Now I bet you didn't know that August is National Civility Month, and I'm here for it. And I want to challenge you to join me all month with being intentional with practicing civilian intelligence. And so I'm gonna give you a strategy that you can practice on. We're gonna kick this off with situational awareness. So every email, every conversation, and interaction, you are literally being intentional about considering, does this need my response now, later, or not at all? So the theme here is to don't bite the hook. And what does that mean? Don't bite the hook of negativity, because we consider negativity the bait. And when a fisherman throw that line in the water, the first thing the fish does is jump on the bait, and up under the bait is the hook. And And then it gets snatched out of his environment, never to return, end up in a frying pan. And so I don't want you to get snatched out of your positive environment because the bait of disrespect, impatience, rudeness, ignoring, and all the things have made you respond and bite into the bait, and the hook got you, and now it didn't change your mood, your attitude, and your energy. So your challenge for the next 24 hours is to practice don't bite the hook. Whenever negativity arises, I want you to think about this conceptually, that you will not bite into the bait because you know that hook is going to snatch you out of your positive mood, attitude, and energy. Because I promise you, if you don't take me up on this challenge, then you might as well consider yourself a big screen TV And everybody around you just has the remote control that changes your mood in a moment's notice. So will you join me in the month of August as we consider this National Civility Month? At the end of the day, all we really want you to do is just be civil.
