Hey Brian, how's it going?
Well, hello. Hello, Amy. How are you doing?
I'm doing very good. Happy Sunday. We're recording on a new day today. It's pretty exciting.
It is exciting. It's kind of nice, like to have a lot of fun and relaxation during a Saturday and Sunday and then looking forward to doing this and then with our extra special excitement that's going on today with this podcast. And I'm not going to tell anybody yet.
Don't give it away.
No, it's a secret.
Build up excitement.
But there is something exciting that's going to happen. Let's be very clear.
Yes.
You know, last podcast. I think it's our last podcast. On a previous recording, you said something very pertinent and I wanted to bring it up because it kind of ties into what we're going to talk about today. You had mentioned when we were talking about mindset and reframing and just kind of changing the way we look at things and changing your perspective of things. You had mentioned that your childhood was in many ways challenging and you had to learn to reframe and think about possibilities and situations and the way things were happening and what you could do with your life differently than maybe you had traditionally been presented with. But you said, you know, if you hadn't reframed some of those things that your life would look very different than it is today. And it made me think about that while we were kind of prepping for this podcast, because I've also had to do quite a bit of work in that area as well. And we both love our families. There's nothing there, but we both came from a different mindset, possibly, and my family was very different in the way that they think about things or do things. And maybe all children at some level do this kind of thing where they have to kind of get out of the way they were raised or their environment that they were in that was their traditional information on the regular basis. And they kind of have to think for themselves and discover for themselves. So it made me think about kind of what we're talking about today, where you get into these habitual patterns of behavior and why do we have these habitual ways of thinking about things in a certain way and responding to things a certain way? You know, and some people call that habitual behavioral paradigm controls. Right. So your paradigm controls your habitual behavior, and your paradigm being what your base beliefs were set from birth. And that all led into today's conversation about our subconscious beliefs.
First of all, I just want to say you said that very eloquently. And if my family's listening to this, nobody's going to be upset or feel like I'm finger pointing in any way, which we are not. I get nervous sometimes. I'm like, did I say this thing about. But yeah, I think that as a parent and having been raised and different people being raised in different mindsets, we have that epigenetic, which we've talked about before, conditioning in these filters and all of these aspects on how we see and filter stuff. And I love the way you put that. I think it was very beautiful. And the power of the subconscious mind is incredible. And I know that there's a lot of, you know, still a lot of studies going on in neuroscience and with brain studies on what is exactly subconsciousness and where does it reside and all that stuff.
And for.
So just to give our listeners, you know, there's a scale on how we move and depends on if you're looking at this from more of a neuroscience versus a metaphysical perspective. But the one thing I can tell you for sure that I feel a hundred percent about is we all have a subconsciousness. And it is very important to be able to learn how to view it, see it, have dialogue with it, interact, and really tap into it. And so I'm really excited to discuss it today.
Yeah. And thank you for pointing that out, because that's such a good reference and to just say, yes, we've been studying the subconscious mindset and things for a long time. I mean, goodness, when did the book Think and Grow Rich come out? Wasn't it, like, written in the 30s or the 20s or something like that?
Yeah.
I mean, a lot of what he talks about in there is basically what we're using more today now for subconscious belief and kind of reframing and rethinking things. And I think now as science and psychology and philosophy and all of these things are becoming more intertwined and we're getting better at studying the deeper parts. And as we. Our technologies grow and we learn more about our brain activity, it's so nice. And we don't do this on purpose, but I love how every time I went to our podcast, I have this moment where I like, it all ties together. And it's so great.
It ties.
Whether you want to take it from the metaphysical or the science or the psychology side of it, there's something to be taken away from it, like you said. And so just whatever comes up in today's conversation, we hope everybody just absorbs something and maybe sparked with something to have them thinking of a deeper process, however you want to go with that. But on that note, we get tired of talking to just us. Right?
Are we tired of talking?
Yes.
I want to talk to what's exciting.
I want somebody else on here.
I do, too. I'm kind of tired of talking to you, Brian. No, I'm just kidding. We have a guest today.
