You’re seeing this video because it’s time for you to make millions

Devon Canup shares his path from hardship to financial success, arguing that you should follow proven formulas instead of overthinking. He emphasizes faith in the process and making decisions based on data rather than emotion.
The world we live in right now is a crazy place. And you and I both know that it's gonna keep getting more and more crazy. And the thing that we cannot be amidst all of this is crazy and lost ourselves. Because if we start getting a little bit lost and trying to get a little bit, you know, if we get kind of crazy here, we completely are going to lose ourselves. We're going to lose all sense of reality, all sense of values, all sense of tradition, all sense of being of who we are and what we were meant to be. It's never been easier today. We've never had more access than today to things that lead us, devices that lead us astray with pornography being at the tips of our fingers, with the ease of emotionally triggering substance, on all platforms of social media, on everywhere you look, every conversation that you have with people. It's just, you really have to decide, decipher and discern what is worth listening to. What are things do you believe and trust in, and what do you align and resonate with the most? And all it takes is for, you know, a bad day, a bad week, a bad month to set us down in an entirely different direction than the people that we were destined to. To be that you were destined to be. You have to have your. Your guards up and your walls up more than ever before. There's just so much garbage out there, just a whole lot of crap we're getting away from what. What matters most. So my goal inside of this video is to give you some tools, to give you some thoughts, to give you some ideas to ponder on that I think are essential in the next coming months, in the next coming years, and in the future that we have in front of us. And these are some big, bold claims from some random dude on the Internet, but I really mean that because I've seen some people that are close to me in my life, you know, close and just people I've seen just completely lose a sense of self. And it's, It's. It's very simple to do that these days and to delineate from what is truth and knowing what. What is the truth of what is real truth and what is what appears to be truth. So there's this concept, I guess, concept in life that I've been really pondering lately, which is our behaviors. Why is it that we act the way that we act? Why is it that we live the days that we live? Why is it that the circumstances of our life are the way that they are? And why is it that for some people it's consistently on repeat. And then for other people, it seems to be that they get everything that they want. They're always growing, they're always becoming more. They're always shedding skin and reinventing themselves on a continual basis to constantly adjust to the season in their life and the person that they need to be right then and there. And it comes easy to them versus, you know, some of us. It appears to be more so difficult. What I will say is you need to stop trying to understand everything. You need to try to stop being a know it all. You need to try to stop knowing why you're doing what you're doing. You need to stop trying to understand everything. And I'm telling you this as I was at a. I was at this event the other. The other day. It was a week or two ago, and every person in this room was making at least a million dollars a year, if not 10 million, if not $100 million a year to be able to be a part of this room. And while I did meet lots of incredibly successful people and people that are making lots and lots of money, what I will say is that there's a lot of wisdom from the unexpected. I was sitting at one of the tables for when we did one of the dinners, and I was sitting next to this man and asked him what he did for he did, why he was there. And he said that he was a math teacher and he was actually part of the event. He was the husband of one of the women that were part of the event, and he's been doing math for. It was like over 20 years he's been teaching math. And if you're like me, I always think that I can learn something from everybody, and I know I can learn something from everybody. So I asked this man, what's the. What's the one thing that you learned from all these years of teaching? You know, what's the. You know, what's the census of all this that you've. The conclusion, if you were to put it on a pillboard, like, what was the thing that, you know, I learned this from this lifetime that I put towards this thing. It's silly, you know, that there's always these people around us that have put decades into something, into a craft or into something, into their lives, and they have this worldly wisdom that nobody else has, like, that they've been able to discover over all these years. And he actually told me right then and there, I don't have anything. Like, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I was like, okay, cool. Well, you go, you think about it, and then you come back and tell me in a little bit what you come up with. So we go our separate ways in the event, and he comes up to me like a little bit later in the event and said, devin, I, I, I figured it, I figured it out what it is that I learned after all, I was like, okay, awesome. What is it? And he said, when it comes to math, everyone is always trying to, if, you know, even himself included, I'm always trying to understand, why am I doing these formulas. You always try to seek, like, why is it that we're trying to do this? Why do these things work? How do they work? And trying to understand, you know, how these things came to be. We're trying to understand things, we're trying to understand the math, we're trying to understand the formulas. And this is where most people go wrong, is they try to understand the math and instead, if they can just. Or as soon as you instead just try to drop the understanding or when he stopped trying to understand things and instead just follow the formulas, he was able to figure things out really quickly. He was able to get good at the solving the problems, the math problems, to solving the formulas. If he just instead just followed the process that was out there and just followed the steps of the formulas and got really good at the steps of the formulas, he was