You are one deep work season away from $30k a month

Devon Canup shares his strategy for reaching $30k a month through focused deep work, covering content creation, client acquisition, and accountability. He walks through practical steps on maintaining focus and building income.
Watching this video are one deep work session away from changing your life. And so inside of this video, we're going to give you guys the deeper strategy to get rich and buy McLaren's and Aventadors and make lots of money. All right, guys, so in this video, I'm going to share with you guys, like, my tip to getting rich. This is it. I'm going to give it to you in this video, okay? You are going to be rich after watching this. If you are not rich, hit me up. I will give you a refund on your time. There is a disclaimer though. It is a actionable refund guarantee. Man, I have a hair in my mouth. But the actionable refund guarantee, you have to go climb. Okay, I got it. You have to go climb to the top of Mount Everest to qualify for the guarantee. So make sure you, like have pictures of you on top of Mount Everest and you have to prove that you went to the top of Mount Everest to get the refund. So this is, like I said, is a refund guarantee action based. So you just got to go climb to the top of Mount Everest and you'll be good to go. So inside of this video, how to do the deep work strategy to finally become rich af, as the kids like to call it. I think they call it like no cap Rich af. No, no, no cap. So. Or okay, this one, the title was 10k a month. Okay, you guys just want to make 10 grand came up. I thought you guys wanted to get rid JF no cap in this video. But if we're just trying to make 10k a month, what we need to do, in all honesty, and I know I've been fucking around in this video, but in all honesty, what you need to do is you need to focus. We need to do it for a period of time and we need to do it for a sprint. Okay? I've been talking about this and mentioning in a few of my videos and I wanted to make this one video where we are going to develop the deep work process. I'm going to give you guys a routine, okay? Pull out your pens and papers, your pens and crayons or your crayons and paper, and we will document it all out together. And so. And I'll. I'll do it with you guys, okay? So step one, what we need to do is we need to set a goal, okay? Deep work routine. We need to set a goal. Okay? So we, we need to set what are known as smart goals. I know it's like if you're in self development at all. You've like heard smart goals. You're like, ah, I've heard this before, but let's actually do it. Okay? Pull out notes, pen and paper, set a goal. Okay? So it needs to be specific, it needs to be measurable, it needs to be actionable, it needs to be the R and it needs to be the T. I do not remember what those two are, but we will focus on the first three because I know that part's important. So specific. Okay, if we're trying to make ten grand a month, cool. All right. If we want to make ten grand a month, we could probably try to shoot forward in 90 days. Yeah, bucket. All right. I think I'll probably take you probably a little bit longer. Like six months if you're being realistic. But yeah, 90 days is possible. So if you made some money online already, you probably get to 10 grand a month in the next 90 days. It's pretty straightforward. If you never make money, let's. Okay, let's try to get to like $1,000 a month. Okay? You guys never made money. Write down a thousand. If you guys made money, write down 10,000. If you guys are already making $10,000, why the fuck are you watching this video? I guess, right? 100,000. Okay, cool. So with that being said, so we got the goal 10k. Don't want to undo my typing. So what we need to do is we need to do the Math to make $10,000. So I will give you guys two frameworks of doing it. Okay? I will give one. That's a. How many views do we got to get to make that? If we're trying to do like this is YouTube or TikTok or personal brand or something like that. And then I'll give you one. If we were selling products or affiliate commissions or something like that. If, if you have a product based way of doing it. Okay, I like the YouTube, faceless YouTube, YouTube automation route because I want, like, that's what I teach people. But you can. I do both. Okay, so if you're trying to make $10,000 a month, we'll just go conservative here. You need to get at least 2 million views a month on a faceless YouTube channel. If you're making long format content, if you're doing shorts, you probably needed like 300 million views a month to get there. Like, I actually just saw one of reds. He got 300 million views in. Or it was 100 million views a month to make 10 grand a month. So, you know, you kind of Got to do more. So if you want to do short form, you got to shoot for 100 million. If you're shooting for a long format, you got to shoot for 2 million. So what that means is like, because it's just 2,000 times five, 10 grand a month, that's how much you'll make. That's pretty realistic. You'll probably make more if you're. If. If I coach you on how to do it, you probably make less if you don't have me teach you how to do it. But that's okay. That's up to you. But with that being said, so we just shoot like for $2 million