We have an amazing guest, and I would like to introduce her. Her name is Christy Taylor, and she is a dear friend of mine, and she is a serial entrepreneur. She is also the founder of True Fit20 and Hearts of Humanity Productions. Christy just finished working on the Imagination Project and is now launching a movement called Love Ignites Peace, which, first of all, how can you not just love that name? She's also a SRT coach, which is a acronym for Subconscious Release Technique. So, obviously we're bringing her on for many reasons, but we want to have her jump into this conversation and talk about Subconscious Release Technique and just dive into some of the dialog about subconsciousness. I mean, I would like to make a little clear definition on consciousness and subconsciousness, but for her to jump in with some dialogue. And we want to really make sure our listeners leave here with not just the power and the knowledge, which knowledge is power, of course, of knowing a little bit more about what subconscious is and why. It's important to learn how to tap into that and to make sure everybody's leaving with some fun tips and tricks on how to start intermingling with their subconscious a little bit more.
Yeah.
So welcome, Christy.
Hey. Hey.
Hi, you guys. Thank you so much for having me.

You're welcome. Thanks for joining us.
This is exciting. I love what you guys are doing. I mean, absolutely. All good things. Like, I am thrilled. I am very humbled for you to be asking me to be here today. So thank you.
Thank you for joining me, taking the time. Yeah, absolutely. So if you don't mind, both of you guys, I would just start, like, when I was thinking about this conversation, I just wanted to get to some. Some bare bones as far as when we talk about subconsciousness. Just like, what is subconsciousness? So defining consciousness just quickly here to understand and kind of dive into that. So consciousness, from a quick definition here is perceiving or apprehending or noticing with a degree of control thought or observ the quality or state of being aware, especially with something within oneself. So sub, the prefix is below, right? So sub is below. So subconsciousness would be below consciousness. And it is more defined as mental activities just below the threshold of consciousness existing in the mind, but not immediately available to consciousness. So let's just dive into a little bit more of how your. Our perspectives on what we know and what we've researched and what we practice about subconsciousness and let it roll from there.
I mean, I just think it's absolutely hilarious that it's below right, because it's like our number one thing that's running. I mean, 90 to 95% of the way that we think, believe, feel, and perceive the world is based on our subconscious behavior. So the mind is absolutely fascinating to me. All of that that we consciously want to do is 95% ran by the subconscious mind. So it's funny that you say below, right? Like, that's just hilarious to me.
I appreciate you pointing that out because that is truly the definition from like, Webster's Dictionary. And I just wanted to bring that up. But to point that out, that's. You're absolutely right. It is mind blowing to think of it in that light. So good perspective.
It is great. It's definitely not a subcategory in our life, is it? Pretty high priority. We don't pay a lot of attention to it. We kind of tuck it away in the background. It's just always running. It's running in the background.
Sounds like something we should reframe, right?
It is mind blowing. Let's just say that I thought maybe.
Brian would have a car analogy here for us.
I'm sorry, I was just thinking about how that, like, clearly. Yes, I'm sorry, I was in my head a minute here. Just from our last podcast about reef reframing, like we. That's something we need to reframe is how we see our minds and put. Subconsciousness is like that priority and like knowing again, just intermingling that. So let's back up so I can pay attention to that a little bit more.
Well, and I wouldn't even say it's not even our priority. I think, you know, I've become like invested and so passionate about discovering the mind and how much of it is what we would call programming. Just like a computer, right? Everything that you're collecting. So the statistics are actually in your young years. So back to children between the ages of 0 and 8. We formulate 80% of our subconscious mind based on experiences and things that happen during those ages. Then between 8 and 13, we get another, say, 5%. Studies vary on that. Between 13, 13 and 18, you get another 2%. And then the rest of your life after 18, you get a fluctuation of what, 3 to 5% of how you formulate your beliefs about the way that the world works. That's crazy. That's crazy. Because if we all think back to what happened between the ages of 0 and 18, for some of us, I would say for a vast majority of people, we don't even remember some of those years. Right? And that's when your mind is being formulated. And Albert Einstein quotes, the mind field is the sole governing agency of the body. Okay. Right. So now we start to connect subconscious mind to dis ease. Right? And this is where I got fascinated in health. And this is why I'm so excited to talk to you guys today. Because I just think mind is governing everything. It is governing our health, our wellbeing, our life, our vitality. It is everything I started my adventure with first myself, right? Self love, self care, and discovering my own dis ease and my own journey of feeling anxious and depressed and fat and unhappy and Lonely and all the things that I think a lot of people can relate to. Right.
Brings us up to the area that it usually does come from something within ourselves. Right. We have to look at it from our own perspectives. And then it's something that inspires us to help somebody else. So it's always a good place to start with ourselves.