able to get really good and he would learn way faster, and he would apply it faster, and inevitably, actually, he would understand why they were the way that they were significantly faster. He would then understand, oh, this is why this function works. This is why this algorithm works. This is why this equation works. This is why you put this part here, you know, this is why you put this part of the formula here. It was only after him following the equation, following the system, following the steps, and following the process that he was able to decipher the meaning behind everything after following following these formulas. And I could really relate with that because I myself failed calculus in college and I actually ended up having to retake it. And I still got like a C, I think like a D in the class, just enough to pass it after retaking it. And so I could understand that a lot. And I've also seen a lot of people, you know, like, live in despair in life. I've lived in despair in life. I was trying to understand, like, how did I end up in these situations? You, you try to ask yourself, how did you end up here? Like, why are we here? What's the meaning of all this? What's the meaning of life? What's, you know, how. How is it that some people are able to become so successful and you're still working that same job or, you know, you still have the same day that you've been living for weeks, months, years, decades. You keep living the same life over and over again. You try to understand. We try to understand how we ended up here. Like, why are we in these circumstances is. We try to understand everything. And just like math equations, it works easier when you try not to understand. You just live. You just live in the moment. You just follow the process that's in front of you. And we don't question things. If we don't just don't question things and we just follow the, Follow the blueprint, we will inevitably get good at applying the blueprint, applying the plan, applying the equation, and then we will understand through. Through the application. That's how I got to making over $300,000 in a month until I got to where I'm making millions of dollars a year in my early 20s for a long time. I'll be honest, I've been doing this for a while. I couldn't get any results. I kept like, I'm just trying to ask, like, why are things the way they are? Why. Why can't I figure things out? And it wasn't until I just. I saw someone that was dumber than me that was making millions of dollars, and they obviously had figured it out. And I didn't. You know, I knew for a fact they weren't any smarter than me. They didn't spell things correctly. They didn't, you know, they didn't have, you know, this suit and tie on that we see of success. Like, they were just some average dude that was pretty dumb, but they figured it out. And what the difference was of that person that I saw versus anybody else that I saw out there was that he didn't ask questions. He just didn't ask. He didn't really care to ask. And, you know, maybe it was a lack of intelligence or a lack of brain cells, but it was just. He just saw there was a system and a blueprint, and he followed it. And then through that is, he definitely knew things. He understood why things worked the way that they worked, and he was able to. To share this wisdom on the other side of his results that he got. And now he was pretty dumb in a lot of other areas in his life. Maybe geography, didn't understand geography, thought Vermont was a country, but he understood success. He Understood money, He understood how to get rich. He understood these things that like we all need and want in this current society, in this current world that we live in, to be able to do whatever we want in life. And it was like something clicked inside of my head that didn't click. When I was in calculus class in college, when I was in calculus class in college, I tried to understand everything and I could not figure it out. And I had this one friend, he was pretty dumb in calculus and he was, he was really good at math. And I was like, I did not get it. I like, how are you so good at math and you socially awkward? You see like a lot of these really smart people are socially awkward. They don't get a lot of things. But what they are good at is following instruction and following the steps of the process. They have faith in the process. They trust. They, they, they walk by faith and not by sight. They, they just listen to those that have the wisdom and they don't try to seek the wisdom, they just seek the teachings. They just seek to follow the processes that are given by these people that are out there that have the wisdom already, that already figured it out and instead of trying to be, have that wisdom that that person had, instead they just try to follow the formula that was given by that person at that stage. I don't know why it's doing a thumbs up. Let's do a thumbs or thumbs down. This. There you go, thumbs up. Make sure to like the video. But that's the problem you're facing right now. This despair that you live in, the lack of results, the lack of the person that you want to become, the constant smacking your head against the wall over and over and just being dumbfounded and knowing that there is so much opportunity out there, knowing there is so much money out there, knowing that there are people living the life that you want to live and yet you're not there. You can't achieve it, you can't attain it and you can't comprehend. Just doesn't make sense. And so instead you adopt a victim mindset. Instead you adopt a victim mindset that just, oh, everybody has nice things. They buy it on credit cards. That's. Yep, that's what it is. Consumer debt set at an all time high. Everybody's buying stuff on credit cards. That's how they're doing it. And I don't want to be in debt, so I don't need nice things. I don't want nice things. I don't want to be a douchebag. You know, that guy's a douchebag. Like, they're all, everybody owns Ferraris, lives in nice houses. They're douchebags, they're assholes. But what that is is actually the ego speaking. It's easier to think that other people are living these lives through cheating the system, then following a step by step process in a blueprint. Because that's the only thing that our brains can recognize and make sense of. Because we try to comprehend and understand everything. And when you try to comprehend and