or 2 million views a month. Okay. So that means in month three. Three. Or at least towards the end of month three. Because I mean, as long as we just hit like on pace for 2 million views a month, then that's good enough. When you break it down, it becomes a lot easier, actually. So if we get 2 million views a month divided by 30 days, that's 67,000. Oh, that's too many sixes. So 67,000 views a day that we need to hit. Basically, let's call it like 70,000, but 60k views per day. Which, if you think about it, it's not that crazy. Like, the amount of videos that you see that get over like 100,000, 100, 000 views is like all over the place. So if you just hit 67, 000 views, I know it kind of sounds like a lot, but it's like reality. It's like that's freaking peasant views. Like, you can totally do that. Okay, so we're shooting for that many views a day. Okay. So we need to hit 67, 000 views in at least like 90 days is pretty much the goal. And then we kind of hit our goal, so. Because we can kind of cheat it a little bit. As long as you hit one day where you're hitting like 300 in a day, you're. It's basically 10 grand a month. Right. So with that being said on the product side, we need to do the math there. How do we make $300 a day? So depends on what your product is, if you're selling. Let's say, like if you're trying to do like an agency route, maybe your services is two grand a month. My girlfriend's doing a product, like she's an agency offer where hers is like two grand a month or something like that. So 2500. So she just seems like five clients. Five to four clients. To get, get there. So you can have four clients at 2K a month or five. Yeah. So just, I don't know, do the math. So that's 2k a month or just four people a month for four clients per month at 2k each. This is not the video to ask me, Devin, how do I sell products or what should I sell? That's for other videos. But you just want to break down the goals ultimately. Okay, so now it's measurable and then now what you do. Now you have the goals and we'll do another one. Realistic. So maybe like 40 people at 200 each. There you go. A month. Maybe have like a school group or something that you're doing. If you do 99amonth and you need. What is that, 199. Yeah, my math is not adding up. So anyways, 100 people and $99 each. That's. There you go. That's pretty fair. Okay, so we have all of our different ways of making ten grand a month. Then what we need to do is we need to make it actionable. So how do we get 2 million views a month? My recommendation is just focus on the output. You always want to focus on the controllable actions and then just focus on qualitatively making it more quality. So first it's just focus on quantitative and then we can focus on qualitative. So in most YouTube channels, niches, if you do like three videos a week in a span of like 90 days, you should have a total of 12 times. You should have like 30 videos up. And if the first channel sucks after 10 videos, go do another channel. I have students where they upload three videos on a new channel and they make ten grand a month. It happens pretty often. Typically not on the first YouTube channels, typically on like a second or tertiary, secondary or tertiary channel that they start up. So if you open, if you optimize for three videos a week, you should be at about $10,000 a month. Like if you just do the math, like realistically, that's the math. Like seriously, genuinely, like, that's it. And then what you want to do is if you're trying to sell products, so it depends on your client acquisition, like how you acquire clients. Let's say that you're doing it through a personal brand, you're trying to upload YouTube videos, then probably what you need to do is optimize for like one high quality video a week, or the three like middle quality videos a week. Or like me, I'm just uploading just more value in A sense of like giving you guys my conscious stream here. I'm doing these like pretty much five times a week, seven times a week. So if I just do the math, if I just do these, like. And I just. In my first month, I made like 30 grand off this channel. But I'm, I'm, I'm leverage, I'm business. People reach out to me and want to throw money at me. So, like, because I'm like, I have like good, effective systems and I made a lot of money in the past, but for you at least shoot up for like a certain amount of uploads. You got to figure out what that action is. If it's called DMS and that's how you're getting clients, then do the math. And this sun is really blocking me and I don't want to have to edit this to make the video stop playing. But what you need to do is do the math on how much activities you have to do to hit that many clients. So if you're doing cold DMs to hit clients, don't be cold damning me. But what you need to do is, I don't know, set a target. So if you have to send 500 DMS to get a client. Okay, cool. And four clients pay us 10 grand a month. Okay, cool. Then you just got to do 2000 dms a month. That's not that many. If you do the math. It's like 2000 divided by 30. Why do we keep getting the 66 numbers? So it's like 67 clients a month that you got to hit. Or 67 dms a day, which is not that crazy. Like if you just do it for like three, four hours a day, you should definitely