And such a trigger to activate. A lot of people end up where they're supposed to end up because of, well, the stuff that's happened in their life situation. So it's cool that you've gone down this path to dive deeper into that something you said though, Christie, that this is really, really interesting on how the subconscious mind is. We develop all of that at such an early age. Just think about how much we've learned now with certain things that were happened earlier on, how they were not necessarily the right things or we discovered and have more information now to see them in a different light. So they've evolved. But how is it that the subconscious mind, like from what's programmed when you're younger and stored in there in that data bank, if you will, of experiences and all that stuff, how it doesn't really get an update. Like when you use the computer analogy, we constantly have to update our computers, right. So that it synchronizes and operates at a much higher level and that we get rid of the fragmentation and the bugs, so to speak. But we don't have these automatic updates necessarily for what's been programmed in the subconscious mind from an early age. So like just stopping and going, whoa. Like, how can I reprogram right now? So I don't know, just the computer analogy and what you were saying, just hit me. Hit me with that a little bit.
Well, it's so correct. And I was so frustrated with this early in my journey. Actually, one of my clients is a for True Fit20 workout client. He is Greg Lester. He wrote the book of personality disorders, the DSM 5.
Huge.
Right. And I said to Greg, I was so frustrated in this journey of why do we record fear? I don't understand why we have lack mentality. I don't want to understand why we limit ourselves. Why do we just only record the stuff that was negative in our lives and not positive? And you know what he said? He said it is survival that is easy. That is how we survive. And we prioritize safety over everything.
Looking to get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away and With Silverado, EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tower with ease. That's how we keep ourselves safe. So we focus on the negative, right? We watch the news. We. Negative news breeds fear. We watch it, we stay aware of it because we want to protect ourselves and we want to survive. And it's that simple. So the mind is there to record that, you know? But sadly, the fear. Hormones, when you guys talk about hormones in the body, right? Elicits from the hypothalamus, in the brain, cortisol and histamines. So when we talk about stress hormones and we talk about histamines, allergy reactions, right? Brian, you can speak more to what that does in the body in later episodes, but they're negative, right? And so they bring us down. And in fact, this whole conversation is going. We can all feel it, like the frequency is shifting us down to this place where we don't want to be, and that is our subconscious mind working against us. Right? And so I just made it my mission and my passion to try to learn and help clients go into the positive. Right? But to first do that, we have to understand where that negative programming is coming from. Right?
Yeah.
You know, I may have referenced this book before at a different podcast, but it's. And there's been lots of studies based off of this filming that was done where they studied a mom and children and babies in rooms and then had them come in and leave and interact and leave and kind of watching the reactions of these infants. And the book, the Soul of Shame, was a big impact book for me. And he talks about a scenario, and I'm going to kind of just generalize it. I'm not going to verbatim it for the book, obviously, but he talks about a scenario where imagine yourself. Imagine an infant, a baby who's learning to roll, and they're on a blanket in the living room, and mom's in the other room, just in the kitchen preparing something, and Dad's walking in and out of the house, and mom and dad have had a fight, and baby's rolling. Mom's got anger energy, Dad's kind of got some anger energy. And baby rolls off the blanket. Mom's kind of frustrated with dad as he walks in and they say something, they exchange some anger words, and mom just grabs baby and puts him back on the da da. On the blanket and then walks away. What they said, what the study showed, is that that child, that baby then automatically based off kind of like what you were saying, Christina. We have that reptilian based brain where when we're born, we're just trying to make sure we're surviving. We're still in that phase of I need mom to feed me and I need protection and I need clothing. And moms are usually the most involved in that realm. So that's why those early studies were done with just moms and babies. But he's like even just the dilation difference of the mother's eyes to the baby and that the baby didn't recognize because it didn't have the conscious ability to say, well, mom's mad at dad or whatever. Baby took it as a threat to his safety. So right at that moment, that child learned to have a fear state. And because it's so significant, Right. It has to be. You know, we talk about changes of the brain and the effects of the brain. The stuff has to be either super repetitive or very impactful. And at that point it's very impactful because that baby is very heightened to what's going on with mom or dad or surroundings to be surviving. And so at that very moment it gets a level of what the book was referencing to as a layer of a shame or fear based. But you could take that as a subconscious level too. I mean, we're at that moment, we're just already picking up on approval and disapproval from our parents or from our environment.
