How Much I Made With 5 Million Views On YouTube

Inside of this video, I'm going to show you guys a video that I produced a couple years ago that got about 5.6 million views on YouTube. And I'm going to reveal exactly how much money that video made. So that way guys can see how much you can make off of a video on YouTube by uploading content. And the cool thing is, is the strategy that we use is we don't show our face on camera. In fact, I actually don't produce the videos, have teams that make the content. And what's cool is it's like almost like fully automated, essentially passive income off of YouTube util YouTube ad revenue. And yeah, that's what I got for you guys. So hopefully YouTube doesn't strike this video down because we're showing the ad revenue. I know they're, they don't like that too much that you show how much you make on a video. But I am willing to take the risk and the chance for you guys to just provide straight value for everyone watching this video. My name is Devin Knop, CEO of Become Viral. And like I said in this video, I'm gonna dive into my computer and show you guys how much this video made. So I'm also going to compare it to a couple other videos that or like one video, it got like half the views. I'm going to show you guys that video and I'm going to show you guys another video that got actually four times as many views and how much money that video made as well. So I'm going to be providing a lot of value inside of here. So hopping into my computer screen, this is the video right here. I actually made a video on this channel about how I was able to get 2 million views in eight days on a brand new channel with no other videos on the channel starting completely from scratch. And this is one of the videos that I posted and it went on to get about 5.6 million views on the channel. So right away you guys can see this video made about $8,000 off of 5.6 million views. So there you guys go, there's the answer. But I'm going to show you guys some other videos that produce a lot more money in with a lot less views or another video got a lot more views and made a lot more money. So the ad rate of this channel or this kind of like niche is not really all that good. It's about A$43 per thousand views, which is pretty bad. I will be honest. That's why I kind of quit progressing on this channel is first of all, like, it was. It was really difficult making videos for this channel and for this type of niche. And then on top of that, they just didn't really pay all that well. So it was hard to come up with topics. It was hard to make videos, and it was hard. It was just a hard channel all around. So, anyways, that's the answer for you guys. This video made about $8,000. So here's another video on another channel that I've been. Me and my team have been growing recently. I haven't edited a video in almost, I think, like, two years now, other than these videos that you guys are watching, because they're pretty simple to edit. This video right here, I got. It got just about half the amount of views, actually a little less than half. And it actually made almost, like, was that $3,000 more than the other video? So RPMs are kind of everything. You don't really have to get a lot of views to make a significant amount of money on YouTube through ad revenue. So the ad rate on this channel is about $4.12 as a comparison. So just so that way you guys can kind of see the difference a little bit. And then what's cool is that this video produces about, like. Like, $1,000 a month or so, just passively. Even though we posted this video almost a year ago, what's crazy is this video took a while to blow up, and we posted it. Let's see the date. It was, like, October of 2020. And that video, it took about, like, 100 days, and it finally blew up, and it got like, 300,000 views in a single day and over, like, a million views in the span of, like, three or four days. And then this video still just generates views, and it still generates revenue as time goes on, as you guys can see right here. So a cool little comparison. I'm gonna show you guys this other video that performed insanely well. This video right here got about 23.8 million views on YouTube, and this video generated about $111,000 on YouTube. This video was posted in 2018, and it just. It got an insane amount of views and was able to make a lot of money. So here's the cool thing about YouTube is you guys are literally one video away from $111,000, which is insane to think about. And the cool thing is, is, like we did on these videos is I didn't show my face on the videos. Nobody knows that I'm behind it. And we're able to generate this amount of revenue and I don't have to show my face on camera or anything like that. So that is pretty much all that I got for you guys. Pretty straight to the point then. The reason why I make for these videos, just to be blatantly honest with you guys, is I teach people how to build out these channels. We've had a lot of student success over the past year with my YouTube business Blue, and I'm trying to get more people into it. So these trainings, I'm basically just giving you guys a bunch of advice. I want a lot of people to be able to make money on YouTube and I want to. I love helping people scale their channels from let's say like $5,000 a month to like $20,000 a month, $50,000 a month, et cetera. I've worked with a lot of different clients. I have a lot of friends in the industry of YouTube and it's just something I love doing. So I'm always talking about YouTube, I'm always making more videos.
