The video captures a traffic stop in Lake Worth where an officer (Speaker A) confronts a driver (Speaker B) for alleged distracted driving, insisting the driver was holding a phone with their right hand. The driver repeatedly denies having the phone in either hand, using phrases like "Hand to God" to assert innocence. The officer persists, asking for license, registration, and insurance. A third voice (Speaker C) interjects, labeling the officer's behavior as gaslighting and a form of incivility that is often hidden in plain sight. The commentator then promotes their upcoming book, "11 Behaviors of Incivility That's Hidden in Plain Sight," offering a free copy to Bay Area residents who comment or DM, and announces a launch date of August 1st. The clip ends with a casual sign‑off.
Here's the way you're being pulled over. The city of Lake Worth today, we're doing an operation for distracted driving, and you drove past me holding the phone with your right hand, manipulating that phone. I mean, I saw you with your phone in your hand. Obviously not.
So you wanna just call this a day, or—
I don't wanna call it a day.
Now here's a perfect opportunity to just be civil and admit that you didn't get it right and move on.
You had a hand up manipulating the phone. You just said my right hand. Well, I thought I told you right hand. You had that hand up. No, I didn't. The right hand. I saw you manipulating. No, I didn't. With the right hand? Perhaps not, right?
And this is the type of behavior that incites incivility when someone's gaslighting you, which is a behavior that often is hidden in plain sight. Now, the truth is staring him in his face, yet he still won't just fall back and be like, my bad, right?
You didn't see me with my right hand. Are you saying that you saw me with my right hand? I know what I just said.
I know what I just said. I'm asking you now, did you, did you or not have your phone on your hand? You did not have your phone in your hand. Hand to God, you did not have your phone in your hand.
Hand to God.
The other hand to God, you did not have your phone in your hand.
Hand to God.
Cool. You have your driver's license, registration, and insurance with you?
I do. Well, there's only one person in this video who need to be raising their right hand to God, and it's not her. But shout out to her for being civil. But I promise you, this is the reason why I'm writing my new book, 11 Behaviors of Incivility That's Hidden in Plain Sight. And one of those behaviors is gaslighting. Listen, if you want to get a free copy of my book, I'm launching it on August 1st, but you gotta live in the Bay Area because you gotta come pick it up so I can sign it for you. All you have to do is DM me or drop a comment below, and I'll send you the link to register. Peace and light.