Well, and what we're doing is we're really shaping what we call our limiting beliefs. Right. And so these limiting beliefs are what the srt, one of the techniques that I use to help people process these lack mentalities are looking back in these ages and saying. And it really takes a deep dive sometimes for people, right. To say, what happened to you that caused this idea? Okay, so let's just take. There's a very basic limiting belief that we pretty much, I believe, all run, which is I'm not enough. Okay. So let's just say that baby scenario is happening and he's rolling around. And that belief is I'm not important enough. They don't care about me. I'm alone in this world. I don't know what that is until I deep dive with somebody and figure out what that is. Because it's different for everyone, right? And they've done these cool studies, scientific studies around the world where they've showed twins, like identical twins going through the same, same growth process, the same parenting, the same things at the same time, and having two totally different outcomes. Okay, let's just take a very basic one of mom and dad getting divorced during their young childhood. You know, one identical twin can go off and say, I'm going to find the person I'm going to love and I'm never going to get divorced. And then the other one goes off and says, I'm never going to trust another person, whatever it is, man, woman. Right again. And I'm never going to get married. And I don't trust marriage at all. And that happens. We don't get to decide what our subconscious brain records, but what we can do through SRT is we can determine what those recordings are, determine what that programming is, what those limiting beliefs are. And then through breath work, which is said to take it across the blood brain barrier and attaching it to emotions. Because emotions, I mean, to quote another person right now, Greg or Bruce Lipton, God, he is just absolutely one of my favorites. He says the worst thing that we do to our kids is we tell them not to feel. Feelings and emotions are your compass. Okay, that's huge, right? And I listened to, gosh, who was it the other day? It was like Liz Gilbert. And she said, you know, a lot of what we're doing in our younger years is we start shaming ourselves. And that's again, this lack, this limit, right? We start shaming. And so what was interesting to me about what she said was she said men shame themselves for emotions. Right. Boys don't cry.
Right.
And then women shame themselves for body. Isn't that fascinating? So most often, and I'm not going to say all the time, but most often when I'm working with men, I'm working on vulnerability, you know, that they just don't have that ability to be vulnerable. And then when I'm working with women, I would say a lot of the time I'm working on sex and body and weight loss. Right.
Interesting, right.
I need to go back to something, first of all, that's very fascinating. I just going back to like the survival mode, fear and survival instincts. I still just wonder. It seems like a vicious cycle and I think the subconscious has so many beautiful parts to it. I know we're talking about, like, things that have happened that are recorded and we can't determine and tell it what to necessarily record growing up. But it still seems like, what the heck is it with, like, we still crave, like, clearly by what's on TV and what's being put out there. If people didn't crave drama, then we would be publishing and producing content that is very different than what's being produced and published today. So there's still this weird craving for stuff, but yet that puts us in a fear cycle of survival mode. So it's kind of like we're in this conundrum, this, this like crazy cycle. And like, what part is, where does that come from? Why do we crave still this horrible drama to yet put us back in a fear cycle of survival? It just bizarre to me.
It is bizarre, but it is just that. It's because it's how we survive. And we have to survive, right? We don't survive on love, which is so sad. And that's part of what the Imagine project and Love Ignites Peace are all about is going back and starting to. The Imagine project comes in and helps kids process stress and trauma at a very young age by saying, what's good in your life, what's hard in your life? And how do you imagine it? Because it's using that conscious brain. That conscious brain is so fascinating. Even though it's only 10% of what we run. It is the creative, it's the inspiring. It's where we find aspiration. And so if we can imagine things, then we can start to, you know, I hate to say the, the woo word of manifesting, right? But that is where we create. And I said to somebody earlier this week, I said, you know, is the secret really secret anymore? I mean, we all know that if we put out good stuff, we get good stuff back, right? You want to call it karma or reaping what you sow or like and, or, and, or, and or put it in your own words, you know, just like universe, God, Buddha, whatever you want to call it, I don't care. Higher power, right? The more to you. But what you can do with your life is you can create it, right? And that was my big aha moment. Was like, wait, hang on. And I was in total victim mentality. I will never forget the day when one of my favorite coaches of all time, Todd Campbell, shout out to him, called out at me on stage and said, you are recreating your story over and over and over again through your subconscious programming.
Good, nice.
And I was like, what? I lost. This was in my 20s, and I had lost my dad and my brother as a child. So my programming was fear of loss. Fear of loss, of love, right? So I didn't really get close to anybody, boyfriends, husband, whatever, right. Because of that innate fear that they were going to eventually leave, right? Because that's what my dad and my brother did. They left. So that was my programming. I didn't know it was my programming, but when he told me that I was recreating it and that I wanted to stand in that victimism, I wanted to hold onto it and say, yes, this happened to me. Don't take that away from me. That's my identity. That was my identity.
