Cât din viața unui cuplu e sex?

In this Romanian‑language monologue, Mihail Pautov confronts the common stereotype that gay, lesbian, or homosexual couples exist solely for sexual activity. He asks viewers to consider how much time, in a heterosexual relationship, is actually spent having sex and points out that the same assumptions are often applied to LGBTQ+ couples. Pautov then provides a rough calculation: assuming a couple has sex three times a week, each encounter lasting about ten minutes, the total sexual time over ten years amounts to roughly 260 hours – about eleven days, or 0.3 % of the decade. He uses this figure to argue that sexual activity occupies a tiny fraction of a partnership’s lifespan. The remainder of the relationship consists of talking, liking each other, arguing, and sharing daily life, underscoring that couples – regardless of orientation – engage in a rich, multifaceted connection beyond the bedroom.
