Welcome and thank you for your time and attention and giving me an opportunity to share with you Civility Intelligence Behavioral Risk Management. Your organization has a culture, and the question is, who's influencing it? And when I say influence, I mean in every interaction, every conversation, every decision, every experience. It is important to realize that culture is shaped every day by behavior. In fact, SHRM did a study that 58% of all acts of incivility happen at the workplace. And when you think about it, it makes sense. I mean, when you have a group of people in a shared space for an extended period of time, it's almost inevitable that behavior can become a problem. My name is DB Bedford, Chief Civility Strategist here at EI365, and for the last 10 years, We've been traveling through the country showing leaders and their teams how to set civility intelligence as a behavioral standard. Because listen, we believe that your core values already align with setting a standard of behavior. So we're here to support you to get everybody on the same page and realizing that behavior is actually a strategy. Now, what is workplace incivility? It's those behaviors of disrespect that are hidden in plain sight. I want you to ask yourself, have you ever experienced any rude comments, Those dismissive attitudes, gossiping, sarcasm, and funny facial expressions, ignoring people, or unnecessary tension? If you have, these are signs that you are experiencing workplace incivility. Now, here's the thing about workplace incivility. Within itself, it's not a problem. It's when it goes unchecked is when it can really become a huge problem. And if you don't believe me, just ask LAPD. Who ended up paying out $4 million to their LAPD captain? And watch this because people in the department was circulating a fake nude photo of her. It was AI generated. The photo wasn't even her, but because the gossiping got so intense and went on for so long, it pushed her into a space where she felt like she had to file a lawsuit because nobody would listen to her and people wouldn't respect that she they needed the gossiping to stop. And that is because. They are not familiar with civility intelligence. And this is why I'm here today. I want to give you an opportunity to bring the Civility Ambassador Academy into your organization. It's time to develop a culture of trusted peers, certified practitioners, skilled communicators, and culture builders so that you can stay aligned with your objectives and goals and protect your reputation as an organization. The ultimate goal is that you and your team are not getting emotionally hijacked at work, and you're never in a position where you let your emotions overpower your intelligence. And I already know you've definitely done training in leadership, safety, compliance, diversity, customer service, and communication, and all those are relevant. But the training that's often missed is behavioral risk management. Because when you do that and you set a tone of civility ambassadors into your organization, now your leaders can spend less time managing personnel drama, chasing accountability, repairing damaged relationships from people who don't get along, and addressing unnecessary complaints. Now they have more time to lead with focus and clarity, coach people for performance, move your projects forward, and build trust across your teams. And this is why I'm excited to invite you into the opportunity to build a culture of certified civility ambassadors so you can be strategic and intentional about better behavior, Better work so that you get better results. My name is DB Bedford, Chief Civility Strategist here at EI365. We look forward to talking to you soon. Peace.