Hey guys, it's Brian. I just wanted to take a pause for a moment in the middle of this podcast to thank our sponsors. Ouch, who's helping to make this podcast possible today. Isn't that sad?
Oh that's it exactly. Like it becomes your identity. It not only becomes your conscious identity but it becomes a hormonal feed. It becomes like your your body is used to that comfort level of this is who I am and this is how I generate so it releases.
Looking.
To get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away. And the flows of our body at just the right time to kind of keep us in that state and pushing us out of that state is uncomfortable and scary. Puts us back into that fear mentality of. This is unusual. This is strange. I'm just going to go here, even though it kind of sucks to be here, but this is what I know. Correct.
So we need to use the tools, because there's a lot of tools out there, obviously, to tap into that subconscious mind, but just to so kind of that reptilian brain. I still have to go back to this. I'm sorry, I can't let it go of going back to the fear. And we're creating our own vicious cycle with putting ourselves in the situation where we are in survival mode. It's almost like the reptilians kind of feeling of purpose is survival. And so we obviously need much more purpose than survival to thrive. And so we need to really tap into that subconscious brain, that extra 10% of creativity and intuition and, you know, all that aspect, to really put the focus, put the spotlight on those positive things, cut out all the noise of all those other things that we're telling ourselves, all those voices inside. So really being the observer, which we've mentioned before, be the observer and tap into that stuff. So therefore, we are moving and shifting purpose from survival to purpose to something much greater.
Great.
Yeah, go ahead. I was going to ask you, Christy, like, how did that work for you? Like, when you're on the stage and somebody's yelling back to you and you're thinking, I'm going to change my story, how did that work?
I mean, it's a long shifting process. There is no quick shift in that regard. Right. But it hits you deep inside, and it hits you so deep that you are like, wow, what story have I been living? You know, Gregg Braden says, who are we? But the stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves, and that's our story, and at any point we are open and willing and wanting to change our. So why can't we just do that? Right? Why do we make it so hard? It shouldn't be this hard. But I believe that it's because of this lack mentality that's feeding 95% of the way that we think about the world. So that's why I love this tool of srt, which is a breathing technique that you do over the phone. A coach helps you figure out what those limiting beliefs are and then takes you through a set of negative emotions and then also through a set of positive emotions that help release that very limiting belief because the emotion is what attaches it, and then it gives us the freedom. And they're very small shifts. I mean, just like what you said, Amy, like, how do you do that? I mean, it's been years for me of trying to find people and tools and things to recreate my story, right? And that's what I love about the Imagine Project is it's a journaling process. You can go to the imagineproject.org and download the journal for free. We have kids, we have adults, we have teens on there, and any teacher can do it. This is a nationwide. In fact, I think we just hit something like 60 to 70 countries that are downloading this tool now and doing it in their classroom, where they are taking kids through this step of recognizing what their stress and trauma is early so that they can let go of the energy behind it. And energy is all things, right? Energy is life. Without energy, there's no life. You know, it's beautiful.
That is so great. So we've talked about it before in some of the other podcasts as far as like, just mindset and then hormone cascading and. But Brian, kind of like what you were talking about. Why do we keep seeking those situations out? And we have to also recognize that all these situations, it seems like it's easy. It should be easy, like you said, Christy. But even for healthy, like, you know, we don't have anything that's happened to our brain processes. We haven't had something that maybe has damaged areas of our brain. Just with a healthy mind and a healthy brain and healthy body, it's so difficult to step out of that unconscious processing that you say something, you do something, this happens. You know, we're very stuck in a result space world. Like, we're not really going backwards and thinking, okay, I want this, and now I'm feeling this, and now why do I feel this? And, you know, self reflection, self awareness, that's even challenging for somebody in a healthy state. But if you've got something from maybe you had a birth defect or maybe perhaps there was some drug abuse in there or an injury of some sort or repetitive concussions, There are processes in your brain that don't necessarily help let you go into that process. Self awareness, like asking yourself why I feel this is very scary for a number of people. And I think what is intriguing about the Imagine Project and like Brian and I have talked about in our childhoods and how we want to be able to make an impact for people, especially the younger generations, it's like What a wonderful thing that you're allowing children to have a space where they're learning to just be okay, to think about how they feel and not be trapped in this is how I feel drama land. But understanding that these feelings are there for a reason. And what are they?