understand things without context, like a math equation, if you try to understand why formulas work the way that they work, or why you use these equations without context, without applying the formula, and you're just trying to understand the formula all day, you're never, you're going to come up with weird reasons as to why things are the way they are. And that is what is known as delusion. You become delusional and you just choose the convenient answers. You choose the beliefs that serve delusion. That's why the world is the way that it is today. That's why it's so messed up. That's why the world is so effed up right now, is because it is so convenient. Instead of getting real context, it is easier, so easy that there is just droves of these people in this world that would rather believe in delusion than to actually do the work or to do the thing. And it's just so convenient to do this. That's just how humans work. That's the cycle. There's a point where it ends. I don't want to be super morbid here, but there is a point where delusion stops and that's when reality hits. And that's where the point happens, the breakthrough point, the point that everything breaks inside of yourself in society. It's just how the cycle works. And for those of you that are, you know, hopefully someone intelligent, smart watching this video, or even, you know, even the dumb people probably get this better than the smart people do, is that inevitably we're going to run into these breaking points. And instead of having to reach the breaking points, why not just learn from the, the failures of history of other people and just take their lessons that they have their formulas and just instead of trying to understand why they came up with these formulas and instead of just, instead just trusting and having faith in the process. But instead we have to question everything and we have to understand everything that is out there. Now I will say if you're completely dissatisfied, if you're unhappy with your life and you do something about it. And you actually try to, instead of trying to look outside of yourself, and instead you try to look within and try to become the greater version of yourself. Like you, you know, you go to the gym, you develop skill sets, social skills, you put yourself out there, you try to go meet people consistently and network and, and put yourself in these environments and are, and are willing to put yourself in these very discomforting positions and just trusting the process, you will see this, the result and the livelihood. Now obviously, if you've been doing something for years and for decades, or you see other people that for years and for decades are doing something and it's obviously not working, then yeah, like, let's pivot, let's go a different direction. But if something's working, a formula is already working. We don't need to question it. We just need to follow the process. If it's working, if it's not working, then that's obvious. Let's make change and instead of reacting on emotion, let's react on data. A company value that I have in my or a value that I have at all my companies. And a lot of my success is we make decisions based off of data driven truth and not emotion because we can't trust emotion. Emotion can be all over the place and without the right context, emotions can make us do wild, crazy things. You see it out there all the time. You probably made some crazy decisions, maybe with an ex girlfriend or boyfriend or you know, whatever relationships you've had in your life. If you make decisions based off of emotion, you're gonna make weird, delusional decisions that don't even actually align with logic or with reality at all. And instead if we just actually look at the data, if we look at logic and we look at the actual logical things that are out there, if we look at the logic of the income that you are making right now, and let's say you're making two hundred thousand, a hundred thousand dollars a year, a measly $100,000 a year. If you just do the math and you subtract the taxes that you have to pay on that, you're left with like 60 grand. Especially with like inflation and with all the stuff that's, you know, the things, the rising costs of everything, it doesn't make sense. There's like no actual sense. When we look at the logic of things, we don't need to understand, we don't need to understand why it's that way. We don't need to like, you know, try to attach meaning to these things. We just need to look at the facts and just do the math and just realize, hey, do the equation. Hey, this isn't making sense. We don't need to understand this. We just need to look and realize that this doesn't make sense. We need to change, we need to do the formula correct. Like the formula isn't working and how can we make it so the formula works? How can we get a formula that works and to serve the greater value that we have, which is doing the formula correctly and getting good at the formula and getting the formula to work in your favor in your life. And so if you're watching this, you know, I'm making kind of some social commentary and commentary about you in your life and the discoveries that I've gone through. Obviously in this video, the formula that you're looking for is the traditional formula no longer works. And the formula that you're looking for is out there plain as day of what is working. And the issue is our ego gets in the way and we attach meaning to the formula to said formula and we try to define, we try to understand the formula. We're like, oh yeah, just, you know, credit card debt, some bullshit, you know, that's what it is. No way. No, everybody's making this money right now. No way people can afford anything. You know, everybody's broke. That's how it is. But if you look at it, there are more wealthy people in the world today than there ever has been ever before. So there's someone's pulling our leg here and making up this data or there's actually, you know, or maybe the reality that you're living in the bubble that you're living in is limiting you and holding you back from the, from the truest self that you can possibly be, be and become and are capable of. Because right now there is over half a million people with a net worth of over $30 million. And just before, you know, let's say 2019, I don't have to put labels on current, like past events or anything, but you know, 2019, prior there was 200,250, 000. And over