A creator explains how leveraging labor and media helped them build wealth and lifestyle freedom in their 20s. They break down four types of leverage: code, labor, capital, and media, focusing on the two that worked fastest for them.
We get it. So we have things start making money for us whether we work or not. You want to build leverage. So Naval Ravikant talks about there's four different types of leverage. Code, labor, capital, media. There's a crazy statistic that there's over 500,000 people that have an ultra high net worth. And an ultra high net worth is $30 million. If you had $30 million, how much money would that make for you on interest? I did the math the other day, and if you had a 7% interest rate, you'd be making $200,000 every single month. So you don't even have to work anymore and you'll be making 200 grand a month. Now, most of us, if you watching this video, aren't one of those lucky 500,000 people that have an ultra high net worth. So capital leverage in the short term isn't a form of leverage that we can jump onto. Now that brings us over into the other forms of leverage. So we got code. The thing with code, I went to school for computer science, and I will tell you, programming is difficult for the average person. It's probably not the best way of making money. Which brings us over to the last two, which is people, AKA labor leverage and media leverage. And these are the two forms of leverage that I've been able to leverage to be able to make millions of dollars in my 20s and be able to travel the world and do whatever it is that I want on a regular basis, because I got good at these two things.