Well, what is so fascinating and so phenomenally cool about what you're talking about is when Diane and I first started going into schools and doing this with classrooms, we were a little bit afraid that we were going to cause bullying or what was it going to do with the whole bullying situation? And absolutely flabbergasted and fascinated that it was the opposite. It cultivated compassion, which is so interesting. And that's what love Ignites Peace is all about. It's understanding that everybody has a story, right? And looking at other people with a sense of compassion and going, I wonder what their story is. Instead of, that jerk just cut me off in traffic, it's, wow, I bet he's having a bad day. I bet he's had a hard life, right? And so when we can start to uncover and unmask a lot of these things that have to do with the mind and how great and huge the mind is, I think we can actually start to create a better humanity. I mean, that's a big statement, but I really do. I really think if we can all start to understand that everyone has this subconscious mind that has taken in all of this lack and limit and fear and negative emotions and negative feelings, and that's what we're running on. If we can all start to understand that and try to have the tools to overcome that, then I think we can create a better world. I really do. I really believe that.
So I commend you first, because I think that, you know, again with the Imagine project, especially going back to that is we all have, when we're kids, have a foundation of where our parents happen to be in their own conscious evolution, if you will. And obviously, that creates our environment, which we are fed. And some of that obviously is based off the times, you know, just their awareness, their upbringing, how, you know, all of my watch just started talking what they were taught, their own mindset, their own beliefs, their own subconscious behaviors. And so to be able to teach somebody at a younger age or give them more tools or give them exposure to this other stuff is an amazing platform of where things need to start from, because some of us were doing the best we can at that time. And then later we realize, oh, my gosh, I could have done so much better based off of where we are with our own evolution. But we're here to help. I believe we're here as a parent, as a human being on this planet, just to help with the evolution of consciousness. And that is that deeper understanding of breaking subconscious patterns and to teach kids and to expose them at that, you know, young of an age, I think is where it all starts. Just like the focus on educating kids with everything else, math and stuff is so important because if your foundation was different than what it was and there was a higher conscious evolution involved in that, then you would be X above that faster and so forth. But it's a big task, for sure. We can see where we're at in today's world. And we're not the first people to ever talk about this. And there's a million books out there on this. And it's a big undertaking. So it starts with each individual, right?
And it's so funny that you keep saying evolution because have you ever looked at the word evolve? It literally has love in it backwards. Like five times.
Yeah, love it.
And I do believe that we're up against fear versus love. I really do. And I think that when we can change our mindset into more of a love mindset, we get the good hormones, we get the dopamine, the oxytocin, the growth hormones, we get the good stuff, right? We live more joyful lives. Listen, I always give people the example of my journey, right? My journey was that I would wake up every day with a little. And I had a happy life. I didn't have a bad life. I really didn't feel like I was a victim, right? But owning a business, I mean, Brian, you can relate to this. Amy, you can relate to this. You wake up in the morning and I was just succumb with all these things, fears about like, who's going to quit, is the money going to come in, what client's going to be mad at me today, how am I going to overcome that, right? And so that was my lack mentality. And through my growth process of getting the tools to help me understand that that was not the life worth living, that was just creating more anxiety, right. Than I needed. And so the tools helped me to get to a state where now I wake up in the morning and I'm grateful. I am so. I have such a joyous life. I am so grateful for everything that is around me. And those are my first thoughts. Like, I love that. I love that that shift has happened and I want to create that for everyone else.
And so let me ask you, you're saying the tools. Are you talking about the journal that you have that you recommended or are there some other things that you want to tell us about?
Well, and connect with us. Right. I mean, I think you're a life coach, health coach too. Like there are so many tools first. And Brian, you have to connect with your health first.
Right.
And your body and the vessel that is taking us through this. And I think through doing that we come to a self awareness. And when we come to self awareness, maybe eventually we come to self love. And self love has to do with maybe this subconscious mind and figuring out what your limiting and lack beliefs are and then going through subconscious release technique, which is a breathing tool that's done over the phone with a coach to help navigate and figure out what these are and release the energy that is behind these for you. So hopefully that they're. It's not that they're voided forever, it's just that they don't have energy anymore. They no longer belong to you.
Looking to get out there and feel the in your hair Chevy EVs have you covered like the Blazer EV with bold style that's sure to you away. And with Silverado EV towing is a breeze with the capability to hitch up and tow with ease. And Equinox EV helps you keep moving along like with confidence. Chevrolet together. Let's drive.