the last, what is it, almost five years now there had, we have over doubled. I think we're probably like 550 million or 550, 000 people, 600000 people now that are worth $30 million have an ultra high net worth. You can't buy anything. I just went and bought like a AP the other day and it was like, you know, you can't, you have to get on a wait list. You have to wait months, you have to wait years. It's gotten a little bit easier to buy stuff recently, but it's still like a lot of the nice stuff you can't buy. You can't even get access to it, even if you have the money. It's not even about the money. It's just about, like, you know, knowing the right people, having the right connections. And so do the equation, do the math. Don't try to understand the math. Just do the math. Ask yourself, does this make sense? Is the math math in the way that we need the math to math? And then if the math is not math in the way that we need to math, then how do we change the numbers that we input into the formula to make the math math in the way that we need the math to math, so the math is looking good. All that to say, you know, it's code four. You need to change up the process that you're doing. You don't need to understand the process that you are currently the formula you're currently running. You don't need to understand the formula that gets you to where you want to go. And instead, you just need to follow the formula. And if anything, you need to turn your brain off. You need to stop thinking, you need to stop overthinking things is what it is. You're overthinking things, and you're probably even overthinking things right now watching this video. And it's a lot simpler than what it is. I will say, the more money I've made, the more success I've had, the more simple I make things to be. The more complex I had things, the less money I made, the more complex things are, the more problems that are occurring. And so instead, when you just detach meaning from everything and quit trying to understand things and also forgetting everything that you know and any preconceived notions that you have, and any limiting beliefs, any limiting thoughts, any, you know, any, you know, thinking that, like, oh, because I can't work or make progress, I'm procrastinating, just dropping all of that and just letting things just be finding the person with the formula, following the formula, and you will get exactly the result that you are looking to get if you want the math equation to work for you. I don't know how many times I'm being a dead horse here a little bit, but I really want to drive this point, you know, through repetition with you guys. So you understand this is that if you just follow the formula you and you follow the formula to the T just as it was made, as the formula was made. You will get the outcome, you will get the results. And what's nice is we live in a world where reality is able to tell us, yeah, you got the result, or no, you didn't get the result. Yeah, you made the money. No, you didn't make the money, or yeah, you got this thing to get lots of views, or no, you didn't get any views. Okay, so maybe we didn't follow the formula correctly. And the formula loves repetition. It loves practice, it loves using it a lot and just trusting the process. When we trust the process, the formulas become really simple and really obvious. And I'm telling you this from, I came from nothing. Like, if you're watching this video, you know, and if you're familiar with my story, I, I, I, I saw my family, my parents, people around me, you know, build themselves up and then lose everything and then slowly, over time, kind of build things back up again. But by the time I was out on my own in the real world and, you know, I went to college and dropped out of college, I had, you know, I was given nothing really other than just like, you know, some, some love and some, some advice, life advice, you know, that, you know, I had to discern even if the life advice was good or not. I should not be the man that I am today, is what I am saying. Like, I should not be living the lifestyle that I am living. I should not be traveling. Like, I've done over 30 flights this year. I've made millions of dollars this year. Like, I should not be that person. I shouldn't. It just like, if you knew, like that I lived in a farm town in the middle of nowhere and I got, you know, I was the odd one out of everywhere that I lived in school, and I just couldn't fit in. And I just, you know, all I had was just the, the goodness of my soul and my being. That was really it. And when I, when I started doing things for myself, I had nothing. I literally had $200 by name. And I had to figure out how to pay rent at the end of the month, and I had to figure it out. My rent was like fourteen hundred dollars and I had no job, I had no income. I had none of that. And I had to figure it out. And I found a way out of it. And not only did I find a way out, then I ran out of money like hundreds of times. And you just kind of end up at this point, over the years where you just start to suck a little bit less and you start to get better and better at following the formula, your ego finally dies. Enough times where you're just like, yeah, whatever, just get rid of the ego, Just follow the formula, follow the process. And you just have this stupid blind faith that eventually, inevitably, like, like me, get to where you're making millions of dollars a year. You get to do whatever you want. You get to spend time with whoever you want. You get to meet very incredible successful people. You get to be friends with just incredibly awesome people and do cool shit in your life and feel like you finally have found the purpose that you were meant to be on this, this planet. In the short time that we all have here, if you guys understand, if any of that, you know, guys are resonate with any of that, you'll get it. You'll, you'll, you'll see the proof or you see, you'll, you'll, you'll hear the, the wisdom, wisdom that I'm trying to give you guys inside of here. This could be a whole lot of something or this could be a whole lot of nothing inside of this video. And I think it's a former TO but the thing that I will say for you watching this video, what I want so deeply for you, but you can only lead a horse to the water. You can't make a drink, which is. Quit trying to understand everything, my friend. That's what I have for you.
