How to Get Rich with Just One Action

Devin Canup argues that getting rich starts with choosing one high-potential income vehicle and committing to it. He emphasizes trying different things to find what works, then making decisions right rather than waiting for the perfect choice.
Do you feel lost? Do you feel confused? Do you feel like you have a tough time figuring out, like, what's the whole point of this whole thing? Like, why, why does any of this matter? What is there to work towards? You hear about, you grow up your whole life, you hear about people talking about, oh, you need to find your purpose. You need to find. Why are you doing things in life. You need to figure out, like, what's this whole point of being and existing? And so inside this video, I'm going to tell you how to find purpose. How I found my own purpose and how you can get rich in the process. And how, you know, how I was able to go from a purposeless being of not really understanding what the hell life was about and like, what my whole why am I here? To making millions of dollars and being on a trajectory of making tens of millions, hundreds of millions of dollars in my lifetime. So I'm going to you guys inside of here, inside of this video. So the first thing is, you know, we don't grow up in school being told what purpose is. And all seriousness, like, you know that we have all these classes in school about algebra, have all these classes in school about literature and how to write and how to, you know, how physics works. There's always formulas and stuff. But why don't they have a class on purpose or how to be an effective human being on this planet, how to, how to become the greatest version of yourself. They don't have any classes on any of that. And instead they kind of, you know, you get shoved down into like a box and you get told like, this is the way of being. And we never get an opportunity to transcend this, like this box unless we go and seek self improvement and we go and seek studying people that have had greatness in their lives. Other than that, there's really nothing out there. For some reason, they just don't equip us with any of that. And we have to, it's. It's bestowed upon ourselves to, to go find how to find our own purpose. And that really puzzled me. That confused me. It's weird because we get told all this time like, oh, what are you gonna do after school? You know, where you gonna go to college? What? Where are you gonna go work after all this? It's like, it's like we get forced into being told, like, oh, you have to have some sort of purpose. And as soon as we find something, we just grab onto it. We're just like, oh, yeah, this is my purpose. Or a lot of us we look at what our parents are doing or what our family's doing, and we just pick that up as our own purpose. And like I said, there's no real descriptor out there. There's no formula that's been given to us until, you know, for me, until one of my mentors that I met, and he was teaching me all sorts of stuff in life, like, devin, what's your purpose? I was like, dude, I don't know. Like, I don't even know how. Like, how do you find one of those? What. Where do those. Where do you get one of those things? He's like, oh, there's like a formula. And I was like, what do you mean there's a formula? He's like, just like, how in school you learn Y Z equal to MX plus B. The same exact thing applies to your purpose and finding what it is, like, why you are here and what is your being. He said, it's simple. It's. You go and serve people. You go and try a bunch of things out. And what you do is once you find something that really resonates with you, and when you find something that looks like work to others but feels like play for you, then that means that you find your purpose. I was like, oh, so there's no, like, specific. Like, you got to do this, and then this is your purpose, you know, but it's. You have to try a bunch of things, throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and see what are the things that make progress and results effortless for you. What. And what is those things that look like work to others but feel like play to you? Like watching Netflix. That doesn't work because it doesn't look like work to others. And obviously it may feel like play. And so you want to find the things that are, like, easy for you, that. That puts. That is your truest self. Because a lot of us, we lie to ourselves, and that's why it's so difficult to wake up every day. That's why it's so difficult to. To get out of bed. That's why it's so difficult to make progress and actually make money and. And start doing cool shit in our lives is because it's because we lie to ourselves. We live in a fictitious version of ourselves, and we don't live in our own truest form. The reason why it's so easy for me to make these videos and for me to record them is because it's the true. It's. It's a true version of myself. The way I show up in these videos. And the way I talk and the things I talk about are no different than what I was doing before recording these videos or outside of these videos. Me, I like, I'm literally just out here going and having my best life, jumping in meetings with my team, making progress on stuff, writing content, and I'm going to drive in my supercar around and going out to fancy dinner places, going shopping, and just living my best life. I'm traveling the world and I have really badass friends. And that's like, that's my life outside of these videos. So these videos are like, there's like, the stuff I talk about inside of these videos are things that I have done or things I am doing outside of the video. So for me to record them, for me to do them, it is like my true self, the personality that you see of Devin Knopp is my true self. I don't have to lie. I