Yeah.
And you don't have to attach them. And then you have to quickly do the affirmations and the beliefs about the world that you want to create and do the imagine project so that you do set yourself in an intention setting or an imagination or a vision process of what do you want? Because you can grasp that.
So I've done the SRT with Christy personally and I just have to tell you that from my experience, there's, you know, obviously a lot of tools because whether it's creativity or meditation or limiting negative self talk and having more positive self talk or vision boards, whatever, there's so many tools. But the srt, the nice thing about about it is that you have somebody there to listen to you. And Christy did an amazing job in such a quick time. I mean I was actually amazed how quickly she found out some things and what some of my programming was quickly got there and is such a good listener and so humble. And once she got there.
Thank you.
Really.
Yeah, you're welcome. And I mean it. But super comfortable place. And then I was in my own comfort of my own house or at my office a couple times. One time actually, I'm not gonna lie I was in the parking lot because I was doing errands. I'm like, oh my God, I can't miss my SRT meeting. And I was still able to completely relax in a frickin parking lot. But it's passive, yet active. But like, for instance, meditation is a really active thing for people that can be really challenging. The SRT had this blend of a little passive activeness for me where I was involved, but I could let go. And let's let, let her kind of guide me down that path. And literally I just had to hear what she was saying, breathe and exhale when she told me to and kind of repeat what she said in my head. But you feel super light. Like I felt like a ton of weight was lifted off my shoulders afterwards. So even though I've meditated for a fair amount of time and I've done visualizations and I, I've done some of these other things, I definitely felt like there was a layer that was like peeled back. So that's my thank you, Brian.
And what I would say the most is like, thank you for being vulnerable because that's really what it takes to do this work is that sense of vulnerability. You know, it's a harsh question when somebody asks you, okay, you're recognizing that you're doing this now and that's providing unhappiness. So let's look, let's deep dive into your childhood and see where that program comes from. Because nobody wants to shame their parents or shame their younger years, right? You know, we all have great and wonderful things to put out there. God, my mom, she is such a blessing in my life. Like I would just like to say that first and foremost, right. That she was our guide, she was our gift in this world. So I have so much gratitude for her. So there is nothing around this business where I want to talk about. It's all negative, right? But it's about finding those things that are making us live in lack, you know, fun examples. Like we have a client that she couldn't stand to be anywhere loud, she couldn't stand noise, she couldn't be in social situations, she couldn't go to concerts, she couldn't be outside. It was just like she just really needed to be introverted. She really needed to never be in relationship with anybody and to really hide away in her house and work from home. And that was perfectly safe for her, right? And so when we get to the basis of that, what that was, that was a unhealthy sibling when she was young that screamed and Got all the attention and was loud all the time in the household. And she felt like she needed to constantly go and make everything better and soothe the situations and soothe between dad and child. And she didn't want to do that anymore. I don't blame her.
Right?
So what we do is as we grow, we don't know where those programs come from, but we just isolate, right? And she didn't know why she was isolating. So it can be a beautiful process to figure it out, because then the next step is that she lets go of that and she goes, okay, that's not happening anymore. So I'm not going to create that anymore in my life. And now I can actually go into social situations. And maybe I do want a relationship, but maybe I do want to go work at a corporate job. So that's cool. I like that.
That's amazing. So really, we need to start, like, again. Just to recap for our listeners out there is we all have a subconscious mind, and part of tapping into it is to remove some of the programs, especially the ones that are limiting beliefs or limiting us from growth and our potential. So finding ways to remove those blocks so that we can evolve and move on, while also tapping into more of the positive, yummy juiciness that is in our subconscious mind. You know, the creativity and the intuition and all those other things. And there's a lot of tools out there, SRT being one of the amazing ones. Would that be fair assessment? I mean, I know we can.
Oh, such a fair assessment. But that is one of the tools, and I love that tool and I use that tool. There are so many. I mean, if you're interested in it, become passionate about it. LoveIgnitesPeace.com is going to, in the very near future, list resources to help people overcome all things and you find your path. And I am more than happy to be a connector in this field if it's not srt. There are so many things out there. Insight. My friend Todd that I spoke about before runs an amazing program, the Books in the World. Bruce Lipton, my favorite. Absolutely love him. Joe Dispenza is another one. Greg Braden's another one. These are the masters in talking about mind in my mind, right? And so I would just say get interested, get passionate about it. Read about it in life coaching. It was so fascinating. And interestingly enough, I would like to make this one last point. When I first started doing coaching, it was all about the tools that we understood were that people lacked in relationships, right? And we had this more, more, more More mentality where we would put people in buckets and we would say okay, where's your spiritual bucket, your emotional bucket, your physical bucket and your mental bucket. Right. We would have them rate all those buckets, buckets and we would always end up in this mental fiscal bucket. Right? Like, and not to throw men under the bus, Brian, but you men, when you put it, that's okay, fine, fine.
