"I manifested my dream life"

Devin Knopp shares how clarity, belief, and consistent action turned his dreams into reality. He walks through personal experiences and the mindset shifts that made the difference between wanting something and actually building it.
Here's how to actually manifest your dreams and actually become the person that you want to be. Because I know you probably hear about things like, you know, thinking grow rich. And you know, you see these people that just spawn millions of dollars and they look like a fucking idiot online. And you know, it kind of, kind of sucks seeing these people like do so well in life and feel like we're so distant from being able to do that. So inside this video I'm going to cover the three points of how I've been able to manifest my dream life in a real like non bullshit way. I think most people, you know, when they talk about manifesting, they talk about completely in the wrong direction. So I'm going to jump through the three things that, you know, I've been able to do to manifest things and how you can apply it too. So the first thing is you want to actually figure out what the fuck that you actually want in your life. And manifestation is actually like a really powerful tool if you actually use it correctly. And I think a lot of people, you know, they're like, oh, I want to manifest some food. And they, you know, they use it in a way that makes it so it's just lame and you don't actually get anything from it. And so how I manifest cool things, like my dream life is, I, first of all I wanted this dream life. And that is the thing is like what is the vision, what is the thing? What is it that we're actually working towards? A man without a dream and a man without something to work towards is just effortless. Like it's just lackluster. Working towards something that is inevitably nothing. And so if you have nothing to actually work towards, no goal, if you have, if, if you have no sort of vision of like what this thing actually is, if, if you're kind of just like, oh, I will be rich and just kind of generally be able to do things in life, it's not specific enough. Manifestation loves specificity. It loves being able to know exactly what it is that you want. For example, you know, I got this hat. It was a, you know, most people would say it was like a stupid purchase, but I wanted a cool hat. I've gone through, I've had a lot of hats and so I wanted a nice one. So I wanted, I went to a bunch of stores and I went, I would go in, I'd walk in, I'd be like, I want this hat. Like, like what hats do you guys have? And I would go look at the hats that they have. I think I went into, like, five, six different stores to buy this hat, you know, and eventually I went into Laura Piano, and I saw this hat there, and I. I tried on, I think, like, seven different hats that they had there, and I like this one the most. I knew exactly what I was looking for. I was just trying to find that piece, that puzzle, that thing that it was. I had this, you know, this vision of this hat that I was looking for. Kind of sounds silly now, talking about it brought my girlfriend on an adventure to go find this hat.
And.
And I found this hat. It paid probably, like, $600 after tax, like, buying this thing. But I knew exactly what it is that I wanted. And I just kept going until I found the thing. I knew exactly what I wanted. I just didn't know who had it and where it would be. So the same exact thing with your life, you know, you want to be specific as to the goals. You know, for me, I wanted, like, a brown, maybe darker color hat. Ended up going with this one. I tried a few different out, and I wanted, like, a hat that looked good, that I can wear a bunch of different things, you know, that felt nice because I've had other hats. I get this Gucci hat that just. It was expensive, and I just, you know, it looked cool, and it portrayed that I was rich to, like, the average person, but I didn't like it. It was too loud. It was, like, a little bit too much. And like, the other style, the Gucci hats with, like, how my facial structure works and stuff like that. And so I knew exactly what it is that I wanted. And that's the thing with you guys. Most of you are just drifting off into the sea, like, into the world in the universe. Just trying to, like, hopefully, you know, land somewhere special. You're a plastic bag drifting through the wind with no purpose. And that is the issue that you have. You need to be specific on what it is that you want to a t, you know, and if you don't have, like, the actual real object in the real world, that's okay. But you need to know. You need to, like, know what it is, what the feeling is, what the emotion is that you're looking for, kind of the general gist. And you have to be really, like, really passionate about trying to discover what that thing actually is in the world and trying to go and find it. So, you know, if you want to be cool, you want to be like. Let's say you want to be like. What's the guy's name? Tony Stark. From the Avengers. You know, you want to be like him. You want to be a cool dude. You want to like be on the news and be some celebrity billionaire. If that's what you're looking for, that feeling, then you need to go like, be specific as to like how that feeling feels. And then also be specific as to what does that lifestyle actually look like. You know, is it living out in the middle of nowhere in Kansas, or is it like having some crazy beach house in Malibu that has all these things? And then it's like once you figure out what it is that you want, you have to like the hard part then next is like telling yourself that you, you deserve that. Like that you're, you're a person worthy of being able to, to own that thing. And you have to like, you have to kind of keep consistently telling yourself that you are worthy of this person that you're trying to become. Kind of sounds like this is a super woo woo video. So kind of kind of share. But you have to, you have to have the belief that it's possible. First of all, there's a lot of people that live in crazy beach houses and Malibu. Not like you'd be the only other person in the world to do that. So there's other people that are doing it and then what is it that they had to do to get there to that lifestyle and believing yourself and your own ability that you can do it yourself. So good exercise on this. You know, as we're kind of talking about. The vision aspect is finding the things that are what you think are your typical disadvantage. Disadvantages are your superpowers. So, you know, if you, if you grew up in a town where you're like a complete loser or something like that, and you know you didn't have any friends in life and you know, you just never fit in anywhere. Awesome.