hit like you should, you should be getting that. I mean, is like four hours a day worth ten grand a month? Do I think so? So with that being said, you want to figure out what is the action that, like that we need to do? Okay, so now that we got the smart goals, okay, we got the smart goal down, we got the rhythm figured out, like how we're going to do it. If you guys have questions on anything else, like, how do I actually do the work? Just look up how do I cold the email people and start an agency. How do I start an agency? Or look up like, how do I start business? YouTube channels. Or just click the link in my bio of my YouTube channel. I think, yeah, I think that's where it's at. Or go to my other socials and apply to work with us. Or Watch any of our trainings or whatever. But anyways, with that being said, is now what you. Now that you have the goal and now you have the target, and now you have the reps that you need to do. The next step, when we get in the middle of the camera here, the next step is you want to now be intentional with what you're going to do. So now we want to pull the pen and paper out and we want to write out things that are going to possibly distract us. And then honestly, I'd probably just schedule in yourself things and probably get an accountability partner. That's probably what I would do, to be honest. So with that being said, write down all the things that are distraction or let's take action on it. So if you know that you're going to want to watch Netflix, I think you should delete the Netflix app off of your television or take the HDMI cable and throw it in the garbage and make it so you have to go to the store and buy another HDMI cable. I've done that multiple times when I was more addicted to watching shows or playing video games. And what I would do or like, leave my video games and tell my parents I can't touch it unless I come and ask you for it. And it's kind of like awkward. And I think that awkwardness kind of helps out a lot. I've done a lot of weird stuff like that. And then you want to find all the potential things that are going to distract you away from your work and get rid of them. And then now what do you do is you just work. Just do the thing. Deep work. This is what you do. So here's the rule that I learned when it comes to deep work is when it is your deep work session, when you're supposed to work, you do two things. You either work. You. Like, if you're gonna say, like, from 10 to four every day, I'm gonna be working or whatever on this, you guys are getting up from your job. From 5 to 9, you're going to be working. You have one rule or two rules. You have two rules. You either have to be like. Or I guess one rule here was what it is. You either have to be working on the project and getting closer to your goals and sending messages, or you do nothing and you get little balloons with it. You. You either allow yourself to work or you do nothing in that time. And if you just allow yourself to be bored. That's the issue with a lot of us, is we feel like we need to scroll, doom scroll through TikTok or like we. As soon as we get bored, we have to like go be doing something. We're like freaking cracked out. So what you gotta do is like slow down a little bit and just do nothing or work. And what'll happen if you just do this for seven days straight where you just don't work for like that time block? You start to get so bored that working is better than doing nothing. And your brain starts to think like, dude, we need to be doing shit. Like, let's, let's go. I'd rather work and then get the dopamine from working and clicking buttons on the computer and making progress. The other thing I would do is I would do like kill Newsfeed on Facebook. I would probably delete all the and log out of all the social medias on your computer. Set a rule. Never log into social media on my computer. Or if you're using it for business sake, then what I recommend is deleting all the apps off of your phone. I've done that many times where I just delete all the social media apps and I make it so I have to go onto my computer to go in onto these apps and go do everything. You can also set it up. I think there's extensions now that make it so videos don't pop up or content doesn't ever show up on social medias. And so you have to like go search things on YouTube or you have to go search things on, on Instagram or TikTok or whatever. If anybody watching this, you know what the tools are, drop them down in the comments and there you guys go. You guys can just go in the comments and download those extensions. And then what happens is now you're forced to just work all day. Now you have literally no distractions. There's nothing like pulling from you because it's like you're so bored at a certain point that you're just like, I'm just going to work and make progress on my business and get rich. Crazy, right? So that is the deep work strategy. That is the deep work routine that I've used to make millions of dollars in my 20s and allowed me to buy luxury watches and to buy supercars and to go travel the world and to do whatever the I want. Is this deep work routine. I mean, it's true, but kind of sounds douchey now that I'm thinking about it. But anyways, I want you guys to be rich watching those