don't have to pretend to be somebody or do something like I have. In a lot of ways, I've tried emulating different people and try out different features to see what it is that it's like. Me, I've experimented a lot, I will say that. But the person that you see in these videos, like always on here is just. It's just Devin Kenup. It's me. It's like, it's. It's the per. The version of myself that I found after trying a bunch of shit out. And it's like that is who you're seeing inside these videos. And so that's the same exact thing, the same exact journey that you need to go through that I'm trying to lay out for you inside of these videos, which is you need to go try a bunch of stuff out. You need to not have, you know, like, be careful of, especially in your youth and when you're getting started into things of just putting too much of like a label on yourself. I hear a lot of stories of people that become ultra successful and extremely wealthy. And some of their biggest blessings were they got into a business and they're really good at it, but it didn't work out. So I remember one, for example, I was listening to, it was like Tristan Tay was talking about their story of becoming super wealthy and super successful. And for them, they did like television ad sales. And when they did these television ad sales, they were able to have some success with it. It was one of their early businesses and it kind of flopped. But because it flopped and it was actually during the decline of television, it was Actually a blessing for them because then it forced them to try other things out. And I see that a lot with people. If you get stuck into something for, let's say, like too long, then it kind of deletes that ability to keep trying new stuff and try to find what you're ultimately good at. And so for you, you need to find out what are those things that you're good at. And the best way to do it is to go just keep trying a bunch of stuff. Maybe you have a job right now, maybe work it a couple years, go try other jobs out, go try to start a business, go do you know something that's like the closest thing that you can to be, that's like freedom as possible. And sales is one of those. That's actually what got me into it was I started doing a sales job. I started like selling vacuum cleaners in people's houses, like door to door. And I was able to get pretty good at it. And me doing these vacuum cleaner sales and me trying this out is what led me to trying other things out, other businesses out, other, other ways of generating an income. Until I came across YouTube and then I came across building a personal brand, and I came across building info products, and it came across helping people. And that's when I started to find my purpose. My purpose, I realized, was helping people. Like, I love doing that and just creating lots of resources and building lots of resources up and becoming more talented so then I can help people significantly easier because I am a more effective human being. That's my passion. That's my. That's my purpose that I found. It's the things that I do of creating content just over and over and over again and, and making, you know, viral YouTube channels that don't have my face on it. That looks like work to people. As in you have to make the videos. Like, literally you, like, you know, you have to pay people to make these videos. It looks like work, but to me it's play. To me it's fun. To me it's a game. And because I gamified it, it's significantly easier for me to make money than it is for other people, because for them it looks like work. Or maybe like on the outside it doesn't look like work at first, but then when you actually start doing the actual work to produce the videos, they're like, oh, most people are just like, oh, I don't want to do that. And for me, it's play. For me it's fun. Because with YouTube, I can do anything that I'm passionate about like any subject, whether it be history or travel or space. That's the cool thing about YouTube is you can make anything become play for you because you can make a channel just about. On just about anything. That's why I'm so bullish on it. That's why I'm so. That's why I'm helping so many people have success with it and why I've built programs to help people have success. And we were able to rinse and repeat that over and over again because I'm just so passionate about it. Because there's so many ways to find your passion to make a ton of money off of it. So that's the thing is you need to find your purpose. And how do you find your purpose is you try things out until you find something that you're just extremely good at with very like in comparison of a lot of other people. It takes a lot of work. But for you it's simple, it's easy. And how you get to that point is you just try stuff out and just trust the process that eventually if you keep trying enough stuff out, you will find something that is able to have some tremendous results with you putting in very little effort into it. But you do have to do the reps. That's the one thing I will say is when you're trying to find your purpose and this thing that gets you going is you need to see things through. The issue with most people is they try to make a really people, most people will try to make a good decision and they try to make the right decision. But the issue is, is they're trying to make the right decision. And instead of what me and other successful people. People are doing is we are making decisions, right? So what this means is, is we are making. Choosing a decision whether it's right or wrong, you know, heads or tails, we're going left or right. We choose the decision and we see it through until we made the decision right. We are so persistent and we are so proactively trying to make this decision work out that