Throw me under the bus.
When we threw all those numbers, we gave you 10 points to put in all those buckets. Most men were like 8 to 10 in the mental bucket, right. So what they were lacking was relationships. And when we say spiritual, we say connection or community, whatever that is for you doing something other than work. Right. How you are helping the world. And then the physical is the exercise, the nutrition, the things that we all know most. And so we would say, OK, so you are putting all 10 in your mental bucket. So let's figure out how we can put evenly in all the buckets. And that is how we create balance. Right. And so when we did that as a coach, what we found was that people always needed to work on their relationships. Like that was the biggest thing was working on connection. How do I connect with another human being? But what's fascinating right now, and I don't know what's changed, I really don't understand it, is that people want purpose.
Yeah, yeah. There's a big message. There's a big message over the last 10, 20 years about what our purpose is and finding our meaning and our matter. Right. And I like that you're, how you're talking about the buckets and talking about, you know, we can't always have every bucket full all the time. And so you really have to take a period of time and fill those buckets and then look back and say which one is being neglected and right. With all of this, to just step in with a little bit of self compassion, recognizing that what you're feeling and thinking, experiencing is not definitive of your entire being yourself. Right. I mean the whole point of what we're saying is that there are some underlying belief patterns and systems reactions and habits that you may have picked up, learned, been taught. Side note, it's not your parents fault. They're probably just doing the best they can and most of those things they didn't even know were happening. So don't blame your parents anymore.
Hold that thumb. Don't point the finger.
Hold the thumb.
Don't point the thumb.
Yes, let's not, let's, let's not blame or shame anybody in this world anymore. What you want to understand from all of it is what were my programming? What was my programming coming out of this? What am I carrying through in life based on this experience that happened? It's not blaming or shaming. It's just understanding where it's coming from so that we can reshape it.
Yeah. And then even on like moment to moment times, like recognizing or asking yourself, is this true? Is this real? And if it's not true, like, okay, maybe this happened or maybe it did happen, Is it happening right now and is it happening? Is there something you can do to change that? Can you look at something? If it's something you want to change about your life or your choices or your income, is somebody else in the world that you know of done it, why can't you do it? You know, what's holding you back from achieving or having and experiencing the things you want in life? Yeah.
I don't even know that people really know how unhappy they are. I don't really know that people have a conscious understanding of their unhappiness because we're so bred with this. More, more, more, more. Right. So we're constantly making strife towards more money, bigger jobs, bigger cars, bigger homes, when the happiness comes from somewhere else. But we keep thinking that it's going to come from there. So I would really just question our audience or ask you to do it is just to sit back and close your eyes and say, am I truly happy in the life that I'm living right now?
Yeah. I think asking those questions and cultivating, listening to that inner self, to be honest with you, I have been working on myself for a long time. And there's times like recently I just discovered that I still have to figure out like even a little bit deeper of what that feeling is. And just listening to my inner self even more. And also I'm learning how to celebrate certain things. Like when you do recognize something and you do have an epiphany and you want to change it, like give yourself kudos and pat on the back because that's like putting a flag down. And you've been there now, you know, so one is kind of cultivating that and listening to yourself and wanting to move forward and to learn about these other things, but also celebrating the fact that you are moving that ball forward. And even if it's 1% or 10%, it's a success. And make sure you reward yourself.
Celebrating the wins. Amen. Like love that you have to do that. You have to give yourself recognition for the good things in life again, going back to those higher frequencies, higher vibes. Absolutely.
Christy, if somebody wanted to know more about SRT, where should they go?
So you can go to truefit20.com you can also go to loveignitepeace and find me through there.
And it's true fit.
Fit20.Com I think Brian said he's going to put it in the information below this podcast. Yeah. As well as, as well as our new movement, loveignitespeace.com it is going to have resources of all likes that will be listed there and SRT will be listed there as well.
Thank you for being such a contributor to the podcast, but to bring an awareness to everybody in regards to this, it's such a huge thing and there can't be enough of it.