videos. Like, I get it. I know there's like all these monk mode Videos. And you, like, tried it on the past, try it again. Like, seriously. And I, I, I relapsed multiple times of, like, going back to this, like, dopamine, like, addicted life. And it was just then I, I had to, like, pay bills and I had responsibilities and I had to, you know, take care of my girlfriend and go travel to places because I had to be at places and I had to find ways to make money. And so. And then I got tired of, like, trying to figure out it last minute. Instead, I just started being proactive and I just started to just going seasons of just working my ass off and then other seasons where I enjoy life. And now I just try to find a healthy balance because it's better doing it that way than trying to do things out of necessity and out of like, oh, we got bills to pay and try to figure things out. So that's my recommendation to you. This is a deep work routine. And then the other part, I was talking about accountability. Hopefully I didn't click off because it sounded like I was about to end the video. There is, I love this, this channel I can kind of around. It's like, I don't, I don't give a shit. So the other part is, is you want to find accountability partners. If you guys want, like, just drop your social media ads in the comment section. Tell people to reach out to you on Instagram or wherever on Twitter. I probably do it on social media platforms so you don't get weirdos like texting your phone number and say, hey, who wants to create a group of like, you know, like, we're like girls in our 20s. Who wants to join my group? Okay, cool. And you can kick out the weirdos out of the group or something. Or maybe, hey, we're older dudes in corporate America trying to quit our jobs. Who wants to join my community? There you go. And you guys can create a little group chat or something and then just all compete against each other. Who can quit their job the fastest? Like, literally just do that, that like, societal pressure and like, how our biology works. You'll like you. We, like, thrive out of competition. And when we want to, like, try to beat people it or we see other people just like us, like, doing exactly what we want to do. It like, hardwires us to, like, go harder and to push ourselves even more. And it gives us selves more opportunity to. Not more opportunity, but it gives ourselves more drive and more fuel to try to quit our job. So it's a pretty lucrative strategy. Like, I know I'm kind of casually saying it at the end of the video. But seriously, go do that. Go try it out. Like, if you guys want to do it, cool. If you guys don't do it, cool. I don't give a shit. Like, I'm just giving you guys the information. I'm very detached from the output of this video. I'm just putting this out here, knowing that this works. It made me rich as it's made like hundreds, if not thousands, hundreds of thousands of other people rich as like everything I'm sharing with you. I'm giving you guys my perspective on how I did it. And so you guys can go do it too. This is what I did and this is what made me rich. Go for it if you want, if not, I don't care. At least I tried and I gave this out here and yeah, so that's my outlook and maybe it might fail. You can go try it out again in different ways. Like one thing I'm doing just like, you know, just for sharing it with you guys is me making this channel. I connected with other people that are doing the like daily YouTube video grind. Like I am and I am like, I'm talking to them and starting to make like a group chat with all of them. And we're all sharing all of our different strategies and our tactics and what we figured out. And we're all like, I do it with people that are already moving and taking action and then we all like share our secrets and our tips and our hacks that we are discovering to make our videos do really well. And so we can all grow significantly faster and even just motivate or inspire each other at the very least. Sometimes it's the blind leading the blind and sometimes it's we have really smart as fuck people in there that are able to share insights and stuff. So sometimes it's both. So that's what I got you guys. Here's my deep work routine. I know it's on as like freaking serious and like you, here's how you guys go do it. But I just wanted to give you guys like an actual here applicable strategy in my own way of doing it and just being honest and real with you guys. So that's what I got. Thank you guys for watching this video. I'm kind of been recording like seven videos in a row. This has been a lot of fun. But subscribe. If there's a form, if there's ever a Google form, like a form you watch on these videos, click five stars. If you ever see one, click it five stars. Best video ever. I learned, like, tell YouTube these videos are good. I didn't know the power of these things until I talked to someone at YouTube the other day, and they're like, yeah, Devin, like, ask people for, like, to save five stars on the form. And I was like, oh, okay, start doing it. My videos started to get a lot more views on some of my channels by doing that. So, anyways, that's what I got. Thank you, guys. Appreciate you all. We'll do the freaking fireworks. I've been. It's been fun. Sweet. See you guys.
