[Test] 💰 Get Funded! Founder Interviews by Serac Ventures 🚀 07-11-2024

Serac Ventures tests Switchboard Live, a platform that broadcasts one stream to multiple social networks at once. The test successfully reached Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, though LinkedIn and Instagram need fixes. The weekly "Get Funded" series launches Friday with an interview with Todd, founder of Crafted.

sites at the same time. So I'm just testing out the platform. I'm gonna try to start using it for my Get Funded Office Hours series on a weekly basis every Friday. But before I go live tomorrow, I just wanted to do a quick test stream to see if, uh, it works, how it works, to make sure I know how to get these things going. So won't be doing anything on this call, just literally testing out the stream to see how this whole concept works. And then if it works really well, I'll keep using it. So, uh, we'll see what happens. I'm checking my phone to see what platforms I'm actually live on. I'm not sure if it actually made it or not. But I am trying right now. It looks like Twitter is live. Okay, let me check this out. Yeah, it looks like I'm live. Okay, live on Twitter. I'm just checking it out. So thank you for the 26 people that joined. I'm literally just trying to test out this new platform, Switchboard Live, to see how this multi-stream works. It looks like I'm frozen from my phone on Twitter. So if you can see me, say something in the chat to let me know if it's working or not. I'm just gonna comment to see if it works. Alright, so that's Twitter. Let's see if I can try LinkedIn and see if that worked. Oh no, it looks like it's working on Twitter too. Okay, cool. All right, Twitter seems like it's working now for me. I'm trying out a platform called Switchboard Live. Gabriel, thanks for reaching out. I'm trying out Switchboard Live. It allows you to multicast from multiple platforms. So right now the Twitter is working. I'm about to check out Facebook to see if the Facebook is working. And if it is, you won't just see me on LinkedIn Live on Fridays, you'll see me on all the platforms at the same time. Every Friday I interview founders and I give founders an opportunity to, you know, share their stories for people to get to know about them. And I have a decent-sized, you know, investor and founder community. So wanted to be able to expand and get this on multiple platforms at the same time. So shout out to Rudy, who is the founder of Switchboard Live. The primary use case he uses for this platform is for individuals, usually in like government agencies that need to get, you know, messages to their community members, whether it be, you know, mayor's office or gubernatorial office, or even a politician or anyone that can use livestream to reach a massive audience and needs to do so on the fly instead of having like multiple accounts and multiple devices to stream on multiple channels or multiple platforms using Switchboard Live, you're able to just stream from one computer or one phone and be able to stream to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, all the different platforms at the same time. So if you use livestream a lot and you want to multistream, check out Switchboard Live. Right now I'm looking at the Facebook. Facebook looks good. Twitter looks good. Apparently they have an Instagram feature, but I don't think it worked for me. I might have to do some more configuration to see if that works. Apparently I'm on YouTube as well. So let's see if YouTube worked. And Rudy, if you're seeing this, shout out to you, man. Appreciate you giving me access, and YouTube is working great. So I'm on YouTube. So 3 of the 5 that I tried worked. The LinkedIn didn't work, and the Instagram didn't work. So I got to do some troubleshooting on that, but it looks like the Twitter, the Facebook, and the YouTube worked. So Rudy, I'm going to hit you up and we are going to chat to see what I did wrong for the LinkedIn and why that didn't work. Cool. Well, this was a good 5-minute test. I am going to close out now and then hopefully I can get this going tomorrow so we can interview our weekly founder. We have my friend Todd, who is the founder of Crafted. So we'll be having Todd on here. So hopefully I don't mess up the stream using some new technology. There's always issues. So doing these tests are super important. But that's all I got for y'all folks. Appreciate y'all allowing me to test. See ya.
