, you know, you hear someone's voice or whatever, and it triggers an emotional response or a memory. But that, I think was where we can tie in things like where maybe like in. In more spiritual basis. Like whether it's a crystal or a mug or a cross or a voodoo doll, whatever it be a hat, you know, a symbol on your door when you're walking through it. There's all these different things that it starts. Even if it is a consciousness in the beginning, it become. It can become an unconscious trigger for us to where repeated it enough times that we've created a belief pattern, we've created enough neural pathway connections in the brain that it's familiar to the point where it becomes almost an unconscious, subconscious process for us. But you can set it up. You've got to do it by design. If you're not designing it, you're probably being designed. Right. Sometimes it's life. Yeah, for us, but you have the option to do life for you as well. You get to pick a lot of the stuff that influences you if you're paying attention.
We are the architects.
Right.
We're our own architects. And we get to design it and build it. It's amazing. There's not one religion that I know of, and I'm just speaking of religions because of how powerful, you know, religions are. But, like, there's not one religion that I don't know of that has a mass amount of significant different rituals involved throughout the, throughout the religions. And those are significant because they are building intention with everything. So it's like, think about how many things they have to reinforce the intention to keep. Keep the mind directed, you know, in its purpose and in that direction to, to really build and to support everything that it's about. So that speaks loudly because, like, we have to look about what we're okay with in our lives that is already there to help build intention. And that's like a wait. I can design all of my own tools for my own intentions. We have that power. We have the power to make those decisions. We have the power, like you said, to architect our own lives. And we have the power to be able to sit down and design our own set of ritualistic things to build intention or, you know, mantras, or, you know, again, there's a million different things you can do, you know, as simple as, you know, the hat. So, you know, let's, let's all take the challenge on and at least give yourself, you know, time in the morning to, to architect your day. Right? It doesn't have to. You don't have to do it with every little thing. But, you know, what's your theme? What's your theme? What do you want? What do you want your next steps to look like? What do you want your next five years to look like? What do you want your next 10 years to look like? How's it smell? How's it feel? How's it, you know, what's the energy behind it? Is it happy? Is there joy? Is there? You know, get detailed, get specific. So. And have fun. More importantly, have fun, have fun and be grateful.
And, you know, just tying it up with. Going back to my shake analogy, and I don't know what that shake was and I don't know what the nutritional value was, and I don't know what that would do to people long term. But I do know that even with, like, my belief system, you know, when we sit down and say grace and, and over food, there is, there's a power of intention and a belief pattern behind that. But being grateful and looking at all of your food as a blessing and a gift and an enjoyment, not a guilt, not something to hide, not something to Shame yourself over not a guilty pleasure. Right. It's being intent with what you're eating and putting into your body, but also having gratitude and enjoyment for when you do get to eat something. Like, don't just blindly be shoving stuff in your face whether it's healthy or not, you know, quote unquote healthy. And just there's that, that conscious and unconscious process that you can be doing and you're being grateful and setting an intention over your food of I'm grateful for this. It changes how your body digests it and the stress level that it, it creates in your body or lack thereof. Right. You can do it with everything, whether that's food, exercise, work, relationships. Again, it's just that power of intention and what we have the ability to get clear on what we want and get the accountability and a process designed to implement those things.