we make decisions right instead of trying to always make the right decision decisions. And that's what you need to do is realize that it's kind of hard to make the right decision all the time. But instead you can make decisions, right? You can make it so they were the right decision to make by just seeing things through and by doing them very consistently. Like me doing the videos on this channel. You know, was it the right decision? I don't know, but I'M gonna make this the right decision. Like, I'm gonna make this decision right by consistently making the best content that I can, being incredibly consistent already. Now, this first month of us doing this, we hit like 5,000 views from nothing. Literally. We started from Nothing. We hit 5,000 views in the first month, and we gained like 200 subscribers. I made it right. I made the decision right by me making the best content I can, by trying to tell the best stories, by me watching my own videos, asking myself, how can I improve? Like, writing down everything that I could have improved on, and I make it the right decision. So that's what you need to do, is you need to decide something, whatever it is, but make sure it's like, here's the thing, here's the thing about success, is you need to make sure these two things are in line, is that you have the right vehicle and that you're focused and that you're really consistent about making sure that that thing's happening, making the decision right. So first of all, you need to choose something that is possible to go get rich as fuck with. Warren Buffett talks about how him and a friend he wouldn't met up with, his friend that he went to high school with, they both were pretty smart people. The only difference was they're both really hard workers. The only difference was, was one chose the. Chose investment as an opportunity, but his vehicle. And then the other guy, I think he was like in the oil industry or something like that. And it wasn't about how hard they were rowing their boat necessarily, but instead it was about what boat they were on. And after, you know, them connecting back again after 10 years or 20 years or however long it was. Warren was significantly further than his friend was. His friend was successful, let's say, but Warren was like, significantly further ahead than his friend. And that's just because he chose a vehicle that just had a higher income potential. And he chose something that. That if he just does it long enough and eventually he sees success in, he was going to make more money just because there is more opportunity in it and there is a higher ceiling. And so that's the one thing I would say for you, is just make sure you choose something that has a high ceiling, something that isn't going to limit you to where you get the best at it, you become the best at it, and you're the top, top performer in the. In the space, and you're only making, let's say, $5,000 a month or $10,000 a month. You want to do Something to where when you're the best at it and when you're the top performer, you're making hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars. Or even if you're, let's say middle tier performer, you're not even that good, you're a middle tier performer. But because you're in the right vehicle, you're making way more than somebody who is like a top 0.001% in their industry. So make sure you choose the right vehicle and then see it through. Make the decision right, do that thing until, and be consistent and do everything you can to make that decision right. It's not about the right decision, it's about making the decision right. And that is how you find your purpose. That is, you know, you pick something, you go after it, you try after it, see that decision through. And then the next time after you saw that, seen that thing through, now you're going to try something else. That's what I did. For me at first it was doing real estate, or first it was sales and then I did real estate. I saw real estate through. Like I got to where like I made money with it and then I on this and then I started doing something with like a little bit of my time. I started doing YouTube, but then YouTube started doing better as I was doing it on the side and I was like, oh, I'm gonna do YouTube instead. So I started doing YouTube and I was doing my personal brand at first, but then I went all in on doing YouTube and that's when I started seeing massive success. I went from making $3,000 a month to $40,000 a month pretty consistently. And then from there as I started to get my YouTube channels performing well, then I moved over into doing info products. And so I took those results that I did with YouTube and I started showing other people how to do it. And that just was a better vehicle that just had a higher income potential. Potential. Am I saying go start info products now after if you have no results to back it? Hell no. It's not a great idea. Go make like, go make like 50, $70,000 a month and then just show other people how you do it. And you can put on a significantly higher income potential than you possibly would, you know, by just trying to do shoe reselling or something like that. You know, I don't know what the income potential of that is, but you want to find something that's your purpose that you're passionate about, that you're good at, that looks like work to others, but is play to you. And you want to focus on making the decision right? You do those three things, and you'll be exactly where you want to be. And then all those people, all those guidance counselors that were saying, what are you going to do with your life? They're going to be asking you, how do you do that? And how can I be like you? So make sure to like this video, subscribe and go check out the other videos that are being shown right here.