Cool.
That's your superpower. There you go. Maybe that's easy. You know, whatever it is that you think is your disadvantage. You know, like you grew up without rich parents. You know, it's like you grew up without like any sort of high chance of success. You know, you, you lost the championship game and your basketball in high school or something like that, and you became an outcast.
Cool.
That's your superpower. That's your, that's your story. You know, the difference between a superhero and a villain is only one thing. That's it. They're actually very more similar than they are different. The difference, like the thing is, is that they had something happen to them. They had like they got, you know, taken advantage of, or they. They got beat up or, you know, their mom passed away or something like that. It was something crazy, you know. And some people, they take that and they're like, I want to make sure that nobody ever feels the way that I felt, or nobody has to go through what I went through. Then there's the flip side of it where it's like, I want everybody to feel what I felt. I want everybody to know what it's like to go through what I went through because they don't understand. That's it. That's the only difference between a superhero and a villain. They both went through some crazy events. One interpreted as, I'm gonna change the world in a positive way, and the other one's like, I'm gonna change the world in a negative way. And that's the exact same thing that you get to face right now, today with your life is, what is the thing that got you? What is the thing that, like, made you the way that you are? You know, maybe it's. You're.
You're.
I don't know, maybe you're uglier. Maybe you can't get girls. Or maybe it's like you're a loser. Maybe it's like, you know, nobody ever loved you. Maybe it's like nobody ever respected. Respected you. Maybe nobody ever listened to you. Maybe, you know, you've always been an outcast. Maybe it's like you never fit in.
Cool.
Awesome. Now use that as, like, your advantage. That's why you should be Tony Stark. That's why you should go live in a beautiful house in. In Malibu is because you didn't fit in. That was my story. I didn't fit in anywhere. You know, and growing up, it was like. Growing up, it was. It was hard, you know, it was like. Because I never fit in. And I was like, this is my disadvantage. This is why I'm not successful. This is why I can't do cool shit in my life. But then as soon as I realized that actually that is the exact reason why I can't do a bunch of stuff in my life is because of all these disadvantages were actually my advantages. And so if you can change that mindset, then believe that you are somebody that's capable of, you know, whatever it is that this dream is, then you can get after it. So figure out what it is that you want. Just like, you know, be a little bit delusional with what it is that you want. That's okay. That's kind of the Whole point of figuring out what it is that you want. Be delusional. People might think you're a delusional, don't share it with them, you know, just keep it to yourself. Be delusional. And then now that you have this delusion, now you have to form the belief that you deserve to have this delusional lifestyle or to become this delusional person or do this delusional thing because of, you know, whatever it is that your normal disadvantages are. That's exactly why, you know, you hear people that are marathon runners that are just like, you know, they don't even have legs. Like they have like their amputees and stuff and they go do these like crazy hundred mile races in like the Sahara desert. Like I was watching this documentary the other day. I think the woman like lost her leg or something and still did this run. That was her disadvantage and that disadvantage became her advantage. She wanted to prove everybody that she was still able to go and do something like incredibly crazy even though she had this huge disadvantage. And so the same exact thing for your life. So that brings me over to the second thing on this list, which is having optimism that you're able to go and do it. I think most people, you know, it's like as soon as they, as soon as they kind of get the, they hit some sort of failure, failing point or breaking point and it, the thing doesn't work out, most people give up. You know, the, the pessimism kind of reaches them, the negativity. And I think there's some occasions when you know, being a little bit of pessimist kind of helps decision making. But when it comes to the overall journey and the progress you look at any movie, you know, I'm a big movie movie fan and understanding like these crazy journeys that people go on and like, for example, you know, you look watch a movie like the Hobbit. The guy in the Hobbit is a he. Like especially like someone like Gandalf. He's, he's the guy leading the entire vision. He's the one that's creating the vision of like how this is all going to play out. And he's the one kind of leading, you know, the Hobbit and all these Dwarves along on the journey and, and kind of guiding them through this. And with that they are extreme optimists. They know that there's like all this bad stuff happening. But regardless, you know, they have optimism that it'll work out. They know that this is the only way to the path of like things like, this is the best alternative route that they have, but they're also optimists that it will work out, because if they're too negative, then they would give up and they would. They wouldn't even try. They wouldn't even give it a shot. And so that little bit of optimism, even if it's a minute amount, it goes a long ways. And so it's having optimism and being positive about the journey and just knowing that if you fail, fail, that's just, you know, part of the journey, that those failures are an experience. Experience comp. Experiences compound into the ability to. To do some incredible things. Like experiences compound into knowledge. And the more knowledge you have, the more that you're able to have leverage in doing the things the right direction. It's like if Elon Musk, you know, the billionaire Elon Musk or billionaire Jeff Bezos, if they lost everything, they have all the knowledge, they have all the experiences. They've made a lot of mistakes.
They've. They've.
They've made, I would argue, more mistakes than probably anyone else in the world when it comes to financial success and becoming wealthy. And because of all this experience and all this knowledge that they have, they can become a billionaire overnight. If they lost everything, if they lost all their connections, if they lost all their money, they'd become a billionaire really, really quick. And that's because of their experience and because of their knowledge. And that's the one thing that no government, no bank, no, you know, no one can steal from you, no one can take away from you, is knowledge and your experiences. And so the more knowledge and experiences that you have, the more that you're able to do, the more leverage that you have, the more, you know, crazy, incredible things that you have. Gandalf in the Hobbit and in the Lord of the Rings series, he has more knowledge than anybody else on the show. And he has, like, these cool, crazy powers because he has the knowledge on how to do things. You know, he. Maybe he was given a little bit of an advantage, but he's also the oldest person. He's the wisest person, and with all this wisdom and this knowledge and this experience, he has incredible powers that, you know, changes the fate of the entire plot because of these powers that he has. And that's the thing of time. That's a new thing of experiences. And that's the thing of just exploring life and. And just finding, you know, how things actually work. And the more knowledge that you have, the more you're able to do things. So having an optimistic perspective. And when you realize you have failure that you're running into, just treat it as, okay, cool. This, this is an experience that I get to add to the stack and I get to add to my journey of becoming a better version of myself. And it leads into the overall journey. And so that brings me over to my, my last, my last point of manifestation and how I manifest my dreams. And how you can too is to take action on these things. You know, you watching this video, you're not taking action. Like I'm proud of you for acquiring knowledge and that you're interested in the stuff if you made it to this point, but then now you need to take action. So how do we take action? That's, you know, that's the question is first of all, consistency is way more important than it is like, you know, some crazy, incredible, you know, instantaneous thing. And so the thing is, is you want to be consistent. Like it's the person that goes to the gym for four hours in one day and then never goes for months on end versus the person that goes every single day, even if it's for 15, 20 minutes and is consistent for three months. The person that's consistent for three months, even if it was my new progress in the day to day, they're the person that is a completely more transformed person than the person that only went once. It's the same with water in nature. You see this in nature all the time. If you have, let's say some water on a rock heading in a stream, on a direction is not really going to do anything to the rock in that instance. But you compound that over hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, millions of years and it starts to form a huge crevice. You look at any sort of, you know, you look at the Grand Canyon, you look at, you look at these crazy valleys on, on mountains and stuff and ranges and these crazy canyons that it created was because the water passed through it consistently for insane amounts of years, just long years. And that consistent action created the river. And so it's the same thing with you. And what you're trying to, trying to do is if you want to become this person that's, that's capable and this person that, that has these things. You know, I love, I love this quote. It's by Charlie Munger, who is deceased not too long ago, but it's one a great quote. The world is not a crazy enough place to reward a bunch of undeserving people. And so you must deserve what it is that you want and it is very basic rudimentary advice, but it stays so true to the world that we live in, is you have to deserve the things that you want. You have to become the person worthy of deserving the thing. And that's why, you know, there's so much passion around watches and cars and houses and lifestyle, is not because. And maybe, like, a six pack is not because of the actual thing itself, but instead it's what the thing represents. It's the same with, like, trophies and, you know, let's say winning the super bowl and winning, you know, the. The Olympics is what it symbolizes. It's not the actual thing that. That. That's the goal necessarily. It's what that thing symbolizes. It symbolizes hard work. It symbolizes, you know, that you mean something in this world. And so in order to win these symbols and win these awards and. And whatnot is to deserve these things is to. Is to become the person that is worthy of these things. That's why we think people are, you know, that's why we have a certain preconceived notion or a certain mindset around people that have expensive stuff, is because we know that they had to be somebody. And in order for them to be able to afford these things and to buy these things, you know, yeah, it probably means they have a ton of money, but it's like, okay, who are they to earn this money? And I don't think most people consciously think that, but this is a subliminal thing that happens biologically that, you know, since our caveman brains work, is that we're trained to think that this person had to become somebody in order to have those things. And so that's the same exact thing for you. And that's what's cool, is like, that means. It's not like, that means there's a game plan. That means there's a blueprint to become this person, and that is to become the person that's worthy of the person that deserves to have these things. And so if you win enough, you know, UFC fights, it's inevitable that you'll deserve cool cars and watches and a crazy lifestyle like Conor McGregor. It's the same thing in business. It's.
You're.
If you go through enough failure and have enough experiences and you make enough impact and you're able to create. Create more value than anybody else. And you've been incredibly consistent, and you have, you know, you sharpen your ax. You've. You've learned a lot, and you've applied. You have a lot of applied knowledge and applied experience, then it's inevitable that you should just deserve to have a ton of money and have whatever lifestyle it is and whatever it is that you want in your life, because you have become the person that's worthy of it, and you have become somebody that deserves these things. And so you need to ask that for yourself is like, do I deserve it? And if not, what is it that I need to do to deserve it? And a lot of the times it's putting in the reps and taking action consistently. So that's how to manifest your things. My name is Devin Knopp. I'll see you guys in the next one.
